Bic: Miu moved next to the lake. It was time. It had been time for a while but she hadn't wanted to admit it to herself. Sending Rain with a batch of letters to go to a few people, she knew that more people would show up and that was just fine, as long as Cassie didn't. The first letters were to Scarlett, Sabrina, and Chase. This was a confrontation... This was the last straw, if he didn't come up with three good reasons... Or an explanation... Then, well she didn't know, but he wouldn't like it.

Scarlett didn’t know why, but she supposed it was because Rain was so colorful, Bella never attacked her the way she did most owls that dropped off post to Scarlett’s dorm. Scarlett gave the many hued owl a treat as she took Mui’s letter and read it. Scarlett could almost smell the confrontation and she breathed it in heavily. Unlike most people she thrived on confrontation and felt most alive when in the midst of it. She threw a light gray sweater on over cerulean blue top she wore above a flowy gray skirt and headed down to appointed meeting place. She saw Mui there and waved to the girl. “I am glad you asked me to join,” she told her soberly.

Miu smiled. It looked almost genuine. "I think I might kill him without you..." She said with a smile. Miu just needed to clear up that damn boys intentions. She needed it, she couldn't let one of her best friends get hurt... Not again. "I just hope Cassie doesn't think to badly of us if she hears..." That was the only thing that bothered Miu. That was one of the only things that mattered.

"She might hear... But what's this about?" Chase had gotten an owl. It had only said two things. Place and time, he couldn't remember but he thought that the word come had been there, somewhere as well. Seeing that there was both Miu, and Scarlett his stomach flipped and he wanted to turn and go, but instead he just took out his wand. "Just in case. Hopefully I shan't need to use it..."

Scarlett saw Chase approaching with his wand in his hand and it looked very menacing to her. She drew hers as well. “Did anyone ever tell you that it’s rude to draw your wand on unarmed witches?” Scarlett wasn’t sure was this meeting was all about, but she didn’t like it one bit.

"All I know is that if Miu's here then it's quite possible that I'm not safe without my own drawn." Chase said, backing up a bit as she drew her own. "Nothing against you Scarlett." His gaze moved away from the wanded witch. His own wand was limply by his side.

Leona could feel tension in the wind. It was only supported when she saw her roomie Scarlett receive and owl and quickly rush away. Leeona in her animagus followed her and saw her meet up with Miu. Chase followed soon after. She watched as wands were drawn and words were exchanged. She turned into a human and walked over. "Don't mind me," she said in a low drawl. "I'm just here to make sure no one gets killed," she said with a false laugh.

Scarlett flicked her glance quickly to Miu who did not seem to be reacting. She heard Leo walk up and she nodded to acknowledge her roomie’s words, but she spoke to Chase. “Miu is not holdin’ her wand so what do ya say we put ours away. I think we are just here to talk.” Scarlett did want this to come to spells. Since Chase’s wand we at his side she lowered hers as well.

Miu didn't move an inch. Her heart didn't skip a beat. Her mouth didn't twitch. Her eyes stayed planted on Chase. A glare of sorts coming from the edges of the eyes that now remained blue. She just watched them talk for a moment. Then, when Leo appeared she cracked a smile. More of a smirk really, but it was so close that it could have been regarded as either. Taking a little mint covered in plastic out of her pocket, she unwrapped it and stuck it in her mouth. "Just leave him be on that front Scar." Miu said, finally moving her eyes from Chase to Scarlett. "He wouldn't dare do a thing... He just feels better with something by his side..." Miu got tired of the mint already and spit it out. It had an odd taste to it and didn't fancy being poisoned by it. "Welcome Leo." Her voice had a slight void in it, like she was distant from even a situation in which she was in control of. As if something was missing from her. Or something had been added and she just couldn't get used to it. But it was to hard to pay attention to that, she could have just had a sore throat after all. "He's to scared to do anything..."

Scarlett was having deep misgivings. Miu was acting so strangely and being so cryptic that even Scarlett was haveing a hard time following her. Her typical reaction to not understanding something occured, her brows furrowed. "What has he got to be scared of? We didn't invite him here to throw him a sack party or take him on a snipe hunt."

Chase caught that. Whether she meant it as a threat or not he didn't know, but he caught the meaning. "There's plenty to be scared of..." He said in a dull whisper that almost couldn't carry. "But I don't believe that it's here. He." Chase corrected himself. He was definitely a he, not an it. But still... Wasn't completely human.

Miu laughed. A convincing laugh if there ever was one. "There is much for him to be scared of..." Miu spoke with a nod. "Whether it be the mermaids in the water or the-" She paused and took a glance at the boy. "-or the werewolf's in the trees." Looking back to Scarlett she nodded. "But you needn't be scared of half these things. They shan't harm you dear Scarlett."

