Cha-Su looked at the watch around his wrist as it hit midnight and he shoved himself out of his room. A room of Impending Pillows and big screen televisions. Not bothering to lock the door because, well it was Hogwarts, Chase tip-toed through the common room and out into the corridors. Cha-Su transformed into his puppy dog form after a few minutes of trials. It was harder to get caught this way, but he highly doubted that he would get in trouble if he was caught. The Princess was high ranking after all. He would have waited, but he wasn't sure if the Princess was faster than him or not, so he continued on. Moving through the castle, in lab form still, he found himself going out the doors of the castle a few minutes earlier than expected and down to the lake quicker than he needed. He shook himself back into human form and looked around. It didn't seem as though the Princess was there yet. So he sat down, his feet in the forbidden water, and waited.

Leona was bored all day. In fact she had been gripping to all her friends about this atrocity, sadly they couldn't accommodate her. In a heavy sigh she crossed down to the lake where she found her Padawan learner sitting at the lake's edge. "Hiya!" She said pushing on him like she was going to dump him in the lake, but in the last moment she pulled back catching him. "First rule, never let your guard down," she said in an evil laugh.

Chase felt her push on his back and grabbed her hands quickly. She pulled him back and he didn't let go. "Let my guard down? A Summerview never lets his guard down!" He smirked up at her before pulling her down to sit beside him. "But I have the nose of a dog." He said showing her the puppy nose that hadn't quite gone away after his transformation. Crinkling the nose a few times it went away and he shrugged. "Hey, I'm not as good as Master Princess!" He said, sticking his tounge out at her.

Leo growled a bit as she was forced down next to him. "Yeah, and no man handling the master either, or you're going to end up as food for the squid." Leo didn't laugh to preserve her straight face, allowing him to sweat it out to discover if she was joking or not. "So how's life?" She finally asked him.

"Yes Master Leo." He said, squishing the urge to smile at it's start. "But I do feel inclined to point out to you that I fearn't the squid as much as I do the mer-people." He nodded slightly. "Actually, I fearn't the squid at all." Cha-Su raised his eyebrows sharply for a moment and then gave a shrug. "Life? Uninteresting." He looked at the water for a moment. "And your's?"

"Equally so, and I can change that," she said with a melodious dark laugh. "So have you opened my present yet, the one I gave you at your birthday party?" She asked eager to test it out. A good 'ole night fight with a tequila top off seemed to be in order here. Leona sat back and looked up at the stars that were half covered by the clouds and most of them weren't visible because of the moon. "Rats," she said,

Chase shrugged. "You do that." He said in a testy tone. Hearing the question about the birthday present he smirked and took a very small stick-looking thing out of his pocket. Enlarging it quickly he threw it up in the air and caught it again. "I have to compliment you on your style." He said with a slight laugh.

"Well duh, you can never go wrong with a light saber!" She said pulling out her own. She stood up and swished it on. It made a cool light saber effect and glowed. "I've also magicked them so they can't break as easily. Which means you can really deliver a good wompin' on someone," she said with a sneaky smile.

Chase didn't stand when she did. "Of coarse. There's no going wrong with one." He said in a half mindless repetitive way. Chase looked up at Leo and shrugged before hitting her in the knees with it. "You're right." He said with a nod. "These've been magiked well."

"Ow!" Leo growled but couldn't repress a smile. She smacked him on his head with her own light saber, than jumped over him landing in the lake. Her lightsaber glowed, poised in a defense position and waited for Chase to try and strike again., not thinking about how the lightsabers would fair in water.

Chase couldn't help but let out his slightly muffled laugh. "I'm not allowed in the water." He said simply. "Plus, I thought cats didn't like water." Chase raised his left eyebrow and stood up. His light saber was behind his back and he tapped it with his wand before bringing it back in front of him. "Ready then?" He asked with a grin.

"No wait, I'm curious? Why aren't you allowed in the water?" Leo asked but didn't let her guard down. She really wanted to know, but knew from experience never to trust anyone. "And if you must know, I've worked really hard to eliminate my fear of water," she said with a huff and an upward thrust of her nose.

