ahh! I'm not creative enough to create a position for each character! So for now I'm just going to say that I love Fred and George. We are definately watching their characters grow, but they also continue to supply us with comic relief. Plus, they've got some classic one liners:
"Give her hell from us Peeves!"
"What are we, next door neighbors?"

CheerTwisters13 - February 21, 2005 05:14 PM (GMT)
Haha! I love Fred and George! My friend Jenny and I are just like them!

hermionefan4life - February 21, 2005 05:15 PM (GMT)
fred and george rock. they are so funny.

mwiley - February 22, 2005 01:05 AM (GMT)
I think that Fred and George are some of the best characters in all the five books. There aren't many fun, mistivious characters is the book, although most of the characters are awsome. The fact of there being two of then, is great, two is always better than one, unless its umbridge or something! I wish I could get away with things like they do!!! That would be awsome!!!

Lianslo - February 26, 2005 07:48 AM (GMT)
Sometimes I feel bad for Fred and George...because they can get put on the back burner with their family. They're sort of the odd ones out - but I think thats what makes them so loveable! :D

scarletwoman - March 6, 2005 07:37 AM (GMT)
FRED AND GEORGE ARE AWESOME! they're soooo funny. fred is my fave.

Coldfire - March 6, 2005 07:42 AM (GMT)
I do too!!!!!! :D I love them both sooo much, cause they get to do lots of really fun pranks on people!! Kinda reminds me of a friend and I too!!! <_<

Professor Rogue - March 6, 2005 09:55 AM (GMT)
I don't know the difference between them so I'm not sure which is my fav!

Fred and George are hilarious. I love to see what there next joke is, or there next Get Rick Quick scheme.

scarletwoman - March 6, 2005 04:12 PM (GMT)

My Gred and Forge! Long time no see! lol, anyways, I LOVE them! They're really funny...I remember the sixth book: "The problem isn't You-Know-Who anymore, it's U-No-Poo--The constipation sensation that's sweeping the nation!" HAHA! For some reason, though, I like Fred better. But still, much loves to teh twinnehs!! :P

Why you love the twins?: They are "the brightness in the darkness" without them, darkness, fear and dread would swallow and devour all of the books.
They bring out the best which comedy has to offer...and this is badly needed in Harrys world!!!

Up with Fred and George.

("Who know who = The Inspiration with just a tad of constipation"

hgshipper - October 31, 2006 08:28 AM (GMT)
I love Fred and George! They are so hillarious and I love their parts in the story. Whenever they are in it you just know it's going to be funny. Their sarcastic remarks make the story all the more humourous.

nikhil - November 12, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
they are funny.......and they are really clever to find unconventional 'daring' methods to solve their problems ........but they are edgy ............ i guess i fear for them .............
i believe that it is the most daring people who get die first and then the cowards and then the curious ones but it is the courageous who really stand.........and fred and george are edgy,daring,.......and right now they live alone in their shops :( ........please jk dont .......the people could do with a few laughs, especially now like harry said.

I love Fred and George for lots of reasons. They're extremely imaginative and creative. They're energetic and not afraid of hard work (it took a lot of effort to develop those skyving snackboxes!). They have a fantastic sense of humor. Their mischief is not excessively destructive (and in the case of Umbridge, I think it qualifies as constructive). They are not bullies. They are unconventional (I mean, can you imagine them seriously applying for jobs at the Ministry, like Percy did?) And they even know how to ask a girl for a date! What's not to love?

I think (hope) they'll survive Book 7. Aside from the fact that they're accomplished wizards (even if they did drop out of school), and very smart, I don't think that even JKR could be that cruel. If a Weasley has to die, let it be Percy! That git has been in denial since the beginning!

nikhil - November 13, 2006 10:39 AM (GMT)
but the death eaters dont kill gits........ fred and george must have been pretty clever to figure out the marauders map.......

* I just love Gred and Forge's character. They're great!! I think what Harry said in the fourth book is true, that in the time of darkness that is coming and how that the world could use some more laughter. Of course I'm paraphrasing

Why you love the twins?:

They set the bar for pranksters. They keep the books a little more light and let people know that even the darkest of times, humor can and does exist.

Gerdy - June 2, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
What is there not to love about the twins?! They aer so funny. They're my fav. characters!

:wizard:

stephlynn82 - June 7, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
Fred and George are always a welcome light moment in the serious parts of Harry Potter. There's been so many times during my reading that I'm on the edge of my seat and tense and on the very next page, Fred and George say or do something so funny, I actually laugh out loud.

Why you love the twins?: They're complete and utter geniuses, that's why! They're smart, hilarious, cool, not afraid to try and fail--they make the books ten times better! (Plus, they're pretty cute!)

I LOVE Fred and George!!! They are my favoritist-ist-ist characters.
Why did Fred have to die?! Why?! WHY?! *sobs* I miss Fred!!
dreamdancer7699 - August 3, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
MY FRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will just never forgive her for this. It's so wrong to kill one twin and leave the other one alive, and maimed. I hope that George named his son after Fred. :(
hot - August 7, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
I have cried, like, everyday about this. I am sooooooo angry. I can't believe she would do that! It's so not fair!!! I hope George does name his kid after Fred. I thought that the worst thing she would do to the twins is make them no longer identical by chopping off George's ear and making him holey. But killing Fred?! HOW COULD SHE!?        *runs off crying*
Professor Rogue - August 8, 2007 06:43 AM (GMT)
Oh I know what you guys mean. Part of me feels as though killing Fred was forced. In the sense of them being twins, one dead, one lives. It seems so cruel which is what JK was going for, of course. But we all get that Voldermort is "bad." Fred's death was so unnecessary.
Twilight - August 8, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
I'm really, really hurtin' about Fred's death. I couldn't believe how much I cried! JKR was too cruel!
hot - September 1, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
Though I'm not sure if this really helps or not on the issue of Fred dying and all, but I read in an interview that JK said that she cried when she had to kill Fred. But here's my counter. SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL HIM!!!!! *runs off crying again*
doratheauror - September 24, 2007 12:43 PM (GMT)
I have to say that these guys are absolutely hilarious, the characters were really well done and often provide great comic relief if it weren't for hermione and tonks these guys would probably be my favorites.

dreamdancer7699 - September 30, 2007 06:47 AM (GMT)
I thought they were funny in SS and in CoS but it was in PoA that I fell in love with them. I like Hermione a lot, and she would be my favorite if it wasnt for the twins, but these guys were just perfect. They were smart, rebellious, and the right side, troublemakers and loyal. And they were cute. No way they couldn't be my faves. Lol

hot - November 5, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
I love the twins! I still can't believe what happened in the seventh book, but I think I've mostly gotten over it. *looks around to make sure no one is watching and crys at the memory. composes self and continues* Anyway, I love how they're rebelious and don't seem to care at all if they get into trouble. LOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM!!!
