I say Snape. They just seemed to be in the same league of smart. But Ron's good to.

I still say Harry should have been with Cho though...

Cho was lame. And so was JKR for not pairing Harry up with Hermione. They were obviously the most suited couple but I guess no one else would take Ron. I get why she did Ron and Hermione but I honestly feel the Harry and Hermione had the most chemistry and would have been a MUCH better couple. She's too brave for a prat like Ron. WAY too smart for him too. Second choise for her would be Victor actually because he was the best out of his school which meant he was smart and brave as well.

i guess hermione was smart enough to choose true love rather than go for someone who had very little courage or skill. Harry was the luckiest guy in the world to have freinds as good as the one's he had and without them he woujld have been nothing. Hermione made a good choice in picking Ron.

Amen Remy! Ron might not have been very smart or charming but teh heart wants what it wants. And Hermione was smart enough to followe hers. But I have to disagree with about Harry. His biggest blessing may have been loyal friends, but he was a good leader. There is just something in a person that makes others want to follow them. Harry had it. And he was stuborn enough to plow through and get things done.

And i never thought of harry like that but i guess your right and as lucky as he was he sure had to have some skill to do all the stuff he did and still be alive.

I think Hermione and Ron are perfect - they balance each other out with him being so laid-back and her being so driven. Hermione and Harry would never have worked because they did have that brother/sister relationship.

Totally agree would have been too weird they never had the chemistry like Ron and Hermione did.

I've always been supportive of the Ron/Hermione relationship. Eventhough they fight all the time; I think it's just because they have so much passion built up. I agree with the whole balancing each other out thing. Harry and Hermione would have just been awkward for me. I think Ginny suits Harry more. She reminds me a lot of Lily and I think that's why he fell for her.