Chase smiled. "Cassie and I have done a bit of Mermaid pissing off and we've been banned from the water." He said, starting to elaborate. "You see, we broke our way into their underwater kingdom and stole a very important item." He shrugged and held his saber a bit tighter. Suddenly, it turned to ashes and came up behind Leo, hitting her in the back of the head. "Never said there were rules!" He said, sticking out his tounge at her a second time.

Leona blinked when he turned into ashes after his story, but after spending years dealing with similar tricksters, she wheeled around and blocked his blow with her lightsaber, and the resulting concussion made it sound as if he made contact with her head. She let out a smile. "I know you didn't." She said confidentially. "However I can't help but notice you're in the water with me," she said and after moments of pushing forward, she suddenly lost her grip on the ground and slipped into the lake. "what the hell!" She growled spitting up water.

"Did I say I wasn't going to go in?" He asked with a smirkish grin. "Master Princess should know me a bit better. I barely even listen to you!" Chase laughed slightly. "Ask her." He said with a nod. "We likes to steal things." This, was a lie. They had stolen something from the mer-people, but that was about it... At least that was about it that he had stolen. Who knows about her. "Sounds like you're still not a big fan of the water though, are you kitty?"

Leo growled, and shot up like a rocket when she saw something shimmer in the water. Leo followed it with her eyes, hoping it was only a fish. When she saw hair begin to break the surface she let out a cry. She was really uncomfortable dealing with the merpeople.

The mermaid in question glided around Chase a few times and stood up to face him, balancing on her tail. She tried to talk to him, but all her vocalizations came out in screeches, however her intentions were clear when she produced an odd looking sword that she poised at his neck.

Chase pulled his head back a bit. "Oh, come off it!" He said with a slight breath. He heard Leo's yeep and shrugged in an 'I told you so' way. "Attack me if I go under the water. He raised his wand in the same threatening fashion. "Plus, I wouldn't steal anything else without my partner. It should be clear by the hair if nothing else that this is not her." He made the trident, because that's what it was, move away from his neck. "Go away!" He said with a glare. He wasn't scared of them, not really. They were more of a threat under the water than over top of it.

Leona began stamping her feet underwater trying to call Squiddy up for back up as she saw the mermaid accost Chase. For the moment it appeared as if he could handle him self so she focused on getting some help. She didn't notice the mermaid summoning a giant wave of water to engulf them, and drag them deep into the lake - which is exactly what happened.

"Oh jeez!" Chase closed his eyes when the water came crashing down. Damn mer-people. They were horrible! Feeling the water pull him under, he blinked open his eyes, ignoring the water that was getting into them. Where the hell did the Princess go?

Leona, not so much afraid of water anymore, but still not that great of a swimmer, struggled to find the surface. When the water came crashing down on them, the equivalent force was like hitting the pavement from a five story window, and after that dizzying charge she was having issue discovering which way was up. When she finally did, she let out a huge gasp as she broke the surface.

Chase found his way up after a second and laughed slightly. "See... Told you I wasn't supposed to be in the water." He sent her a Cassie smirk before pushing some water off his face and shaking it out of his hair. "Hey... You lose yours?" He asked about her Light Saber.

"No, it's right here," Leo said sputtering out the water and heading for more shallower grounds before getting out of the lake completely. She sat down on the grass and looked up at the sky again, starting to get a head ache from having water pounded on her in massive quantities.

Chase, still having a grip on his own as well, smiled and -after a moment- followed her to shore. Shaking some more water out of his hair, he poked her with his light saber. "Gotcha Princess." He said with a grin. Chase shrunk it again before sticking it away in his pocket and shrugged. "Whatchu lookin' at?" He asked, looking up as well, but not laying on his back.

"Just lookin' at the stars, I reckon," Leo mused to her self for the most part. "I so rarely get to look at them any more. They're like my old friends...We'll they are my friends. They were my friend's before I had friends," Leo said talking quickly all of a sudden. "Sometimes when I was younger I used to feel that I didn't belong at here, not just the castle, but Earth as a whole," she said softly thinking about it. "Not much has changed I guess,"

Chase's eyes left the sky and he looked at Leo. "I think everyone feels that way." He said lightly, his eyes drifting back up slowly. "I know I do... I reckon it's... Normal." Chase shrugged more at himself. "Things never change really. Well, depending how you look at it, in what situation." Smiling slightly to himself he shrugged again. "I guess thats, life."

