Leo walked down the terminal of the Burbank airport, having just spent several grueling hours on a plane heading from Scotland all the way to California. She was feeling really homesick for the place, and she just had a feeling that she needed to visit the Universal backlots. she invited Chase along because she could remember him commenting that he'd never been. She looked over to him as he followed her off the plane. "how'd you enjoy the flight?" She asked.

Chase looked over at Leona with a slightly sceptical look. "Honestly?" He said putting on a smirk. "I prefer portkeys." He shook his head slightly and looked at all the people. "And that's saying a lot since I don't much fancy them either." Chase looked back over at Leo and moved his hands in a 'lead the way' sort of fashion. "After you m'dear..." He said with a smirk.

Leona laughed at Chase and his displeasure, "well try to play it cool, we don't need the whole world knowing about port keys," Leo said as she walked out of the terminal and down a set of escalators that led to baggage claim. "You wanna head over to the park immediately or do you want to head to the hotel?" Leo asked glad she remembered to book two rooms before they left.

Chase laughed as well. "To be completely honest it wouldn't have been so bad if not for the heights." He said with a smile. A near by muggle spoke to him and made Chase wish he had shut up already.

"The heights aren't so bad as the possibility of the plane crashing." He was a larger man and Chase immediately looked back towards Leo.

"You just took me on an object that flies high in the sky AND has a high possibility of crashing?" He was a bit shocked at this, hoping it wasn't true. Chase shrugged at he question.

Leona looked over at Chase and laughed as she grabbed the first bag. "You have a higher chance of dying in a car crash than an airplane," Leo said in a comforting tone, shooting the large man a dirty look. "But you didn't answer my question, to the studios or the hotel?"

Chase, letting out a breath, smiled slightly. "Well, I suppose we should put our stuff away first." He said grabbing his own bags in one hand, he had made them light with the use of magic just a moment before. Chase was good at doing Magic around muggles, even if he wasn't supposed to. It had been that way all his life. "But we can go straight if you like." He said with a simple nod.

"Why don't we check in at the hotel, and take the taxi to the City Walk," Leo said noting the time, it was rather late and it wasn't so much worth it to go at the end of the day. The city walk in fact was like a large outside shopping mall. There was also excellent places to eat. "Sound good to you, hit the park tomorrow?" Leo asked looking at him trying to hide the excitement in her eyes.

Chase listened to her words and nodded. "Sure, sound good to me." He said with a grin. Chase had his hand in his pocket and his wand in the same pocket, he was twisting it. Normally he would twirl it between his fingers, but people would think he was odd. Chase shrugged, not knowing if Leo could tell he was thinking about his wand at the moment.

"Okay," Leo said walking away from the terminal and walked outside and hailed a taxi. She looked back over to Chase who seemed to be rather uncomfortable in a muggle setting. It was hard to find friends that were as comfortable with muggles as she was. "You'll be excited to know that we're staying at the Hilton," Leo added to chase from the car waiting for him to get it.

Chase was usually more comfortable around muggles than around witches and wizards to tell the truth, he just didn't like it much in the space they had been in. Noticably, he loosened up when he stepped outside. Chase smiled as she said he would be happy about the Hilton. "If that was about the riches my family has bestowed upon me then I should tell you that I'm usually not a fan of it." He said. "If it's about the place being nice then I should smile and walk on." Chase got in after Leo and closed the door.

"That's exactly what I mean, it's a lovely hotel," Leo said with a yawn. "It's a bit of a drive, to Hollywood from Burbank, so get comfy" Leo said resting her head against the glass window and directed the driver to where she wanted to go. She looked out at the airport and gave a tired smile, the jet lag catching up to her.

Chase looked back at the airport with a slight loathing in his eyes. He wasn't sure what it was about that place, but he really wasn't all that fancied by it. He looked over at the half asleep Leo and smiled slightly. Yawning slightly he put his head back on the seat and watched things fly past out the window. Chase wished that he was in the limo, that was the only thing he liked... The comfort of it.

