:ph43r: Devil’s Dread-Root was recently released in Japan and i have the opportunity to get it for $15 but was wondering if it was worth it. It is based from the Japanese magna Yugioh R and is the most powerful effect monster in the game. However, its a little hard to get out. Here it is:
Devil’s Dread-Root
Dark/Fiend - Level 10 - 4000/4000
Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned by offering three Monsters on your side of the Field as a Tribute. As long as this card is face-up on the Field, the Attack and Defense strengths of all other Monsters on both sides of the Field are halved.
I can see some combos with Reverse Trap, Soul Exchange, etc.
So what do u think???

Good card. Go for it. but it'll be in japanese wont it? so you wont be able to use it legally

That is one powerful card...maybe more powerful than the god cards...even when it gets here, you probably won't be able to play it in tourneys...but this is definately why effect monsters are better!
dam that card is evil...I'd love to try it on some poor unsuspecting duelist!!! MWAHAHA! >:(

The tributing of three monsters does hurt really bad tho. I mean have you actually TRIED to use Moisture Creature's effect (which has you to tribute 3 monsters to summon it) its very difficult

Interesting...I could think of some ways to get this baby out.
Ultimate Offering, use your opponents monsters...*some Return from another dimension* type card....etc, etc.
It'd be fun to have...Jap or not

But I know that you do like Magic Thorn which will ding him for using Divine Wrath by 500 or even more if you have other copies of Magic Thorn or Dark Room of Nightmare.