"No, I think things are always changing. Try as we might to stop them. Especially in the last month or so...So much stuff..." Leo said sighing, then giggled at her self for her seemingly fake introspection at life. "Man was there drugs in the water, because I'm begging to feel like a 60s Ringo Star," Leo laughed a bit then saw a shooting star. "Ooo! Mine! I claim it!"

Chase laughed a bit when Leo suggested the lake was drugged. "Maybe it's not the water..." He said, another shrug making it's way on his shoulders that were just meeting the ground. He wasn't quite sure what it could be if not the water, but it was possible that it was something else... Right?

"What do you mean?" Leo said conjuring up a blanket. She stood up and laid down on it, getting comfortable. She created another one and draped it over herself for warmth. She watched the edge of the lake ebb and flow then moved her head skywards to stare at the stars once more.

Chase made to shrug but stopped himself because... Well, he didn't know why. Possibly his positioning, possibly some unknown force. Or maybe something explainable... "Maybe it's the company..." He suggested. He saw her conjure up some blankets for herself and smiled slightly, putting his hands behind his head and leaning back once more.

"Nah, I don't think so," Leo said with a smirk. She listened to some howling in the distance, it was a oddly comforting and she was mildly tempted to howl back, but she didn't instead she looked over at Chase. "Why don't you start a fire, and I'll run to my secret hiding spot and get some marshmallows?" She asked him. With out waiting for a response she shot up from her blankets and ran to the other side of the lake and rushed into the woods heading towards her cave.

"Oh ha ha!" Chase shook his head slightly. Then, before he even realized it, she was up and gone. Sitting up and laughing a bit he went ahead and did what she suggested. Made a fire. Now, normally he would do this in a way as magical as possible, but this time he didn't do more than use the tip of his wand as a lighter.

Leo returned carrying a giant bag of marshmallows, a bowl of popcorn, pillows and all other sorts of goodies. She also located her best friend in the universe and dragged her along. "Come one you," she said to her. "We're burning things," she said in a happy smile.

Crys HAD been hanging out with herself, enjoying her own company-for once-when Leo snagged her. Crys smirks as she hears the words 'we're' and 'burning things'. She decides to go along for the heck of it.
"Okay, but remember the last time we burned things?....Will there be giant marshmallows?"

Chase heard a warning of 'Remember what happened last time...' and grinned slightly. "What DID happen the last time you burnt things?" He asked. Curiosity, it didn't kill puppies. Chase pointed at a fire that was burning and smiled again. "On second thought... I don't wanna know..." He said a bit lighter than before.

"Oh a certain rogue ants met their maker, nothing that not acceptable in games of war," Leo said with a matter of fact voice as she set down her stuffs, which included three muggle tents. "If we get too lazy to go back to the castle, we can just camp here," Leo explained then set them up via magic.

"You lie like a dirty old rug!" Crys said with a laugh as her friend denied the incident. "EINSTEIN over here-" she jerked her thumb at Leona. "decided that to make things "fun" she was going to gigantisize an ant and then poke it with a stick!"

Chase nodded at Leo, not all to sure what she was saying. Then he heard a booming 'Einstein' and laughed a bit. "She enlarged and ant and poked at it?" Chase's right eyebrow raised a fraction before coming down. "Well... I suppose that would be fun... Until the thing fought back." Shrugging, he heard Leo say something about tents and nodded slightly. "Oh yeah?"

"Yup, tents, and that'll never hold up in court and you know it," Leo said with a smirk. She walked over to her stuff after she finished putting up the tents. She picked up a stick and marshmallow and shoved the marshmallow on it. "By the way, Chase, this is Crys, Crys this is Chase," she said pointing at them in turn with the stick before putting it on the fire.

"Hi, I'm the sane half of this partnership. Nice ta meet ya." Crys bows then snags the marshmallow off the stick Leona was brandishing. She pops it in her mouth with a smirk. "Mmm...."

Chase nodded at Crys. "Yeah, pleasure." He said with a small smile. His eyes flicked at hair colors and he felt that his was so plain, but he didn't do anything about that. Knowing him, he'd probably set his hair on fire by mistake :P Hey! It's possible.
