Title: Visiting an old friend
Description: actually make that two of them

DRAKE - May 19, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
Drake walked up the stairs to the owlery. By the time he got to the top couple stairs he could hear hooting and the fluttering of wings. He pushed the door open at the top. One whistle come out of his mouth. At least it looked like it had but no sound actually come out, or none that a human could hear. A small snowy owl with bright blue eyes flew down from the rafters and landed on his shoulder. "Hey Dragon. Did you miss me? I bet you did. I brought a snack." Drake opened up a bag he had taken out of his pocket. Then he gave the apple slice to Dragon how ate it eagerly.

Cara hadn't bothered checking to see who came into the owlery, since many people did, but shecouldn't help but look up when she heard the whistle. Her heart jumped into her throat when she saw Drake, and she jumped down from the perch onto the floor. Cara walked over to him and watched him give Dragon an apple slice, then turned herself back into a human. She really liked being an owl, so she spent alot of her time in the owlery as one. The only problem was when people would try to tie letters to her legs. That really bugged her, and most of the time would end with her hitting them in the head with her wing, then flying off. "Hiya Drake," she said, drawing herself up to her full height, unable to keep herself from smiling at him. She was wearing a Short, black skirt and dark green tank top, with her hair held back by a headband. Her wand was tucked into her belt, like it usually was.

DRAKE - May 25, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
Drake took another slice out of the bag and ate it himself and then gave another one to Dragon who was eager for more. Drake sat on a bale of hay that was full of owl feathers. He could see out of the corner of his eyes a snowy owl in font of him and smiled. Without looking up he said, "Well, hello, Cara. Didn't expect to see you here." When he did decide to look up there was no longer an owl in front of him but a girl. Cara, a slytherin fourth year, to be exact. "You look great as usual." Drake looked at her clothes and then looked down to his jeans and pink polo. Dragon pecked Drake on the shoulder and then he gave her another slice which she ate with great enthusiasm. He scooted over to allow Cara to sit next to him. "I was just thinking about the first time we had met up here. Do you remember that?" And then with a little bitterness he asked, "Or is that not something you have bothered to remember?"

OOC: Sorry this took so long my internet crashed. btw i went back and read all those posts in the owlery, man did we suck at posting then lmao.

(OoC: I Don't think you sucked, but I sure did. :P Speaking of bad posts, this one is pretty bad.)

BiC: Cara blushed a bit when Drake complimented her. She could say the same for him, though she didn't say it out loud. She sat down beside him. "I was just thinking about the first time we had met up here. Do you remember that?" Drake asked her, and she almost laughed, remembering how much trouble she was having in her owl form. It had been the day she found out about her animagus form, and she had just been trying out her new legs, by walking around Drake in circles, until she fell over and he had to help her back up. "Or is that not something you have bothered to remember?" Drake added, causing Cara to narrow her eyes, then sigh sadly, embarassed. She hadn't forgotten about it, no, she couldn't no matter how much she tried. "No, I haven't forgotten." SHe said simply, looking down at her lap. After a moment she looked back up at Drake. "You know..." She was cut short by her owl landing on her shoulder with a letter in it's beak. Cara took it, glanced at the name on the envelope, then folded it up and placed it on the bench beside her. She figured the letter could wait. Right now their conversation was more important.

DRAKE - June 10, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
OoC: You've never sucked at posting! ^_^ This post is worse

BiC: Drake was careful to look straight at Cara while she listen to what he had said. Then she sat down next to him and suddenly Drake was very self concious. Being to close to her in the owlery is what got them in the mess last time. "No I haven't forgotten." She said to him simply. Drake didn't want to hear it, so he turned around and faced the other way. He realized she had begun to speak again but then stopped. He turned around to see what made her silent. Her snowy owl had landed on her shoulder and given her a letter. When she set it aside he asked, "Don't you want to read that?" Dragon was now sleepy from her snack and at the sight of the other owl she flew off in search of a spot to nap. "Why did you leave?" It was the question that had been driving him crazy and before he could stop himself he had asked it.

OoC: No it isn't! It's fine!

BiC: Cara shook her head. "This letter can wait. It'll just end up annoying me if I do read it now anyways." She was speaking truthfully. Well, it wasn't the whole turth, but what she had said was true. She looked over her shoulder and made a couple clicking noises, that didn't sound human. Her owl's head bobbed up and down a couple times, before he jumped up into the air and flew out the window again. She was an owl animagus, so she could, even in human form, speak his language. She had sent him to deliver a message to Saint Mungos, requesting an emergency meeting the next day.

That was another thing she liked about being an animagus, being able to send messages without writing letters. It really helpded alot, especially in the way of privacy. Cara barely heard what Drake had said because she had been distracted, but as soon as his words clicked in her head, she turned extremely awkward and uncomfortable. She couldn't possibly tell him why she had left, but she couldn't lie to him either. Cara was torn between what to do, and she put off answering for as long as possible. In truth, it has to do with death, and murder, and turturing, and magical binds, and incredibly evil powerful people, but she didn't want to trouble him with the fact that she had come so close to death many times. She decided she had to be at least partially honest wth him.

"I... I didn't want to have any ties with you, or anyone else I loved, because I kept coming too close to death, and I didn't want to hurt anyone by it." It was only half the truth, and she soon found herself unable to keep herself from telling him the other half of the reason. "Also... there was a high chance of me never coming back to the school, so I couldn't bear the thought of me never being able to see you again. So I had to leave... I had to." SHe was mostly trying to convince herself, but she hadn't meant to say the last part out loud.

