Chase got the letter.
An owl that he recognized as one of the school's owls flew over his head as he walked through the grounds. The letter flapped down towards him and he saw his name in big, bold letters. Chase Summerview. Chase opened the letter up and read it. How cool! A vacation on an island. He moved through the Castle in search of Cassie to see if she had been invited as well. This would be great.

Cassie had been roaming the castle, testing out a pair of flip flops when a school owl landed on her shoulder. She was confused for the school usually delivered her detentions notices by a strong ear pull. She leaned against the wall and read the letter, her grin growing brightly as he did. She rounded the corner and SLAM. She hit CHase right in the cxhest falling to the floor. "Hey. DId You get one of these" she said holding it upp

Chase blinked, not quite knowing what was going on, but nodded as he helped her up. "Yeah. That's why I was looking for you!" He said showing her his own letter. Chase smiled a bit. "You okay?" He asked as he wondered silently if anyone else had gotten a letter.

Emma had been in the middle of a homework assignment when she heard a loud thud against the window. Looking over, she saw her owl flying into the window, her cat already trying to break through the glass to get to the owl. "Down Jacqueline." she said sternly, walking over and opening the letter. A vacation to an island! "Nice.." she said to herself, as she began to pack. She would have to talk to Mark first, but if he agreed, then she was already ready to leave.

Quickly, she hurried over to the Gryffindor area, hoping to catch him going into or out of the house.

Mark had been sat in the Gryffindor common room absent mindadly tapping on the table, any excuse not to do homework! He closed his eyes and breathed deeply thinking of a way to make divination interesting....any way at all would be fine. Failing miserably to come up with anything he opened his eyes again to a slight shock.
There was an envelope sitting infront of him with Mark Silvershade printed across the front.

After quickly scanning it he laughed. "An island? Is it April fools day?" he asked mainly to himself as the common room was empty. He went to throw the letter in the bin but after a few more second thought he tucked in away in his back pocket. you never know?! he thought to himself. He could do with a vacation that was for sure.

Giving up on his homework he walked out through the portrait hole. The letter seemed to be written as one of many so he decided he would see if anyone else had recieved one. then he would be more enclinded to believe its contents.

Cassie smiled as he helped her up adjusting her jean shorts. She was wearing a brightly colored tank as well. She hugged him feircely then kissed him as he said her got the letter too. "I'm perfect...And I am so happy we BOTH got letters to go. Oh this is going to be amazing!"

Chase laughed a bit. Taking her hand and starting to walk, just to see if he could find anybody else who got one, he went back the way he came, past the Gryffindor portrait hole. He still wasn't allowed in, so the island was sounding better and better to him. He caught Mark coming out as he passed. "Hey. You get a letter about some island?" He asked casually.

Emma sat down on a bench, tapping slightly against it. Hearing a door open, she looked up to see Mark step out. At the same time, Chase arrived and asked if he got the letter. Getting up, Emma walked over to Mark, and gave him a soft peck on the cheek since they had company. :P "I got one." she said, her eyes glistening with excitement. "I think it sounds like a great idea! What about you?" she asked Mark, looking up into his face and trying to figure out if he was happy about it.

As he stepped out of the common roomhe was met by a double surprise as it turned out there were others in the school to get the mysterious letters. "Alright Chase, yeah i did get one!" he said pulling out of his back pocket and waving it in the air. The next person to greet him was Em. He returned her kiss and smiled at her, "Sounds good to me, especially if your gonna be there." he finished with a wink.
He looked round and saw Cassie stood just behind Chase, who along with him and Emma were also a couple.
"Wonder if its osme kind of couples retreat then?" he asked only half joking. "Should we go see if there are any others around school?"

Melie was sitting in her dorm trying to concentrate on her history of magic homework and kept dozing off. She was taking a nap when her kitten started biting her toes, an annoying habit that she had started to do. She tried to brush the grey cat off of her bed, wishing that Mark was around so Gigi would go moon over him and let her sleep. Melie finally tired of the bites sat up frustrated to see a letter at the foot of the bed next to Gigi and Orion, her owl, sitting on one of the bed posts. She wiped her eyes and then groggily picked up the letter, which simply had her name. Melinda Heartwood.
"when I find out who sent this remind me to stun them Gi," Melie muttered to the cat, she hated being called Melinda. Melie opened the letter and read it two times before she realized that she had just been given a free trip to some island. Melie sat up straighter first wondering which bikini's she was going to bring with her, she had so many, and flip flops and sunglasses and hats. Then it hit her, she wondered if Liam was going to go.
"he has to, there's no way he can say no to this," she muttered to herself and leapt out of bed and rushed down the hall to Liam's dorm and started to bang on his door.

