Shonk Da 'Onk - July 9, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
Shonkie is my nickname and is also a German last name that I can't remember the meaning of. You could also associate it with the word shonky if you like. :P
Fred will soon be my new name which means peaceful ruler if you use the whole name Frederick . . . though just using thr first part would mean peace. Hmm not very fitting :P

Well Melinda is a mix of Mel and Linda *dutch, italian, german, french etc lol* (whoever said that scholars had to be bright lol. although they say that mel comes from melanie *english french and dutch* or melissa *greek*) and they mean black, bee and linda means soft, tender and beautiful. I guess they could all actually describe melie some how.
REMY-SALINAS - July 9, 2008 05:50 AM (GMT)
so melie is a soft, beautiful black bee?? ahh i knew she was the sweet, innocent one <_<

Leona is derivative of Leo; Leo a constellation representing the Nemian lion that Hercules killed in one of his 12 tasks. In different cultures the lion represents many things, but for the most part they agree that the constellation is a lion....so kudos for me for knowing all that useless trivia :D

It's actually derived from a last name :) from people who made clothes from the material scarlet. Originally etymology though comes from the persian word saqirlat.
Lethal Ink - July 9, 2008 05:24 PM (GMT)
Septimus = 'seventh son' (Convetionaly, a numerical praenomen was used to distinguish a person from the ancestor for whom they were named.)
Silvianus = Archaic form of Silvio: man from the forest; woodsman
Venitucci = an old family name refering to the Venito region (in northeast Italy)
Hence, Silvianus Venitucci means "man from the forest area of Venito;" and Septimus Silvianus Venitucci means "the seventh Silvianus Venitucci."

Thanks Shonkers. it figures that meaning of Scarlett's name would have something to do with clothes. did it say what saqirlat means?
Sardine - July 9, 2008 06:59 PM (GMT)

katie - July 12, 2008 03:59 AM (GMT)
Katie or kate means pure in some langauge my grandparents would always tell me, but ive forgotten. whoops :(
Shonk Da 'Onk - July 12, 2008 10:35 AM (GMT)
Kate is a diminutive of Katherine which is speculated to be derived from the greek name Aikaterine. It wasn't until later on (early christian era I think) that it became associated with the greek word katharos which is where the 'pure' meaning comes from. If you use the original Aikaterine it can mean a number of things: my consecration of your name, torture, each of the two.

Emma Potter - July 12, 2008 08:36 PM (GMT)
Emma Mia Potter.
Emma= German. Means all-containing or universal. LOL. It can also mean strong.
Mia= Hebrew, Danish or Swedish. Means bitter or uncertain. Can be pet form of Maria.
Potter= English. Means one who made utensils of earthenware or metal.
So Emma is an all-containing maker of earthenware who is uncertain about her job. <_<
Well that's crappy. lol. :P
Logan Devonwood - July 12, 2008 08:58 PM (GMT)
Even crappier than a poet in a small hollow?
N-Tonkz93 - July 18, 2008 03:13 AM (GMT)
my nam can be a boys name or a girs name
REGAN (MALE)
Gender: Male
Origin: Irish
Meaning: Little King
and ill get the female one soon
Emma Potter - July 22, 2008 02:56 PM (GMT)
Ok so I made a mistake and Melie just pointed this out to me. LMAO Mia is the name of her sister on the site and I had debated naming her Emma Mia but changed it to Emma May so Emma's real meaning is.
May is of english origin and means the 5th month or means illusion.
So correction, Emma is an all-containing illusion of someone who makes utensils.