Instead of cheered by Miu’s laughter Scarlett was chilled by it. Her right arm jerked a fraction of an inch to raise her wand again but she didn’t. She spoke to Miu, “Chase shouldn’t have to fear those things either Miu. The students of Hogwarts are same at Hogwarts.” Scarlett flicked her gaze back to Chase as if questioning whether he really was afraid of those things.

Chase also felt chills go down and up his spine when Miu laughed. He didn't know why, but he felt that it sounded almost... Evil. Getting a grip on himself he forced his wand back into his pocket. He saw Scarlett's hand twitched and regretted it almost immediately. His hands fell back to his side and he looked at the silent Leo, then to Scarlett, and finally back towards Miu. "The mermaids don't frighten me..." He said with a sharp intake of air. He admitted nothing about the werewolf's but felt another shutter go down his spine. "But I do have to admit that now that you suggest I should be I won't just shrug it off..."

Dispite what Miu had said at the owlery Scarlett believed what Chase had told her about his mother. She would have been afraid of werewolves too. And not lying about it just then scored him a point with her. “We did not come here to talk about mermaids,” Scarlett said trying to steer the conversation in a productive direction, because all these veiled threats were getting them nowhere. “Chase I want to talk to you about Cassie. Every since Miu’s party I have been worried. I just want to know that you are not plannin’ to hurt her. I know that sometimes just happens, but the way you set her an impossible task makes me think you might be into watchin’ people fail.” Scarlett stated her case plainly in a straight forward manner as was her habit.

Chase knew how she felt. He wanted to put this in the best way possible. "I don't want to hurt Cassie..." He said simply. His eyes stayed on Scarlett until after he finished those words, then they moved away. Chase was an actor, but still... He was sure that he wasn't acting, and if he was sure... How could Scarlett not be? His eyes moved back to Scarlett for a moment. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did..." Chase blinked his eyes twice before letting them fall to the ground. His body moved to the ground as well and he ended in a sitting position. "I don't think I could do it..." Of coarse, it was easy to hurt someone, but he meant that even if he didn't like her anymore, he didn't think he could bring himself to hurt her on purpose. "I'd sooner die."

“All right then,” Scarlett said crisply. “That’s all I needed to know. But there is something the two of you need to know. I sense something between the two of you that is low and dangerous. You,” she pointed at Chase, “are my housemate, and you are my friend,” Scarlett pointed at Miu and said the words though she wasn’t as sure of that as she had once been, “and so I have loyalties to each of you. Hogwarts is a place to learn where everyone should feel safe. So if I catch either one of you makin’ it unsafe for anyone, even each other I will take action. I know a bit of each of your stories so I realize that what lies between you cannot easily be swept aside, but you are gonna half to try or just stay away from each other.”

Miu caught Scarlett's slight distaste for the word friend. It was true though. How could you really be friends with someone whom you know nothing about. Scarlett knew most, but even that was a pathetic excuse for anything. "Staying away would seem best wouldn't it?" She spoke as she took out her own wand. For a moment it looked as if she were going to do something, but she only inspected it. As if looking for cracks, loss of power from the stick. "Sadly, those whom I know seem to love him." Love was for Cassie, like was for all others. "So that will be impossible." Miu smirked. What had happened to her on those little trips? "And, try as hard as I may, I don't believe I can get along." Miu turned her back to them. All of them, and found herself looking into the lake. Her eyes fell upon the blue color that she was keeping them and her head tilted. "But it doesn't matter at all." She took off her shoes without using her hands and dipped her toes into the water. "Because you, Dear Scarlett, haven't the slightest clue of the truth. You wouldn't even realize if Hogwarts was becoming unsafe for myself of him. I hide everything." Her eyes moved to Scarlett and eye color had finally changed. Red. "And Summerview's... They hide more." Miu took her wand to her clothes which changed immediately to a bathing suit. "Even if they don't realize it." She dropped her wand. Letting it fall into her shoes, and then... She jumped into the water.

Scarlett took offense at Miu's words. How dare the girl tell her what she did and did not know. She knew there was something going on here. And that was enough to start her brain whiring in preperation. Scarlett refused her own anger from getting the better of her especially since she could see the red in Miu's eyes.

Scarlett turned away as Miu stepped into the water, her snapping green eyes fixed on Chase. Maybe he would hide his intentions from her as Miu said, but Scarlett's straight forward streak goaded her into asking questions anyway, "What is this danger Chase? How can we be prepared to confront it?"

