Description: In my opinion anyway

I finished a really good book series a while back. It was The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I loved all seven of them. They've got magic, adventure, mystery, and cool characters and creatures. A lot of it takes place in a this place called Mid-World. But some of it takes place in our world. The characters can travel across different wheres and whens (as they put it). Really cool books. Has anyone else read them???

i've been planning to read them for a while already but didn't want to start it before HBP came out. now that i've read HBP twice tho i'm going to the library this weekend - have already put it on hold (the first two). i'm a HUGE stephen King fan!! read several of his books (there's a SK thread on page two) and have only heard good things about this series. can't wait to start it this weekend :)

I've read up to Susannah's Song and I've loved them all so far ^_^ I've been meaning to get the next one, but I haven't had enough time, and I'm reading a bunch of different authors right now lol. Hopefully I'll get it soon :)

(If this threas is still going)
What about Dean Koontz? does NOBODY care about him? (hehe) He's pretty good, if you like horror. I mean, Stephen King is awesome in that department, but he also makes it supernatural. I think what Dean Koontz writes about is scarier because you know that there are actual people like the characters he has in his book out there.

Yes, Maine is the location for all Stephen King books. He has a house in bangor and inAugusta. I havent read any Stephen King books but thats just because he isnt that huge in my family nor do we have books that sound interesting for me. I kno w I should read it since he is from Maine. I hope you all enjoy his books and I know a few years ago he was in a wheelchair due to a accident but i think he is out of the wheelchair now.
