Ok so Snape really actually is evil...didn't expect it to actually happen but still. DD's dead....yup get all that guessed it had to happen sooner or later. I get the HBP....I think I get those bloody Horucxes....or howeva the heck they are spelt. Not that I can pronunce it or that other word...Spejhcgegfk or sumthin.

For some reason i think i had already read chapter 2 which is impossible but...still I'm weird like that. :P

Meh...All i wanna know is who the heck R.A.B is :wacko: Thats gonna piss me off reeeeeeealllllllllllllllllly bad.

OK ... when we first saw that Snape was evil in the beginning ... I was like ... is he pretending ... but as time went on, I started to hate him even more ....
The couples thing annoyed me after awhile. I mean, so much snogging and romance in one book ... I didn't expect that. And whats up with Ron and Lavender.
That DD dying was really sad ... the funeral ... I actually believe that I was crying while reading it. I think that ... it was un-expected and really sound ... I believe that he'll be in the last book although.
Draco wasn't going to kill him ... I admire him ... there is hope for him I believe and the only real thing that was pushing him was the fact that his mother was in danager.
I can't believe that Snape killed him ... I mean, that man! Im going to haunt his ass down and KICK IT!
Ok ... what else is there ... umm Harry cried in the book ... Im going to enjoy seeing someone act that one out.
Im looking forward to finding out who R.A.B is as well...
Also, is Harry, Hermione and Ron seriously not going back to Hogwarts? I think that Neville and Luna might end up joining them ... im not sure about Ginny ... as Harry doesn't want to get her hurt...
And also ... At the end ... when they were in DD office ... Prof MG and Harry ... there was a portrait of DD on the wall ... I think that thats going to have a part in the next book

Ahem anywayz...With the whole Snape is evil plot...WHY the HECK did DD even trust him in the first place. That he felt sorry for getting Lily and James killed is the biggest bit of BLEEP eva.

Anywayz Ive been around scronging up some theories and what-not. A lot of people seem to think that DD wasn't the real DD coz he was wearing Slytherin's ring at one point, because he was pleading to Snape and somthing somthing. I'm not sure about that idea since fwakes was so upset and with the painting in his office.

As for R.A.B there has been a lot of talk of Regulas Black...I think his middle name was Augustus...not sure shall check later.

Hello fellow speed readers!

So. . . as I read the first few chapters with Harry in them. . . I found my self remembering how much I loved Dumbledore :P He's just a cute old man. That's when I knew it was going to happen.

Dumbledores death, although expected, was really sad. My eyes watered up. :no: But I guess the big thing is who killed him, not that he died. Some people say he did it only for Narcissa, but why would he take the chance of doing the vow if he was doing it only for her? No I think he is evil.

I think i'm alone in the world, but did anyone else feel sorry for Narcissa? I felt bad for her when she was crying about her only son having to do this or die. Made me think of my parents.

I'm surprised you two arn't all over the couples! Wern't you two for H/G R/Hr? Even if H/G didn't last, it might come back in later books.

I thought Luna was cute in the book, even if we didn't see her all that much, she made an impression.


Maybe the next book tile will be Harry Potter and the Search lol

The couples annoyed me ... I always wanted H/H and G/D and H/who ever ... But as the book went along ... I didn't really mind Harry being with Ginny ... they made an alright couple ...

But one thing that annoyed me was Harry braking up with her ... and then he's not coming back to Hogwarts ... whats up with that? :(

Yeah, after a while I didn't really mind as much as I thought I would. But I don't think I was all that shocked when I read him breaking it off. It's just something Harry would do.

I did like and call Lupin and Tonks. I think it's cute.

the book was amazing!!

i wasn't too thrilled about the first chapter, but i know that it was important to show us how badly the muggles were affected as well by voldemort's return and of course to introduce the new minister.
i was also hoping that the new minister would be someone we know, but i'm fine with it being a new character. the whole wizarding world does not revolve around the few poeple we have been introduced to.

snape: oh i hate him so!!!!! defenitly not one of my favourite characters anymore. when he first made the vow with narcissa i thought J.K. just wants us to think he's evil. the whole time i believed there that he is on the good side :( :(
.......but he could still be. many wizards and witches have given their lives to try to fight voldemort. yes, dumbledore was the most powerful, but it might have been necessary for him to die to assist the order. if snape had not taken the vow there's a good chance voldemort had found out and killed him. and it was very important to have a spy right in voldemorts inner circle........
but i'm not willing to bet on that. i hate snape! i never saw it coming, i was so sure J.K. was trying to throw us off. and james and Lily, too??? i really can't believe dumbledore let him teach at hogwarts after being partly responsible for james's and lily's death! i understand giving second chances and all that.......but there better be a better reason for dumbledore having had such trust in that git! surely he must have considered that snape could be a spy for voldemort and that he was just pretending. come on, we're talking about dumbledore here!!! he also knew that snape was very good at occlumency. i do not accept that as the real reason why dumbledore trusted snape! there will be more to it!


