Title: Horcruxes
Description: Who else might have one.

jyo226 - July 22, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
All of a sudden I just thought maybe someone else is going to come back in the next book. I mean Sirius, Dumbledore, and James would not have killed anyone in order to create a Horcrux but what if a death just happened while fighting evil. Could a Horcrux be created like that? Hmmmm.

I don't think any of them would have created a horcrux, even if they did kill someone who was evil. And another thing, did they even know about horcruxes?
Even so, I just don't think they would have done it..I think that those three in particular weren't afraid of death (for sure dumbledore), and were ready to except it when it happened.

i dont think it would be DD i think it would be Sirus cuase he is kinda evil and crazed and that he had atleast killed one person....u kno or james could of done it.....but he was to nice to kill but he might of done it to protect harry later... u kno...

I really dont think sirius or James could even know about Horcruxes, cos if Dumbledore didnt know about them ( & thats pretty weird) _but i also believe that dumbledore could come back in other way, dunno . . ..
Also talking about Horcruxes, what do you say that Harry could be the last Horcruxe ?. .. it think so b-cos all that when they say that voldemort pass some of his powers on Harry and the fact that Voldemort was going to create his last Horcruxe when he was going to kill Harry- also the fact that they could feel the emotions of each other on book5, I mean . . .it fits - or not ?

I think it could be a possibility

I also think that dumbledore has another way to come back, because he knew about the unbreakable vow, and also knew that if draco couldn't kill him, snape would have to and knowing that, i think he would have been prepared for it.

I'm pretty sure we can rule out DD....tho i think harry is going to talk to his portrait sometime in the next book somehow.
James, well only if he wanted to come back an help harry, but i think he would've come back earlier if he wanted to help.
Sirius, don't think so, just doesn't seem like something he'd do. Because it's a very evil thing, and Sirius was never afraid of death (as Nearly Headless Nick said). Plus, I don't thik that they could've done it just because it IS very advanced magic and they just wouldn't have known how.

I don't know, but even if they did know how to do it, i just don't think they would have. If they did know how to do it however, i think they would have been able to succeed if they wanted to.

I don't know i first said Dumbledore because maybe...but in the first book it said that Dumbledore doesn't do dark magic so that takes that out. James I doubt he would have because it just doesn't sound like him or Sirious but we can never be sure can we...

I misunderstood the question...I thought jyo226 meant 'who has a Horcruxe of Voldemorts?'
Oops.
Anyway,in answer to jyo226's question: Dumbledore might've made one.Out of mistake, maybe. Just becaus Dumbledore doesnt do Dark Magic now, doesnt mean he never used to do it...He knows loads of stuff afterall...Anyway,it is a possibility...
I dont think James or Sirius wouldve made one.
Snape maybe, but i dont think so.

Umm...Heath? I have a comment. McGonnagal says in one of the books that Dumbledore has the same powers and abilities that Voldemort has, he was just too noble to use them. You don't just become noble overnight. Also, Dubledore has never really liked Voldemort because of his evil ways, I don't think that Dumbledore would help him become more evil.

oh I remember what you're talking about Kitty and I see what you're saying. If Dumbledore has the same abilites at Voldermort, that might mean that he did make a Horcruxes. I mean, how much of Dumbledore's past do we really know about? He could have done this and then "changed" to the good side, know what I mean.

I don't know guys, i doubt very seriously if any of them would be willing to split their soul into several pieces. although dd did hint that others have done it in the past, but lv was the only one crazy enough to do it 7 times. the only one i can see even remotely willing to try it would br sirius, but we all know that ultimately sirius was good.

Sardine - June 6, 2006 04:41 AM (GMT)
No,I doubt that Sirius would do it...
Dumbledore might've,but I suppose that we're just gonna have to wait for the 7th book to come out...
I wonder if Snape ever considered doing it,or if he considered himself above such things...