Chase smiled slightly at Emma when she appeared. He also noticed the pattern that Mark had noticed and gave a slight shrug. Looking at Cassie then back at them he nodded and put on another smile. "Why not. It's likely that there're more of us..." He said. "Bit odd though, if it was just couples... Maybe a fluke?" He said with another shrug.

Emma smiled, happy to see that Mark approved of the idea. "I'm already packed!" she said, motioning to the purse she was carrying. "It would be pretty cool if it was a couple's vacation." she said with a grin, going over the idea in her mind. A beach, a nice hotel, smoothies... Eventually she came out of her little fantasy, and looked around.."I wonder who else got them, because there are a lot of couples throughout the school."

Liam was laying stretched out on his hammock, enjoying the sunshine when he felt something fall on his bare chest.

"A letter huh?" He ripped it open and examined the parchment inside. He read it once, then again and again. A free island vacation... He immediately popped up to pack for the fun. Two pairs of swim trunks, plenty of t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and button-down shirts. Not that they'd be buttoned or anything. Just as he started rifling through his drawers he heard someone pounding on his door. He went over and opened the door to see his girlfriend, quite anxious looking standing there.

"I take it you got the letter about the free vacation? I take it we're going, obviously?" A lop-sided smile tugged at the left side of his mouth.

Cassie grinned brightly as EMma zoned out. "Gee I dunno. But its going to be Awesome" she looked at her wrist preteding to check the time. "Hey Emma. We gotta pack. Want me to escort you to Ravey on my way to Slythy" she asked grinning and pecking CHase's cheek as she grabbed her friends arm and began to pull/

When Liam opened the door Melie could see that he was packing already so she knew that he had gotten a letter and intended on going.
"Of course we're going!" Melie exclaimed. "Do you think anyone else is going? Lets finish packing and i'll meet you infront of the portrait and we'll go see if anyone knows anything else."
She turned and ran back to her room and threw open her wardrobe and pulled out two hot pink suitcases. Grabbing everything that she thought she would possibly need, Melie dumped it all into the suitcases and zipped them close. After looking around to make sure that nothing had been forgotten, Melie dragged the bags over by the door to wait to leave and then headed out to the portrait. When she stepped through the fat lady Melie nearly tripped over Mark who was there with Cassie, Chase and Emma.
"Since there are so many of you hanging around outside the portrait I take it something's up and that something has to do with a trip to an island?" Melie asked them all with a slight smirk.

Chase nodded at Melie as she appeared. "Yeah... You got that letter as well then? And I suppose Liam did too?" Chase said with a slight smile as he read it over again. Twice in fact because it almost didn't seem real. "It'll be good to get away for a bit no?" He said with a nod as if only asking himself.

OOC: Hey I'm really sorry to interupt here without joining the RP but I was invited in and I'm going to explain why I'm not going to join. I saw on the cbox that this is a couples thread and that Leo and Scarlett are not invited into it because their partners are not active enough. I think that it's very rude to exclude people like that, and then to say in a public place why they weren't invited in. It's not their fault, and I wouldn't exactly call Mark or Liam active either. (No offense guys, you know i love you.) So since those are the terms of this thread, I will not be joining it. I believe that also means that Remy wont be. Since I am the other half of the couple, and obviously both parts of the couple have to post in order to count.

OoC: I think its fair to say everyone has made threads that exludes certain people and i know for a fact that ive been exluded from some too, but i dont mind, people have their reasons and its not as if there is a shortage of places to post around.

Leo and scarlett arnt the only poeple who wernt invited, there was only ten invitations afterall. Maybe it was unfair to exclude them or maybe its vital to the plot i dunno youll have to ask chase.

BiC: Mark turned as Melie almost ran into the back of him, "Oh not you too!" he teased with a grin. "I guess this really is turning into a couples thing, what on earth is that about i wonder?" he asked aloud although he wasnt necessarily expecting anyone to answer. Em and Cassie seemed to want to pack straight away and Mark looked across as Chase. "Packing already? weve still got a few hours till midnight right? Girls and thier clothes i guess!" he finished with a chuckle.

Ooc: I don't count Mark & Liam as inactive because it seems that whenever I'm on Liam is, and I do see Mark quite frequently as well... As for Michael and Dalejin, I haven't seen them ONCE. So, as Mark said, it is a bit different. I really actually wish that if you had a problem with this thread you would have sent me an owl, because if I say anything about the plot it basically gives everything away. Then there would be no point to even have it. But I will say that the point *was* to have couples that post about the same amount as each other or at least enough. If you need me to say more you can send me a PM.

Bic: Chase nodded a bit. "I'm just planning on shoving a few things in a bag then making it small enough to fit in my pocket!" he said with a slight laugh as he moved his hand to the back of his neck. "They always seem to have to have everything right... The right amount of everything..."