OMG! i cried my eyes out at the end of the book. as snape did it i was still in denial.....i was convinced the curse had gone wrong....well, sort of. i kinda knew he was really dead when snape did it, but i didn't want to believe it :(


romance was totally fine with me :). i'm so excited about those couples! even tho ron and hermy didn't exactly get together noone can say anymore that they won't. and i just love harry and ginny!! lupin and tonks is also very sweet :wub:

i'm so excited about getting so many things right :P . the thing i was totally wrong about was dumbledore dying. i didn't see it coming - i thought he must be in the last book.

but bill and fleur's wedding, harry and ginny, ron and hermione, snape being the HBP (although i have to admit i didn't expect it to be like this) .......yup yup :D


i'm still in shock and upset but J.K. didn't let me down with this book. very well thought out and written! wish it could have been longer :P and yeah, some things could have been a bit more detailed (harry's grief for sirius :( ) harry liking ginny and some others.

R.A.B. my first guess (and i thought about that for a minute before i went on to the next page) was regulus black. and i'm convinced i'm right about that. he wanted to leave voldemort (sirius told us in OotP) , which goes with the note in the locket. i wonder if he ever did destroy it? or could it be at grimmauld place?


this has gotten too long and i'll have to get to bed, but a few more things:
i want voldemort or a death eater to kill snape!! no way do i want him dying to save harry or anything like that. he doesn't deserve that! and if he's on the good side i totally don't agree with what he did! they needed dumbledore so much more than a spy in voldemort's inner circle!

also, J.K. said there was a reason for sirius to die, he had to! i don't get what the difference is between him owning the house or harry.

Yea ... I was a big fan of Harry and Hermione ... the couples thing just got SOOOO annoying. I just wanted to tell them to sort it out.

I had a feeling that he would break up with Ginny ... I had a feeling ... but they grew on me and it was sad to see it ;)

right its a great book just finished it but i didnt think she would kill off dumbledore until book 7 :( and i cant wait for Snape and Malfoy to die :firedevil: i hope harry ends up getting them in book 7 i really do and thats another thing i didnt know Tonks liked Lupin surprised me when i was reading and the wedding of bill and the other girl will be cool to look forward to i just cant wait for book 7 hopefully harry kils every single death eater and voldemort

I would first like to point out that I am not a Snape lover or even remotely a fan of his...but...

I do not believe Snape is entirely evil. Draco was Snape's favorite pupil, and the Malfoy's were his friends. Meanies as they were, they were friends. Snape knew that Voldemort would kill Draco if he failed and just as people protect Harry with their lives, so Snape agreed to protect Draco, to take the fall for him because he knew, as Draco's mother did, that Draco could not succeed.

I don't fault Snape for what he did. Draco put him in that spot. Snape would not have killed or harmed Dumbledore if he had not made the vow to protect Draco. And yes, Snape was protecting Harry in the only way he could bare to, by showing him that he wasn't strong enough to face what was coming and to fight harder and become stronger. Harry has to kill Voldemort, but he does not have what it takes yet to perform the Aveda Kedavra.

Snape stopped the other Death Eaters from hurting Harry and knocked out Professor Flitwick most likely to keep him safe from the battle with the Death Eaters. I mean really, what was the point to knock him out when he ran right through the battle in which Flitwick would have been caught up anyway.

Snape did kill Dumbledore and he will have to endure that sin, but I do not believe he's evil or ever was. Voldemort picks the weak and the influental to do his work. Malfoy was not weak, but was influental. Snape was weak as JKR showed us so obviously in book 5. I think Snape overcame his weakness, but not his anger and bitterness. I do not think he has joined the Dark Lord as he was once convinced that he must do to overcome his enemies. I think, just like Dumbledore helped Harry, he also helped Snape.