After roughly forty minutes of arriving, Leo spotted a sign that led to the exit to Hollywood. all around her were green palm trees, making the place seem very plush and fertile. Another ten minutes after that the Taxi arrived at the Hilton and a bell hop eagerly took the baggage from them and Leo went into the lobby to check in.

Chase stepped out of the taxi and took in fresh air. Well, as fresh as it could be in Hollywood. Shaking his head a bit he watched the bags get taken, thankfully he had already made them the right weight. It would raise a question or two if the bags were lighter than feathers. Even if the questions weren't asked. Chase looked around for a moment and went over to Leo. "Lots of ladies..." He said to her. "I wonder if any would like to see some magic tricks." Chase winked and smiled back at a girl who smiled at him.

"Not from you McNugget," Leo said with a laugh after getting the keys to the rooms. "One's for me," she said pocketing it. "And this one's for you," she said shoving the key into he hands and stared at him, getting slightly annoyed with him staring the girl. "Oy!" she said waving her hand in his face.

Chase looked away from the girl when she frowned at him and looked back at Leo, giving her the same smile. "Thanks." He said clasping his hand around the room key and turning slightly. "Hey, what's wrong Leo?" He asked, knowing full well. Or - at least - thinking he did.

"Nothing, it's just that our rooms are right next to each other, and I don't really appreciate the notions of you bringing girls into your room while I try to sleep, give me nightmares it will," Leo said walking up to the elevator and climbed in waitng for Chase to do the same.

Chase frowned slightly and followed, only replying after he was in and the door had shut. "And we wouldn't want to give poor Leona nightmares..." He said, almost sarcastically, trying not to and failing. "Either way, I don't do that." He said simply, leaning against the wall of the elevator and watching the numbers change.

"Yup," Leo said stiffly and waited for them to hit their floor. When they did Leo stepped out and walked to her door. "I'm going to change clothes real quick. I'll meet you in the hall when I'm ready to go. City Walk gets chilly at night, so you may want to bring a jacket," Leo noted before going into her room and shutting the door.

Chase stepped out as well. He heard Leona note about a jacket and looked at the jacket he was already wearing. He usually had on a jacket, unless he was wearing school robes. Chase ignored it and went into the room. He didn't really look at anything, merely walked straight to the bed and fell on it. After a minute or two, he heard Leo's door close and went back out.

Leo walked out of her room wearing a white a-line skirt, a tan tank top and a short blue jean jacket. she was wearing a pair of suede shoes to go along with her shirt. Her hair was half pulled up. She credited magic as for her explanation as to why she was ready so quickly. "Chase, I'm ready," she said knocking on his door.

He had opened said door as soon as her hand met it and laughed slightly as she almost knocked on him instead of the door. Chase looked her over quickly and almost unnoticably. "You look good." He said with a smile before stepping out. Chase thought for a moment that he had left the key in the room, but wasn't to worried about that. What else was magic for? He didn't mention it.

"Don't forget your key, because I'll be darned if you're staying in my room tonight," Leo said with a slight chuckle being able to read his expression all too easily. With out waiting for him to go back and get it, she summoned it with out her wand. A skill that she'd been working on for sometime along side some of her older friends. She held his key card in her fingers and held it out for him to take.

Chase gave her a smirk when she out-thunk him and sighed, taking the card with a snatch. "Damn. You figured out my plan..." Chase rubbed his hands together like in old fashion movies. At least the ones he had seen - the evil villains always seemed to do that when they spoke of their plan.

"Yeah I don't think so champ," Leo said walking back to the elevator and let it close with out him getting into it. A few minutes later she appeared back in the lobby and laughed wondering if chase knew how to use the elevators. She pushed a lot of the buttons to keep it busy, so he'd have an issue getting back down.

Chase had a feeling that she was going to do something to the damn elevator so he took to the stairs. He found himself at the bottom to see Leona jabbing at buttons and looked at her with a smirk. "Do you honestly think I'm that stupid?" He asked, laughing slightly and leaning against the wall.

"Do you want an honest question to that?" Leo added, giving up on the buttons and head for the taxi again. "Universal City Walk please," Leo said politely to the driver getting excited to do some shopping. Wondering if Chase would rather go to the Hard Rock Cafe or have sushi for dinner.

