This book really touched me.

Summary:
Holland is an average High School kid. She has a boyfriend. Is straight... or at least she thinks she is....
Cece is a fiesty, out and proud, lesbian at her high school. Cece has a haunting past that stops her from getting to close to any girl she likes.
What happens when Holland starts falling for Cece? What happens when Cece feels the same?

Why this book touched me is because ,though I may be 13, I have gone through a mojor event in that book. When I told my mom that I liked guys and girls, she flipped out. She beat me until I bled. I was a complete mess. I tried to say goodbye to my baby sister but my mom flipped out and punched me again. I had 10 minutes to get out of the house. That means packing everything I needed. I took money I had saved up, hopped on my haro, and left.
I wound up spending 3 days under a local bridge until my dad found me. I told him what had happened and he took me in. I went to the hospital first thing the next morning. I had a fractured wrist. A sprained ankle. Pneumonia. And a completely wrecked mind. Since then I have been going to a Lesbigay club/shelter and expressing my feelings. All of the peopl;e that go there are nice, but none can relate to what happened to me. Since that day, I haven't seen or heard from my mom. I see my sister everyday as I drive by the house on my way to school with my dad.
If you can't trust your mother, the one who carried, nurtured, raised, and cared for you, who in this world can you trust?

Omg your mother beat you and kicked you out??? :blink: That's what I'm wondering too... You're supposed to be able to trust your mother..... omg that's so harsh..... Even though I don't know you well and you don't know me well, I'm here for ya if you ever need someone to talk to k??

Hey I totally agree wid Coldfire who r u supposed to confide in if ot ur mom? I mean after these kinda things u just kinda lose hope in life aswell as other things but u gotta be brave and always remember Someone in the world cares for u and loves u more than anything, so don't hurt him/her! And always remember that u can always talk to me or coldfire if u want to and if u have any problem ok!! ^_^