My thoughts though...

Dumbledore isn't gone. I do remember reading something about a portrait of Dumbledore appearing in the Headmaster's office. Plus, the Sword of Godric Gryffindor is still in Dumbledore's office. If the school closes it would allow someone to sneak in and steal it for Voldy to perform another Horcrux to spare his life.

I think that when Harry finds Snape...he won't kill him. Snape was protecting a student, just as Dumbledore would have protected Harry. Dumbledore wasn't the threat, but leaving him alive would be unspeakable for Draco and Snape. I think Harry will understand that...if Snape can get off his Angry High Horse.

Harry will return to Hogwarts. There is a lot of help still within those walls for him. So the school isn't out of the picture. I think it will be the final battle place for Harry and Voldemort. Dumbledore was very insistant that Tom wanted to stay at Hogwarts. I think that he'll go back there to end things, as that is where they began.

I also think we may find out that Harry is a descendant of Gryffindor...just a far fetched theory, but not all that impossible. What do we really know of James Potter's family history? Nothing, but we know tons about Sirius' family history and Lilly's family history...so I would assume, as in all final chapters...that all things are brought to light and made right again.

Harry is a Horcrux, that is more obvious than anything. As with all spells, where there is a way to make them, there is a way to break them. Harry just has to find that way. And I think he will...or Hermione will.

Maybe Voldemort hasn't realized that Harry is one of his Horcruxes? Or maybe he has...as Harry has come up against Voldemort a few times and now even faced the living, breathing monster himself...and yet Voldemort won't kill him yet. The Death Eaters wouldn't kill Harry at Hogwarts. Snape attacked them when they pulled the crucio on him. He said that the Dark Master wanted Harry for himself.

I think Voldemort knows now for certain if he didn't know before. I mean, how elsecould this kid break into the mind of the most powerful Dark Wizard in the world? How could Harry share so much of Voldemort's powers? And why has Voldemort blocked Harry out of his thoughts? Harry became possessed like the snake when he looked into Dumbledore's eyes in Book 5. He wanted to kill him. Voldemort was channeling through Harry.

More than any of that...what a clever place to put your last piece of soul... in the famous and loved "Boy Who Lived". Who would kill Harry to destroy Voldemort and who, but Dumbledore or Harry himself would ever figure that out and be able to help him? Indeed Harry would be an excellent place to hide a Horcrux. And it was completely possible in that Lilly was a great sacrifice to perform the Horcrux. The same power that saved Harry was also the power that damned him.

OOH! I wanna read the next book! *HURRY JKR!!!*

wow....i just wanna say, great comments!! i'll be opening a snape thread since this thread is not specificallyt about him and there is so much to be said. i agree with so much you said (not the horcrux theory yet) and after the shock has worn of somewhat and thinking and reading about stuff, my views on snape being evil have changed ( i know i already said there is a possibility he is not evil, but i wasn't gonna bet on it. now i think it's very probable that he is not evil) comment in snape thread please :)

Anywayz....Just wondering if anyone noticed this.

Malfoy threatens that dude in Borgan and Burkes with Greyback but when DD asks why Malfoy invited him to Hogwarts at the end he doesn't seem happy about him being there at all and he wont even look at him. Bit weird??

The man (Greyback) eats children for fun...whether he's transformed or not. Somehow...even being on the Dark Side...I wouldn't want that thing near me...or any of my friends.

And sorry my post was so long. It was just mostly speculation for what I guessed from this book. But as far as this book. I really loved it. I cried at the end of book 5 when Harry was raging in Dumbledore's office, but wow man...when Hagrid and Harry walked up to Dumbledore's broken and battered dead body...GUH! *sob* I just couldn't take it! It reminded me too much of when I found my grandpa.

And I really really really loved when Harry and Ginny got together! SQUEEE! I think that they belong together. Ginny has been through a lot that Harry has been through. She understands him and seems to be the only person who can actually calm him down. She's good for Harry and I was sad to see him end things, but he's young...and he doesn't realize that he needs her as much as he will. I think things will warm up back at the wedding...or at least Ginny will put him in his place.

And PLEASE! omg...let Ron and Hermione get along for once and just admit that they love each other! GRRR! When Ron told her that he loved her I was all like...Neaow! *love* IT WILL HAPPEN! YAY!
