Title: Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D

Naaman - April 18, 2009 10:05 PM (GMT)
First single Boom Boom Pow is the current #1 in the US, it sold 468,572 digital copies in it's first week of release!!

Don't really see why to be honest...

Coked Up Baby Boy - April 18, 2009 11:38 PM (GMT)
Meh, i don't mind them or anything, but....whatever really, i just have no interest in them anymore.

jess - April 19, 2009 11:35 AM (GMT)
I'm hoping this will grow! I want more songs like Where Is The Love and Don't Lie!

benjo - April 19, 2009 12:46 PM (GMT)
It's really crap! What happened to Don't Phunk With My Heart-BEP.

I Am... Michael Fierce - April 19, 2009 02:47 PM (GMT)
How was it so successful. I thought it was a joke record!

Candyman - April 21, 2009 07:48 AM (GMT)
Yeah when I first heard it a few months ago I thought it was shit but I love it now. One to BLAST.

Rosie* - April 22, 2009 12:24 AM (GMT)
It's sh*t. But i never liked them that much anyway...

Sick Piger - April 22, 2009 03:23 PM (GMT)
Its a great song to play at a party. Its got a mean bass line and the techno mixing is sick. Fergie and BEP fans have been waiting a long time for new music so I'm not surprised they're eating it up in such a frenzy.

Candyman - April 23, 2009 12:45 PM (GMT)
They've already filmed a video for the second single which was produced by David Guetta.

Noles - May 11, 2009 09:03 AM (GMT)
I'm so 3008, You're so 2000 and LATE

Anyhow I love the beat of this song and it has really grown on me. Its a good running song!

Karen - May 12, 2009 04:08 AM (GMT)
It really IS crap, but yeah, it has a great bassline and it's brilliantly recorded. Good job, Will I Am!

HOWEVER! It has no tune whatsoever and the only interesting bit is the high-pitched female vocals just before it all goes completely boring again.

Anthony Kerty - May 12, 2009 06:29 PM (GMT)
It's barely average. Really seems to be their E.N.D.. I wonder why it's doing this good in the US.

Youngster - May 12, 2009 06:39 PM (GMT)
It's #1 on UK Itunes as well.

Karen - May 12, 2009 07:07 PM (GMT)
Cue collective head-shaking

Candyman - May 22, 2009 09:37 AM (GMT)
New single 'I Gotta Feeling'.

I think it's disgusting.

Coked Up Baby Boy - May 30, 2009 10:55 AM (GMT)
8 tracks from the album have leaked so far. I'm still trying to get into single #2 "I Gotta Feeling', but there's some other cool ones in the bunch. Definitely going to be a good album.

Tracks leaked so far:

Boom Boom Pow
Alive [I heard this is the iTunes bonus track or something]
I Gotta Feeling
Imma Be
I Cam Make You Dance
Meet Me Halfway
Missing You
Party All The Time
Ring-A-Ling

I Am... Michael Fierce - May 30, 2009 11:10 AM (GMT)

It's nithe and thummery

Karen - May 31, 2009 03:02 AM (GMT)

This is my first time hearing the song, it sounds pretty good - nice and summery like Mike said.

I Am... Michael Fierce - May 31, 2009 07:28 PM (GMT)
It'll be interesting to see what he does with Cheryl. I would really like 'I Gotta Feeling' with just her vocals over it.

Coked Up Baby Boy - May 31, 2009 10:11 PM (GMT)
I still hate it, it reminds me of S Club 7 or something.

Karen - June 1, 2009 04:56 AM (GMT)
I can hardly think of a band that's as consistently annoying as the Black Eyed Peas. I've hated them from the start and I still hate them. I remember when the rumor went around, about 4 years ago, that they were splitting up and everybody was like "Great!"

Naaman - June 3, 2009 07:46 PM (GMT)

LMFAO. WHAT?!

Karen - June 3, 2009 11:51 PM (GMT)
If you can remember it, you weren't there! :tease:

Naaman - June 5, 2009 07:59 PM (GMT)
LOLZ@no one caring that this album leaked!

Candyman - June 5, 2009 08:05 PM (GMT)
Did you listen to it?

I Am... Michael Fierce - June 5, 2009 08:16 PM (GMT)
I wanna listen to it! But don't feel the need to INTERRUPT BEYONCE at THIS moment.

Coked Up Baby Boy - June 6, 2009 12:40 AM (GMT)
It's a good album, a bit over long and a few SHIT songs, but overall a good party record. I don't LOVE it, but it's solid. kiss.

Did you listen to it?

I did actually, and you know what - I really quite like it! This is a bigger deal than it first appears for me as I've never really appreciated BEP before aside from a few of the singles. I just haven't been able to sit through their albums at all, they just sounded so messy and unapproachable.

But this one has something about it, I like how it's a feelgood summery dance album. There are alot of cool tracks on it. They are quite long (I think most songs are about 4:30) which means it can drag abit, but it's a good effort IMO.

Coked Up Baby Boy - June 8, 2009 12:45 AM (GMT)
I agree, i love alot of the songs, but a few of them really don't need to be 5 minutes long.

Naaman - June 13, 2009 08:51 PM (GMT)
OK I am strangely ADDICTED to this album! The first 10 songs or so are on constant rotation for me right now. I don't know what it is, it's just a really solid, interesting (SOME RETARDED LYRICS ASIDE) dance record.

Meet Me Halfway is awesome! And ROCK THAT BODY is the EPITOME of hot!!!!!

I WANNA ROCK RIGHT NOW
I WANNA I WANNA ROCK RIGHT NOW!

:dance2:

Candyman - June 13, 2009 09:01 PM (GMT)
But can you respect yourself the next morning?

Naaman - June 13, 2009 09:06 PM (GMT)
Lmao how weird, I JUST said the lyrics were rubbish! Yeah it's a good uptempo album to move to, who cares what they're actually saying in it.

Candyman - June 13, 2009 09:11 PM (GMT)
Black Eyed Peas are like the eptiome of DISPOSABLE though aren't they?

Cruise - June 14, 2009 08:59 AM (GMT)
THE E.N.D IS a solid dance record, esp since they're a rnb group to begin with.

It's amazing how fickle US acts are in terms of what music they produce and what is popular. Five years a go they would have been all "We're RnB and RnB only!"