Melie gave Mark a shove for his comment but not hard enough to actually move him.
"Yes I got one too, so did Liam, and I see enough of you so I was hoping that this would be a nice relaxing trip away from you Mark," Melie said putting her hands on her hips. "I packed before coming down, and my bags are waiting by the door ready to go when I am, Liam is doing his right now I think"

Twyla was in Diagon Alley searching for a lipgloss one day when a beautiful barn owl landed on her shoulder."Strange"Twyla thought "Normally people txt".She stroked the owl and got the letter off it's leg.It said Twyla Burke in big letters on the front.Twyla watched the owl fly off.She cringed as the owl flew into the glass sliding door.It got up and flew out the window.Twyla ripped open the letter and read about the island.The letter turned into a silver bangle portkey.Twyla smiled and put it in her white leather handbag.She grabbed a lipgloss called "Coconut Island" it smelled just like coconut.She saw a sparkly blue sarong.She grabbed it and payed for her things.She went back into her shop Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes and went back to Hogwarts using floo powder.Twyla came out in a Transfiguration classroom where she got trapped in earlier that year.She walked out and went to find her friends.She found Chase and Cassie,Emma and her boyfriend she had not met outside.She saw they were both holding letters.She rushed up to the and said 'I got one to!I can't wait!I've got to go and pack.See ya at the island.".She waved them goodbye to them all and rushed to her dorm to get packed.

Henry saw people with inventions to 'the island'. So that's what Chase was talking about when he menitoned the island it the owl, Henry thought. So Henry got all ready and met Chase at the island. Henry walked up to Chase and said, "Hey Chase, What's up? What are we all doing here today?"

OOC: Henry, none of us are at the island yet..lol

BIC: Emma smiled at Cassie when she mentioned packing. "Actually I'm already done." she said, before turning to Melie who had just showed up. "Well, I am happy she is coming along." she said jokingly, more to Mark than Melie. At the same moment, Twy came up and said hello and then left. "Well that was odd..." she murmered under her breath for only Mark to here, as she watched the girl disapear towards the Ravey house.

Cassie smiled at Emma then realized she was the only one who wasn't packed of the girls. She grinned sheepishly at the boys. "Heh..Heh...Maybe I should go pack my stuff as well" she said with a smile. She pecked Chase on the cheek and ran to her dorm waving goodbye as she did. She needed to pack pretty bad., Thank god she always had her emergancy pack.

Chase laughed a bit at the look on Cassie's face. As he had mentioned, he was just planning on throwing a few things in a bag, he probably would do it a it early, but now? Ah. Oh well. Chase sighed at the fact that most of his stuff was in his dorm and, though he still wasn't allowed in there, he was thinking about taking a lesson or two from his kid sister. Little Callie could dress herself in something different without even being in the same town as her things. Chase, turning back to the remaining crowd after waving Cassie off, gave a shrug. "Good break from homework at least..." He said with a nod.

Emma watched as Cassie left to go pack. Looking at both of the boys, she asked.."Do you guys still need to go pack? And what time is it?". The letter said by midnight, and she wanted to make sure she kept track of her time. The last thing she wanted to do was miss the portkey. "So, any guesses of where this island is?" she said to Melie.

Chase grinned slightly, avoiding the laugh. That was what they had just been talking about, their need to pack. Chase glanced at the fancy watch around his wrist and looked back up. Time had gone pretty quickly since he first got the letter, it had been about five pm then, and now it was... "It's about eleven..." He said. It was two minutes past, but still. "Time goes fast..." He said blinking a few times. He put his hands in his pocket and one of them came out with his wand, from there, he moved it and a bag that seemed to have things in it came. "I'm all ready..." He said with a smile.

Melie waved to Cassie and turned and looked behind her to see if Liam was coming yet, he was taking his time paking Melie thought. A second later Emma said something and she turned to look at her friend.
"I have no clue, somewheres nice and hot with a white sand beach and palm trees I hope!" Melie told her with a smile, drifting off for a second thinking about lying on the beach, the sun nice and bright and just laying there, relaxing.

Cassie made it to her dorm in record dorm, thank god for secret passages. She began to pack everything she needed from bikinis, to shorts to sweatshirts and pajamas. She pakced two bags, one containing all of her stuff and the other all of her entertainmnet. She shrunk them and stuck them in her pocket ad began to run back to the Tower. Using her secret passages she made it back in record time again. She skidded in front of Melie and right into CHase with a laugh.

Chase caught Cassie as she slid into him instead of letting himself fall backwards from the slight impact. He laughed a bit as well. "Well," Chase said with a grin. "Aren't you quick?" He said with a slight laugh. Chase heard Melie's hopes about the island and shrugged. "Who knows..."

Twyla ran back to where everyone was just on time.She was pulling her 2 suitcases behind her.On top were her pets.A kitten called Danielle,A rabbit called Cindy and a owl called Piggy.Puffing she said"Yay I haven't missed it'.She sat down on the floor and ignored her pets while they tryed to get out of there cages.She pulled out her letter and grasped it in one hand and her things in another.She looked at her blue sparkly watch and said 'It will leave very soon!".

