Melie was lying on her back on the damp grass looking up at the stars. It was near midnight and she was waiting for Dylan to show up. She hoped he had been able to sneak out of the Tower, he had to learn to do it at some point, they all had learned, Melie while living with the prefect. Now Melie was a pro at it, sneaking off with Liam more times than she could count really.
Normally Melie avoided the first years like spattergroit but she had taken a liking to Dylan since she had met him on the train, and the fact that he wasn't a fan of Henry either sweetened the deal for her too.
Melie hadn't exactly figured out what they were going to do, she usually just played things by ear, but chances were, they would get into some sort of trouble or other. The stars were out in full force tonight, twinkling happily and Melie smiled as she saw a shooting star and silently made a wish. After a few moments she pulled out something that Liam had told her about, an iPod, and started to listen to music while she waited. Liam had put all kinds of music on it that he knew that Melie would love and right now she was listening to someone called Rhianna, who really turned out to be one of her favorites, although she didn't beat Leona Lewis. Melie just tapped her foot to the fast music while she placed one arm under her head as a pillow and waited.

Sitting in Gryffindor tower Dylan looked out the window at the courtyard. He knew Melie wanted him to hang out with her tonight which meant sneaking out of the tower undetected. Growing up Dylan remembered having friends which he used to play a game called manhunt with. It involved being very quiet and being able to hide at a moments notice. Dylan was very good at it because he one almost everytime. Dylan grinned as he looked out the window. He turned around a grabbed his sweatshirt off his bed and walked towards his door.

Sneaking Down the staircase was easy. He kept low and tight to the wall as he made his was down. Almost at the bottom he stopped dead in his tracks. He heard a noise from the common room. he stuck his head out and looked around. He saw nothing and moved on.

Dylan Finally made his way to the door leading outside with a quick look over his shoulder he checked for any followers satisfied with his escape he dissapeared into the night.

Nighttime at Hogwarts was beautiful there were no streetlights or billboards that lit up the sky preventing the stars from being seen. There was no sounds of cars, horns, or people. It was peaceful. The stars were at full shine tonight as they lit up the grounds slightly with help from the moon which was partially in shadow. Dylan Walked around to the other side of the tower remembering where Melie said she'd be. Dylan was feeling good, he felt an adeventerous adrenalin taking over him as he stealthfully made his way around the castle.

Melie was getting lost in the music, she completely forgot that Dylan was going to be showing up soon. Instead of keeping an eye out for him, she was singing along with Leona, her favorite song in the world. Most people at Hogwarts didn't know it, but Melie had been singing all her life, she was just too shy to do it in front of people, even Liam had never heard her singing.
Her arm still placed under her head, Melie drummed her free hand against her stomach to the music.
"Something happened for the very first time with you, and everyones looking around thinking i'm going crazy..." Melie lost herself in the lyrics of the song, not even noticing the shadows moving near the castle.

As Dylan walked the field he saw something moving about on the ground. he couldnt identify who or what is was because it was still too dark to see even with the stars and moon shining. Remembering a spell he had practiced from the standard book of spells Dylan swished his wand while saying "Lumos" then with a flick a bright light appeared at the tip of his wand creating sufficient light to identify the person laying down was Melie. Dylan half crouched ran to where she was laying in the grass. He noticed she was wearing her head phones and singing to the music. Dylan though she had a lovley voice and not a bad drummer either. He gave her a litle nudge on her shoulder and waited for her reply

Melie shot up straight when she felt a nudge on her shoulder. She gripped her wand in one hand and pointed it at the person.
"Oh my god Dylan! You scared me!" She said letting out her breath and taking the head phones out of her ears. After standing up and brushing the remnants of dead grass off of her jeans Melie smiled at him. "So I see you got out of the castle alright. I think we'll be able to turn you into a class A Gryffindor without too much work," She said with a small laugh. Melie turned off the iPod, blushing slightly at the fact that Dylan had heard her singing. "So are you ready for your first foray into the Forbidden Forest? At night no less." She gave him a slight smirk, wondering if he'd be up to it. Not many first years were, Gryffindor's or not. Melie tucked her wand into the pocket of her white hoody, and bounced slightly on her toes in anticipation of his answer.

Dylan could see Melie's excitement as she bounced waiting for him to reply. Not being one to dissapoint dylan said in an amused tone. "Of course im ready, I didnt sneak out for nothing." Dylan rolled up his sweatshirt sleeves as he looked around. Dylan wanted to make sure no prefects or professor's were out. Dylan looked back to Melie who was still on tiptoe and said. "Lead the way."

