Anyway. So, Michael Gambon AKA Albus Dumblebore. Who else thinks he can't act? Raise your hand and say "aye". Not only does he look and sound nothing like the original Dumbledore, but he also acts like absolute rubbish, and it's as if he hasn't even picked up a Harry Potter book!

What happened to the Dumbledore that Richard Harris created? That calm, largish (tall with lots of robes), fiendly, twinkly man with the cool purple robes? Oh, right, Michael Gambon came along with his cigaretts (yes, he does actually smoke), scraggly beard, and horribly thin, pallid body with ewy robes.

Why is Michael Gambon playing Dumbledore?!?!?! Oh, right, because director Alfonso whatever his surname is hired him. For what exact reason I have no clue.. maybe it's because neither of them have read the books? Could be.

I believe that if you combined Michael Gambon and Richard Haris you would have the perfect DD. Gambon has his fierceness but Haris always had his charm and humour.

Overall I blame the directors more then Gambon because I have seen him and other things and he is hardly a poor actor.

Perhaps. But instead we're just stuck with Gambon. I don't really blame him for being a poor Dumbledore; I blame the people that think he's a good Dumbledore and hired him!

Overall I no longer care. The day they make an outstanding Harry Potter movie is the day the world ceases to exist. Either that or it will be so far in the future that they will have the ability to practically make the HP world a relaity so people can view it in some way . . . like a virtual reality :lol: I dunno I'm rambling

Wish there really was Quidditch.. that would be so awesome. Blah.

I LOVE Michael Gambon (even though he has admitted that he has never read the book) i think he gets Dumbledore to a T.

sorry but i hate the new DD. He isnt supposed to make you think Harry is about to die because DD is just about to strangle him while asking a question. And dont get me started on that topic cuz I can go on for ages and ages...

He sucks.. big time. What really gets to me is the fact that he thinks that no one will/has notice(d) the difference. I mean, hello! The beard kind of gives it away!

Yeah I hate that! And he talks too loud and too fast and everything about him is stupid and wrong and he should just leave and they should get Ian McKellen in and it would be amazing!

Oh My god I just heard something awful a few days ago. The 6th Harry Potter movie that was supposed to come out this November. Well now it's not coming out until July. How stupid is that? It makes me really mad!

I don't think Gambon is the best Dumbledore. Far from it. But then again, Harris did leave large shoes to fill. And concerning Ian McKellen: Dumbledore is NOT Gandalf!

Well he might have left big shoes to fill... but in an interview Gambon said tha he made DD his own person... someone he wanted to play or somit like that...

Im not sure about the Anthony uy... still doesnt look right... but Ian would be able to play the calmness and humor and seriousness of DD all at once is all i was saying

I don't think that the guy who plays DD is good at all. The first DD was perfect and its a real shame that he passed. This new guy totally took the role of DD and destroyed it. DD always trusts Harry he doesn't try to strangle him like he did in the GoF movie. There was even one scene in the GoF that he wasn't even wearing his half moon spectacles. He doesn't have that DD air to him. Also thier doing a really bad job at establishing the relationship that Harry and Dumbledore had. The part of OoTP when DD explains everything to Harry absolutely sucked in the movie, it was too quick and I hated the way Dan's character reacted. Now with the 6th movie coming out their just going to throw in this DD and Harry relationship I don't think it will be as special. There is juat so much that could have been better.

Ian would've made a MUCH better Dumbledore. The only reason he didn't take the part was because he had Gandalf, and it would've been unfair if he had played Gandalf AND Dumbledore.
But yeah, this new guy is going to ruin HBP completely! I'm re-reading the book, and practically the whole thing consists of Dumbledore.. calm Dumbledore. He's not gonna pull it off.

yeah... Im glad he was Gandlof... but its a shame the 2 movies were shot at the same time... otherwise they could have used him for both... :( Oh well yeah but this DD just sucks... Im not excited for the death scene.. its good that they wont really need him after it... but its not going to be a well acted scene...
