Or this one? Keep in mind im only running an Athlon 2500+XP with an Asus A7V8X-X mobo and only 512 DDR.
I have a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 now and cant even run BF2. So I want something that will kick the shit out of any game.
Thx if anyone can give me any technical advice.

Buy whatever is cheaper. The cards wont be worth half the price in a couple years. They'll both last a long thing though. My 9800XT was $500 when it first came out and now its like $250. It's AGP but it can still handle most games on high settings.
Firestarter - December 25, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
i would say the nvidia cause later on you can buy another one if its SLI and if your mobos SLI and thats pretty much the best GPU you can get ur dirty little hands on now, ive heard nothing butt good things about the 7800, but then again.... i havent done any research on any ATI cards lately cause in my opinion nvidia has won the latest battle
Digital-KilleR - December 25, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)
Ok, if ur AGP, the best card u can get is the X850XT Platinium Edition.
If PCIExpress, Between those 2 cards, The 7800GTX is REALLY better then the X1800XT. You can SLI it with another card if u want one later.
I would recommend the 7800GTX because the R520 (X1800XT) is not so great about it.
Firestarter - December 27, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
and for battlefeild u def want the 7800 trust me its going to look crazy, it looks crazy on my friends computer and he only has 2 6800s not even the 7800
Firestarter - December 27, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
wait flash are they both the same price? cause if they are get the radeon man that shit spanks the 7800 bigger core and memory clock speeds and its a 512
Flashburnt - December 27, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
The radeon is a little bit more. And yeah looks like your right about the clock speed and memory.
But what about the SLI with the 7800?
I don't even know what it is. Sounds like it allows you to run multiple cards?
Ops_Director - December 27, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)
sli is buying another vid card and having them both work together. so its like spending twice as much money :P but if u dont wanna drop that much cash u can buy the second vid card in a few years when you cant play Doom 6 on high settings :D
Firestarter - December 29, 2005 02:44 AM (GMT)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814142052But if you got the cash you might as well go for the whole tamale
Ninja - January 7, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
BFG 7800 GTX OC is the best 7800 made besides the 512 mb models.
If you want to argue look it up first ;) It clocks higher and has a lfietime warranty.
Why_Me - January 7, 2006 02:30 AM (GMT)
We are showing him cheaper yet good alternitives for vid cards. Not everyone wants to spend that kind of dough on a damn vid card for a video game.
Firestarter - January 7, 2006 05:13 PM (GMT)
