Flashburnt - March 29, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
Thats not mean bro.
Yeah I do have all of those.
It's my own fault I guess...I used to turn off my firewall to play AOT. Because even if I added to my list of allowed programs on my firewall, I could still never enter a server with the firewall running.
Ah well I have nothing on my computer to worry about anyways :P
Why_Me - March 29, 2005 09:27 AM (GMT)
We have Ventrillo also flash if you want to give that a try. Hell, we have it all. Two ts servers, ventrillo server, and Ops mom. ;)

1) Ventrilo > TS in all it's forms
2) You do NOT have a virus..... it's a false positive. Use the newest exe and it will go away.
This is taken directly from TS's main news page.

Background In early June 2004, many users within the Teamspeak community informed us of a possible virus issue -- specifically with the "keypress.dll" file which is installed by the Teamspeak client.
The Problem Since we were informed of this issue the Teamspeak Team has been heavily involved in trying to determine the accuracy of this claim. After rigorous internal testing and numerous phone calls into all of the major antivirus companies including Symantec (Norton Antivirus), Network Associates (McAfee), and Trend Micro, NONE of these companies can verify NOR deny that a virus actually exists in "keypress.dll".
To the best of our collective knowledge, it is so far more likely that this is a "false positive" -- meaning that the antivirus application is finding data in keypress.dll that LOOKS like the same sort of data found in an infected file containing the Trojan "PWS-Wexd" (virus)...even though the file is most likely not infected at all.
If you are still truly concerned that this may actually be a virus, please try visiting the following link: http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp...&virus_k=100476 This URL contains detailed information on the PWS-Wexd Trojan, including a section on "indications of infection" -- which we have meticulously verified so far do NOT exist on anyone's supposed infected computer.
The Solution At this time we have put together a new Teamspeak client installation executable which you may download HERE.
Simply shutdown your Teamspeak client if it is running and re-install Teamspeak using this executable right on top of your existing installation and the problem should go away. It is NOT necessary to first uninstall your existing Teamspeak client and you will also NOT lose your current Address Book and other client settings.
Summary It is our every intent to resolve matters such as these in a timely manner...and with as much information to validate a working solution as possible. We want to thank you for your patience as we work through this issue.

Vent is uber gay. It sounds cheap and generic and the program itself looks ugly and over complicated design. They need to make it look sexier, sound better, and make the use of it easier then I'll use vent. Teamspeak owns vent in the face.
AcidLollipops - March 31, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
I like more complex, then I get to figure it out. But that's just the competitiveness in me. Like portforwarding, I had to figure that out for Azureus a week or so ago.. and yeah, that's somewhat complex, you definitely need to know what you are doing. I hate PHP simply because it's too easy. But it is great for people who don't want to learn HTML, Java, or even Flash. On the other hand, I want to learn all that, and have basic knowledge in 'em. So vent would be more my style. And also, vent is the same as TS coded at 25.9kbit. I dun really care which one, but others have more of a preference.
Take XP for example, it is more simplified for dummies now, then the past older versions like 98 and such.
Yeah Paul, I totally forgot about this, good thing you were readin'. I remember y'all posting this on the other forums we are on. Damn, I can't believe I didn't connect the dots.
Flashburnt - April 1, 2005 03:47 AM (GMT)
hmm....well the virus the scanners came up with was called ----
BackdoorGWGhost.bat or something like that. So I just deleted the whole value in the registry editor.
Enaxus - June 28, 2005 12:48 AM (GMT)
Well my damn TS wont let me connect to anything. It try's then it says its not responding, then it closes. And then. I can't open it. So what the fuck damnit motherfucker. I hate my computer.
Enaxus - June 28, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
Well Flash, through my years of experience with computers. I have found that anything with "Backdoor" in it's name, refers to anal sex. So I'm guessing, the "BackdoorGWghost.bat" is a porn program. Hey it's only one letter short of GGW, so my theory is, "Anal girls gone wild ghosts" are invading your computer. Maybe it's not such a bad thing!