Melie turned and had to stop herself from running towards the forest. For some reason she was extremely excited for the foray into the woods, and she had no clue why, considering the last time she had gone, her and Liam had been kidnapped and almost killed. Melie made sure to walk not to quickly, but she was a little excited and found herself quickly walking a head of Dylan. She stopped for a moment to let him catch up and tried to make a little small talk.
"So do you like here so far?" She asked him, always curious as to what people thought about the current Hogwarts and its students.

As they walked Dylan heard Mel's question and responded. "Hogwarts is pretty cool so far, i liek the people and its nice here." Dylan smiled after he responded and asked melie how she and liam were doing.
Dylan didnt know if it was a touchy subject or not. he waited for a repsonse

Logan had heard that Mel planned to take Dylan out for his first expedition in the Forbidden Forest. It was a favorite location of his now, but he remembered his first time, and how very nerveracking it was. After sneaking out of Ravenclaw, he quietly strolled out through the grounds. As he made his way towards the entrance to the forest, Logan wondered about how Dylan would do. The two of them were getting out of his sight, so he quickly bounded up.

Deciding to play it a little on the mean side, he appeared right behind Mel and Dylan. He clamped a hand down on each of their shoulders, and in the best mock authority voice he could do, he pretended to get angry. "Just what do you think you are doing out at this time of night?" He grinned.

"Me and Liam are good, we just got back from a trip to see his family," Melie told Dylan when he asked about them. She didn't want to bore him with all the details though, not that they were boring to her. Before she had a chance to say anything else though a hand fell on her shoulder and Melie whipped her wand out and poked it into the chest of the person who grabbed her and then gave a grin when she saw it was Logan.
"We could be asking you the same thing," Melie said giving him a small shove. "How'd you get out passed Emma anyways?" Melie asked him, she knew that Logan and the ravenclaw prefect were roommates ever since she had been in their dorm room in the room of requirements. Melie put her wand back in the front pocket of her hoody and headed back towards the woods, calling behind her, "coming boys?"

As Melie & Dylan walked she told him about her and Liam's trip. Before he could say anything a hand fell on his shoulder Dylan ducked turned and reached for something in his back pocket,

He restraiend when he saw it was Logan. In an annoyed tone Dylan said to Logan "Oy What did you do that for mate?" Dylan was surprised by his own accent. "Why did i just say that in an irish tone?"Dylan thought to himself.

Just then Melie caleld out to him and Logan. She was already down the path and heading into the forbidden forest. Dylan Looked to logan and said "race ya?"

"Quick with the wand, Mel." He laughed, pausing only when he heard Dylan speak with an Irish accent. Huh...must've missed that when I was on the train, he decided. "As for getting past Emma, it's a cinch." He pretended to dust off his shoulders. "I just told her that Henry was drunk again, but I'd handle it." Logan smirked. Remembering that one time in the common room, he wasn't at all shocked when Emma let him go.

He turned to Dylan with an amused air and stretched out his arms above his head, then switching to stretch his legs. "If you think you're up to it then, laddie," Logan mocked the boy, only when he heard his challenge in a voice that clearly was not Irish. "Ready on your word." He nodded with a smirk.

Dylan crouched down in a racing style position and called for cassie to start the race. "You ready for this" Dylan said smiling looking up at Logan.
Melie signaled for them to get ready. On her count she flew her hands up in the air and Dylan sprinted towards the woods. "C'mon logan catch up" Dylan called over his shoulder

OOC: Haha, where'd Cassie come from?

BIC: On the signal, Logan took off, watching Dylan sprint far ahead of him. Being far too cocky to let the other boy overtake him, he began to speed himself up and run alongside Dylan. Breathing heavily, the two were neck and neck. Managing what he could, he turned to face Dylan and grinned. "You call this running?" He said between breaths as he kept plunging into the forest.

As they ran Dylan heard logan's comment. "You wanna see running?" Dylan said exhaustedly Dylan began to sprint a few feet ahead of Logan and looked back smiling as he ran further and further from Logan.

Melie didn't bother looking behind her to check on Dylan and Logan to see who was winning. They were just boys being boys and Melie just shook her head and smirked listening to them banter with each other. If she didn't know better, Melie would have thought they were siblings.
"Are you two done yet? The forest awaits!" Melie called over her should as she approached the darkened forest, not even stopping to think twice about this foray.

Now that is some running, Logan thought to himself as he panted keeping up his pace. It had been a while since he had gone running. He vowed to himself that he'd wake up and go running with Emma one morning, but everytime she was up and ready, Logan would roll over, and cover his face with a pillow. He began to slow down, giving Dylan the victory. Grinning and panting, he walked over to where Mel was standing.

"Alright Mel, w-we're rea-ready." He said, slightly hunched over, catching his breath.
