So for the newb in me......I'm wondering if there is any advantage in going with a dual channel kit of memory. Like this one.

All I know is I need 184-Pin (PC 3200) and I have an Asus A7V8X-X mobo.
Not sure if that mobo supports this dual channel kit , or if I even have to worry about that.
I wondered if someone would give me some feedback. Or give me a better choice.
I am willing to shell out the cash for good memory. I have 3 DIMM slots and the first one is fucked up. So I need to get two sticks of the best compatible memory I can put in. Many reviews claim Corsair is quality....but at the same time it seems the failure rate seems pretty high to.

Any suggestions???

It's the same exact ram. theres no difference between the two. If you want 2 gigs u might as well buy the first pack. I have the same ram but its 4 x 512. ram works great. it overclocks decently.

are u sure u wanna drop that much money on that ram? maybe you should upgrade ur mobo to ddr2 and have some ram that'll last for a bit longer?

B) if u wanna stick with ur current system then theres no need to buy badass ram if its gonna be an out dated pos soon... unless ur gonna overclock the shit out of it then u wanna get pc-4000 or higher so the ram can handle the fsb speed. the corsair or kingston value ram is pretty good if ur not lookin to overclock ur outdated pos system :D
