Title: Comfort Zone
Description: A Place to Cry

Jesusfreak4ever - June 7, 2008 07:10 PM (GMT)
Lindsey ran into the ROR, tears streaming down her face. Ever since she had gotten to Hogwarts, she had made herself not cry, but now it all just came pouring out. Some people might think her a baby for crying, but the truth was... she was homesick.

She missed her parents.

She missed her little sister, Maddie.

She even missed her dog, Oscar, who she knew was having a bad day, even though he was hundreds of miles away, because they shared emotions.

Lindsey suddenly clapped her hand over her mouth as she realized she had been shouting about all of this. "Oh gosh," she whispered, just as she realized she'd left the door open,"I hope no one heard that."

She glanced around sadly as a picture of her family appeared on the floor next to her. She picked it up and sat down on the couch with it, gazing at it and feeling terribly lonely and sorry for herself.

Dream had been wandering around in lazy boredom when a first year girl ran past her with tears pouring down her cheeks. Dream watched in surprise as the girl ran into the Room of Requirements. She didn't know why the girl was crying, or how she where the Room of Requirements was so er curiousity got the best of her. Normally she don't have bothered going after a first year who wasn't part of her house but since she'd seen the green and silver emblem on the girl's robes, she knew that she was one of Remy's which allowed her to justify her actions a little bit. Dream took a deep breath and got ready to be mad at herself for getting involved and then she followed the girl into the room. She stood silently as the girl sat down on a couch and began to cry even harder while looking down at a picture in her hands. Dream stepped further into the room, gently clearing her throat to announce her presence. "Hi." she said softly, hoping not to startle Lindsey too much. She had never met her before and she hoped that the introductions would be enough to get Lindsey's mind off whatever was bothering her.

Lindsey looked up, so surprised to see a Gryffindor prefect standing in front of her that she stopped crying. She hurriedly wiped her face with her sleeve and gave a forced smile. "Hey," she replied, not sure of what to say. She knew Dream by sight only and was embarassed to meet her in this state. "Listen," she continued, "I'm usually not like this... I hope you don't judge me by our first meeting. She smiled again, this time for real.

Sabrina had seen Lindsey running when she had been roaming the halls, onm her way back fropm the library. But she had never seen lindsey crying.

With her Nora Roberts book in hand she ran after Lindsey and found hersel;f in the ROR. The first thing she saw wasLindsey crying on the couch.

But then she saw DReam and tried her best to ignore her, hurrying past hwer to get toher slythy sister. This was not a good time for a fight she so said not a word to dream, but she hugged lindsey as she sat on the couch beside her.
"Are you ok lindsey?" she hadn't seen her friend in a while.
"I missed you. where have you been?" she smiled and hugged her friend and took a tissue out from a box on table beside her that showed up.

"here. tissues always help."

Lindsey began to cry again as Sabrina hugged her, even though she was really happy to see one of her closest friends. She had time to wonder why Sabrina appeared not to get along with Dream before replying, "No, I'm actually not okay... I really miss my family, and my dog... Not that I don't love everyone here, but sometimes you just need your family, ya know?"

She sniffed and accepted Sabrina's tissue, saying "Thank you," and returning the hug Brini had given her.

"I missed you too. And I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I was sulking," she said with a weak, forced smile. "I shouldn't have disappeared though.. I'm sorry," she apologized.

Sabrina hugged Lindsey like her mother would have hugged her.

"it's not your fault. i miss my family tons but being an only child isn't fun either." she said and acciod another box just in case.
"If you let yourself be depressed...then there'll be nothing to be happy about.. nothing to live for..." she said. this was advice she should have been giving herself. but she just hugged lindsey and tried not to look at dream.

Lindsey smiled at her friend, already feeling better.

"I know," she said to Sabrina," it just gets a little overwhelming sometimes. Especially since the longest I've been away from the fam is a week... well, five days." Then she suddenly realized some of what Sabrina had said. "Ya know, Sabby, shouldn't you be taking some of your own advice here?"

dreamdancer7699 - June 8, 2008 08:36 PM (GMT)
Dream smiled at the girl was about to introduce herself when Sabrina walked into the room. Dream tried unsuccessfully to keep the look of disgust off her face. Once upon a time she had considered Sabrina to be a good friend of hers, but then Sabrina had developed a crush on Dream's husband and proceeded to follow him everywhere like a lost puppy, causing nothing but problems in her wake. Dream had finally gotten sick of it and had broken off their friendship. She looked at Lindsey and gave her a friendly smile. "Lindsey, huh? Well it's nice to meet you Lindsey. My name is Dream and I hope to have the chance to get to know you soon. Now that you wont be alone, I'm going to back to wandering the halls in boredom. I hope you feel better." she said. Then without looking at the other person in the room, she started walking to the door.

"Hey dream!' she said, seizing the opportunity. She didi feel kinda bad about what had happenedlately. She ot up and walked over to DReam and held out a hand, as if making a deal.

"You wanna go get a butterbeer later?" she asked, smiling sioncerely.
"I know we've had some misunderstandings...and i'm sorry. do you want to hand out at the hogs head...? and have a butterneer?" she asked again.

She kept her hand out,. ready to let her shake it if nesseccary.

Jesusfreak4ever - June 9, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
"Thanks, Dream!" Lindsey called as she walked back outside. She watched as Sabrina tried to make up for their "misunderstanding," and finally asked the room to conjure up a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream and two bowls and spoons. She levitated one over to Sabrina, and asked,"Hey Sab, you want some? The two depressees can binge on ice cream together." She gave a small laugh for the first time that day.

Sabrina turned to see Ice dream, her favoruite it just so happened to be.

She smiled and tok it in one hand, but still held out the other to dream.
"thanks lindsey, but i can't eat too much or thwe caolries will mess me up..." she smiled that motherly smile of hers and looked at dream once more.

"so, what do you say?"