DRAKE - June 12, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
Drake nodded, even though he still didn't get why she wouldn't open the letter. When he got letters he couldn't wait to open them. He would tare the envelope open in excitment even if he knew it carried bad news. When Cara started making odd clicking noises he knew she was talking in owl. Even though he knew this it still felt odd to sit there and listen to he hoot and click. Suddenly he wished he knew what she was saying. When the owl flew out of the window Drake realized she had been telling him a message.

Looking and hearing he in her animagus form made Drake wish he was and animagus too. It took a while for Cara to answer his question. Drake wrung his hands with impatience but he figured he waited three years or so for the answer he could wait a couple more minutes. It had been torturing him ever since she left. He knew it had to be an extremely good reason or she wouldn't have done so. At least not with out telling him. He really hoped she would be honest with him. 'Although,' he thought to himself, 'Cara does have a tendecy to bend the truth a bit.'

Once she had began her answer Drake devoted all his attention to her. He stared straight into her eyes while she explained about not wanting any ties with him and her close escapes from death. When she was done Drake closed his eyes for a couple seconds then nodded once. He then opened his eyes and leaned in and kissed Cara on the lips.

OoC: My avatar was inspired by this thread. ^_^

Cara never had been one to open her letters, especially if she already knew what it said. Just by the name on the envelope she coud tell. The name on the envelope was Terance Matsu, a doctor at Saint Mungos. This particular letter bore news of the death of a patient she was working on, and that she was to go down at the nearest possible date to take care of the body, as well as console the patient's family. Not nessecarily something she wanted to do right away. It would have to wait until the next day, wether they liked it or not.

Cara's explanation had sounded stupid, yes, but it was the truth. Most of her trouble had been caused by her father. Her real father, the one who had given her to dementors at age 6. The father who had forced her brother to murder and torture, until he couldn't take it any longer. Part of the reason she had killed him was because of this, because she couldn't take all he was putting her and her brother through. Unfortunately, her brother had also died in the struggle. She was glad at least that she had made the extra effort to prove she loved him. He died barely a minute after she had done this, and Cara fled in a state of dispair. As glad as she was that it was over, she sometimes wished she could have saved him somehow.

But now, the only thing she had managed to do, was seperate her blood from her brother's, taking Nakutro's in his place. She often felt bad about doing that, but it was nessecary to keep herself safe from her father's followers, who were to this day, after her. Drake closed his eyes, and Cara looked away, wondering how he would take what she had just said. When he nodded, Cara let out the breath she hadn't known she was holding. Drake leaned in and kissedher, and Cara's eyes widened in a breif second of shock, but she recovered and kissed him back before he could pull away. She was reminded of their first kiss, on the floor of her closet after being stuck in a box for a while.

Cara didn't know what to say, or even think, now, but she knew her cheeks were red again.

OoC: awesome. I liked the banner so I put it in my sig :P

BiC: Drake really had hoped she wouldn't pull away. He thought that she misht but when she kissed him back he wasn't at all suprised. Instantly it brought back painful memories of being trapped in a big box in a closet. He had went to Cara's dorm for a visit and when she went into the closet he had followed. Then they both tumbled into a big box which they tried to get out of but was stuck in for half an hour or more. Then when they had finally gotten out they had flirted a bit and then kissed. It had been there first kiss and deffently the best of all Drake's had.

When they pulled away both their cheeks were red. He looked into her eyes with great passion and yet with great humor and said, "Cara I Love you and I could never bare to lose you, so next time you go abroad take me with you." He was now smiling. She really did mean the world to him. He hoped she knew that.

Cara didn't want to think about that incident, so she pushed it from her mind as best she could. It wasn't an easy task, so instead she focused all her attention on Drake, on the present. It would have been funny, had things not gone so wrong. Wrong being Cara leaving the school, particularly, not telling anyone where she had gone, or even that she had left at all. She just seemed to vanish one day. She regretted it more than anything, but there were things that needed attending.

"Cara I Love you and I could never bare to lose you, so next time you go abroad take me with you."

Cara only felt herself grow more red as he said those words, but then she found she wsa smiling back at him. She couldn't help it, couldn't have stopped if she wanted to. She was unsure of how to reply to him for a moment, but she did eventually. "I love you too, Drake. I don't like it, but I will make sure to bring you with me next time, if there is a next time." She meant that she didn't like the idea of putting him in danger. It was true, but she didn't like putting anyone in danger, but if he insisted, she wasn't going to try to stop him. It wasn't her place to do that. Besides, in a way she wanted him to be there with her.

DRAKE - July 30, 2008 08:02 PM (GMT)
Drake watched as Cara too began to smile. He was over joyed when she responded with. "I love you too, Drake. I don't like it, but I will make sure to bring you with me next time, if there is a next time." He knew she loved him but hearing from he ment a lot to him. "Yes, well lets hope there won't be a next time." He wsn't real sure what she ment by 'I don't like it'. Knowing her it probaby just ment that she thought it would be to dangerous and she wouldn't want to bring him into it. He completely understood that but it there was danger he would want to be there anyways to be with her.

Drake leaned over and kissed her once more. "What now?" It wasn't really a question but it did need to be answered.
