Emilie walked slowly down to the lake carrying a backpack with her. It was a little after noon and she and Logan had planned to meet at the lake for lunch. When she reached the shore, she opened her backpack and pulled out a blanket and spread it out over the grass. She got along pretty well with the house elves in the kitchens and they had given her some of the left-overs from the previous night's dinner including a container of salad, two sandwiches, two bottles of water, some fruit, and of course, a variety of sweets.

She was wearing a pair of her favorite pair of old, ripped, shorts and a light blue tank-top on top of her purple and pink flower print bikini. The weather had been much warmer lately and today was especially perfect swimming weather. She had brought along some towels in case they needed them as well.

She leaned back on her elbows on the blanket as she waited for Logan, watching as a ladybug started crawling across the light green blanket. You look like a Stanley. she thought as she leaned over and placed her hand in front of it, and it hesitantly crawled onto her palm. She watched it as it crawled around her hand for a minute before starting up her arm. She loved insects, especially ladybugs. She wondered if Logan would come in time to meet her new friend, Stanley.

It was a nice day out, and Logan was humming as he walked down the path to the lake. Instead of his normal jeans, the had on a new pair of black and green swimming trunks. He had on his favorite Mountain Dew tee shirt, and a shark tooth strung around his neck. A "gift" from his cousin. He couldn't wait to see Emilie! He even had a small surprise for her. He reached into the pocket of his trunks and pulled out a small velvet pouch. Grinning, Logan tucked it back inside.

Once he reached the blanket, he smiled at Emilie, who was preoccupied with a ladybug. "Well well, doesn't this look wonderful." He took a seat next to Emilie and looked at the ladybug. "Well then beautiful, who's your new friend?"

Emilie jumped as Logan came and sat down next to her. "This is Stanley." she held out her arm so Logan could see him. "I found him wandering around on the blanket, as bugs usually do when there's food around." she said. "Speaking of which," she let Stanley crawl off her arm and into the grass, "I've brought a wide variety of it with me." she said as she gestured toward the picnic basket. "But what should we do first? Eat or go for a swim?" she asked.

"Great to meet you then, Stanley." He nodded to the ladybug, watching as it disappeared into the vast green field. Then, turning his attention back to the blanket, Logan put a hand to his chin as a thinking gesture. "Hmm, well first things first," he turned his head and kissed her. Then of course turned back to do some serious thinking. "I'd say a swim first, then we can enjoy the picnic, warming in the sun." He suggested, putting his hand into his pocket to pull out the present. He'd have to wait until after they got out of the lake. "If that sounds good to you, my love." Logan smiled and took her hand.

Emilie smiled as Logan kissed her. "Of course a swim sounds good." she said, giving his hand a squeeze before standing up and quickly peeling off her shorts and tank top. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and headed down towards the water. She took a few steps in before pausing to turn back and look at Logan. "Aren't you coming?" she asked smiling.