"No. On second thought I'd rather stay in the dark..." He said with a grin. Chase got in after her. As he had a few times already. "Yes!" He said with a laugh. "Shopping!" It obviously had a tinge of sarcasm laced in it, but the driver still looked at him oddly. "Keep driving buckko or I'll pay some old fat man and his dauhter and her son to sit back here next. I'm sure you'd love that!" He said, glaring slightly at the driver who looked forward again and didn't look back. Chase looked at Leo. "Hey, I had to try the Summerview Charm sometime..."

Leona looked over at him and stepped on his foot. "Careful you, he'll lead us in the scenic route and we'll owe him more money." she said. In another fifteen minutes they ended up at the entrance to the city walk. It was night time now, but there was so many lights, it was lit up well enough. she walked out of the cab and paid him his dues. so what do you want to do first?" Leo asked looking down the street, there was infinite possibilities.

"Ouch!" He said looking at her. "Well then we'll give him a memory change won't we?" He said in a whisper with a smirk. "I'm good at those."
Chase also looked up and down the street, but shrugged in the end. "You lead, I'll follow." He said, putting on another smile.

"Alrighty," Leo said looking around. She led them passed a few stores and stopped to go into the Dark Horse store to pick up some of her 'geek' stuff. Mostly comics and action figures. "You'll like this place Chase," she said in a more of 'or else' attitude than she was confident of the stores awesomeness.

Chase followed in without word and looked around as all the 'geek stuff'. One thing in particular caught his eye and he smirked at it. "Superman comics." He said, pointing at one. "My mother has - er, had - every single one of these." He said, confidently adding, "And now they're mine! You can't have them." He said with a glare at some people around the store. They didn't seem to notice. Just as well, because he didn't really mean it. Nobody could have them, but he wasn't really glaring at anyone. Just for show.

Leo laughed as she watched Chase's enthusiasm. She walked over to where they kept the Buffy and Angel action figures and picked out some. She got an Angel and Buffy action figure for Dream and she picked out a Spike action figure for Crys. She waltzed over to where they kept the posters and rummaged through them looking over all the Star Wars posters.

Chase, mimicking her laugh, shook his head and walked up behind her. "Star Wars?" He said in suggestion, knowing that it was probably that that she was in search of. Chase pointed at one and smiled. "I'm not blind." He said. He wasn't saying she was, he wasn't even really talking about the posters... Chase started to look around again and waited until she was done.

"good for you chase I knew that if you tried hard you'd get your vision back," Leo said sarcastically because she had no idea what he was talking about. When she picked out the poster she wanted and took it to the counter and paid for them. she took one last look at the store then headed back out into the streets. "So you up for some driving?" Leo asked with a big impish grin.

Chase laughed slightly. "I know, it was a long and stressful journey, but in the end it seems I've gotten it back!" He said. Chase looked at Leo and her grin as she asked her question, feeling the need to smile back. "Yeah sure..." He said through a small laugh that was hiding itself just for that moment. Or so it seemed. Chase looked around for a moment. "Driving sounds good."

Leo led Chase further down the walk to a large building with a scaled down NASCAR vehicle hanging upside down on it. Looking as if it was getting ready to speed into the street. "she opened the door and led him in. The store was lit up showing off all the NASCAR merchandise. She walked up to a man behind the counter and paid for something. "You stop ogling and hurry up."

Chase was busy looking at the car hanging that he hadn't completely noticed that Leona went in. When he realized he darted in after her and looked around. He knew what this was, and... He wasn't to sure how thrilled he was, but hey; it would be fun... Even if he wasn't thrilled.

Leona walked into the tiny room where they explained the rules and how tos of the Silicon Raceway. When the two minute training video was over she raced over to Juniors number 8 car and hopped in waiting for the race to start. She hadn't played this in years, but it was exactly like driving a real car.

Chase saw Leona race to a car and then watched as everyone else did the same. It seemed that nobody wanted to sit by the pink-haired Gryffindor so he did. Not that he wouldn't have either way. Chase took a breath and looked over at her for a moment. "You're gonna rub it in my face when you beat me aren't you?"