Chase looked over at Tinkerbell with a slight smile, seeing the letter crunched up in her hand. "Well... I suppose that answers the immediate question..." He said with a half nod. Chase kept one arm around Cassie, still somewhat in the position that he stopped her skid in. He glanced down at the time again. "Hey, how about everyone meets at the lake just before we've gotta go? That way we can make sure nothing was a trick..." He wasn't quite sure what he meant, but it was a good enough way of putting it.



Chase found himself by the lake, letter in his hand. He waited patiently, looking down into the water and hoping the mermaids wouldn't get to angry that he was close to the lake he had been banned from. Chase saw a shadow a few feet away, it looked human, so he wasn't all that worried.

Ooc: By the way y'all... The man who sent the letters is gonna be at the island to greet everyone and announce things like a)why you, c)a suprise, d)what te island holds, yatta yatta. I'll make sure to put him in color so that it's easy to tell between us...

Cassie got up from the skid position and smiled brightly at him. "Okay lets all meet at the lake" she agreed running off to her dorm to find out what she had missed in the hurried packing. As she wandered around her dorm she wondered what the island would hold and what she would experiance there. Suddenly looking at her clock she realized it was 10 til midnigth and it took her five minutes to get to the lake. She ran to the lake pulling her bag along as she did then stuffing the two in her pocket, She smiled as she saw Chase and made it the final two feet. "hey..." she said softly.

Emma smiled when Chase announced that they will meet at the lake. "Sounds good to me." she replied, before turning to Mark. "I'm going to go back to my house real quick and make sure everything is in order. I'll meet you down at the lake, ok?" she said, before kissing him quickly and leaving.

After grabbing her blue bag, she swung it over her shoulder. It was a duffle bag that had been magically re-sized inside to fit anything she wanted. After parting with Leala, and leaving her in Logan's care,( :blink: ), Emma headed down to the lake. Finding Chase and Cassie already there, she jokingly said.."Long time no see.." while walking up to them.

Chase had just wrapped his arms around Cassie, bringing her into a hug, when he saw another shadow. Emma's obviously. He didn't let go right away, but after Emma spoke, he let himself do so. Taking one of Cassie's hands instead, because he had to have some part of her, he smiled at Emma. "Hey Em..." He said with a second smile. "Yeah, s'been a while hasn't it?"

Mark stood there listening to the conversations as they flew past. He preffered to observe in situations like this especially when in this particular instant he wasnt sure how much they should all trust the author of the letter. It all seemed too good to be true and in his expreience that was never a good thing.

He kissed Emma as she left the corridor and he agreed to meet them all at the lkae just before midnight.



After the time he had spent packing Mark really didnt have long to get down to the lake and meet everyone. He cast a quick levitation spell on his magically enhanced bag and set off to meet everyone oputside.
He arrived not long before midnight. He grinned as he approached and gave Emma a kiss before looking towards Chase and Cassie.
"I take it youve all got your letters, they're the port keys afterall right?" he asked as he pulled his own out of his pocket.

Cassie hugged him bck, letting go when Emma showed up but intwertwining her fingers with his. "Hey Emma...hey Mark" she said greeting th new boy as she appeared. She pulled her letter out of her pocket and held it up. "Yep! I got my letter. I compeltly have no idea what the island will be like...will the portkeys take all of us to the same place" she wondered aloud grinning at the trio.

Chase had a theory about that. "I certainly hope not Cassie..." He said about the same place thing. "I mean, if all of them leave at the same time, to the same place, taking up the same amount of time..." Chase wondered if they knew where he was going with this. "We'd end up standing one on top of another... And that would only be if we were lucky!" He gave a muffled laugh. "But I suppose that we'll be around the same area... I honestly doubt that someone would send us letters and then not want to tell us why..." Chase then held up his letter as well. Just to prove to himself that he had it.

OoC: I have permission to godmode Liam for a few days while he's away.

BiC: Melie and Liam made their way out to the meeting spot, their letters in hand. As they approached Melie could see that Chase, Cassie, Emma and Mark were there already.
"Hi guys," Melie said as they approached, and with a flick of her wand, the trail of suitcases behind them dropped next to Liam in a neat pile. "So how much longer? I don't have a watch."

Emma smiled when she felt Mark behind her. "Hey you." she said, to him, watching as he took his letter out. Then, Chase and Cassie did the same thing. Pulling her letter out of the backpocket of her jeans, she held it in her hand, putting her other arm around Mark's back/waist. She then heard Melie and Liam come, and ask about the time. "Umm..let me check." she said, pulling her iphone out of the outer pocket of her duffle bag. "We have less than 2 minutes." she said excitedly.