Friend. The cold water on her body felt like a sauna to Miu. She hadn't the faintest idea why, but it did. Her hands made her move through the water, and even though she saw Scarlett's face, she did nothing. Friend. Miu felt the need to answer Scarlett's questions, even though they were aimed at Chase. Her head moved out of the water, her blackened hair soaking with the cold yet hot water. Friend. "The danger is everywhere. You can't tell when it's about to come, but you know when it's there. It will come and you won't stop it." Was the girl speaking in rhyme? Did she even really know what the danger was? Friend. The word kept flashing through her head and was giving her a migraine. Friend. It hit her somewhere, but she didn't know where. Friend. She spoke. "It will come in a form that could scare the world." Friend. "And it will be the hardest thing to prepare for. You may not even find a way..." She forced the word out of her mind and relaxed herself, letting her body float on the top of the water. "Until it comes."

Scarlett whirled around at hearing Miu's words. Her anger escaped its tight cage and the gloves came off and with them Scarlett's carefully polished veneer of politness. "That is a load of crap! But it is what I would expect a coward to say. Danger so great it can't be named or prepared for? That kind of danger doesn't exist while there are Gryffys ready to stand and face it. if danger threatens my school and my friends then I find a way to prepare and combat. But if you want to do the badgerly thing and dig a hole then you better dig it mighty deep. Because if something happens and anyone gets hurt, and I find out you knew something that could have helped, i will smoke you out and you will not like what I will do." As if to emphasize her point a thin trickle of smoke drifted out of Scarlett's right nostril as she fought to choke back the fire that almost alway accompanied her rage.

Miss Miu Mari Mopolis-

Miu laughed. "Anger is a precious thing isn't it?" She asked, her feet now moving her along a bit. "It sits in you, it boils to the brim and then... You let it out." The smirk she had been given by her laugh faded and her eyes looked at how the moon was sitting. Full. "You, being the operative word... Mine, sits. Under everything I was taught, under everything I am... It sits. And I can't let it boil, and I can't let it erupt. I can't let it out and I can't to a god damned thing to make it go away." Her voice was still somewhat calm, but it almost seemed as if the words were doing what she said could not be done.

Her ears listened to the threats from the friend she never had and her smirk came back. "I know more than anybody..." She spoke lightly, as if it weren't really her speaking. Her voice was different, and it sounded... More like Belladonna's voice had. Sadly nobody had seen her sister or heard her dear voice before she died. "And you can try to stop it. You can always try. But the fact that you trust so easily will blind you in how you try to prepare." It was like she was reading out of a book. The words had been rehearsed. "You will think one way and it will happen a different way..."

"And she will not hide, she will stay in plain view." Miu's eyes were closed again. Was she talking about herself? Was she talking about someone older? Wiser? More than Miu was becoming? "And you will pass over her as if she is nothing. You will break her. You will make her into what she is. It is inevitable." Now she spoke to the whole group instead of just Scarlett. "In fact... You may have already cast her as something she is not. You will bring this all down upon yourself. And you will not realize." Again, her eyes opened to look at Scarlett. "Until it's to late..."

Scarlett recognized the eerie quality in Miu voice and it chilled her. Scarlett had been in the grips of prophecy her whole life. “Know this Miu, I don’t make threats,” Scarlett said very quietly. “And I thank you for tellin’ me what little you know. And if I bring havoc down on myself then so be it. I can only be what I am. And I am gonna defend this place and those in to the end. That is what it means to be a friend. All that other non sense you are spoutin’ means nothin’ to me.” Scarlett turned away from the water again, her eyes on Chase, to see if he had anything he’d like to add.

Miss Miu Mari Mopolis-

"Upon yourself? No. All of you, everyone she has ever known, will bring it down upon the world..." Miu! Get a grip on yourself! You don't want them all to hate you! You can help! You can stop it all before it happens! Miu moved out of the water and shook her head. Trying to get thoughts out of her head. For the first time in her whole life, for the first time since the day she was born, Miu was crying. How? When did it start? What's happening? She asked herself. The tears running down her cheeks were scaring her. Fear? And tears? This is insanity!

Scarlett had thought she was done with Miu so she wasn’t even really listening to what she was saying anymore, but then a strange thing happened. The girl came out of the lake and started crying. Scarlett didn’t even think that was possible. That was why she had been so suspicious of Chase when he dared Cassie to make Miu smile. And now the girl was crying. At a loss Scarlett looked at Chase again to see what his reaction would be.

Chase's eyes moved between the two girls, occasionally his view would change and a shudder would go down his spine. "Who exactly is she?" He asked. His own words were chosen carefully. It was easy to tell. "We already know her then?" Chase was at odds when she started to cry. He didn't want to jump to the conclusion of faking, but she was a good actress.

Miss Miu Mari Mopolis-

Miu stopped herself and shook away the moment of feeling that she had fell. She shrugged when Chase asked his question. "You know some of her.... Only from the outside. But she has a dual identity that nobody will reach. And her intentions are worse than even you could realize Summerview."

Chase felt another shudder (shutter?) go down his spine. He was unaware now that Scarlett had gone quiet for a moment. It seemed to be a thing, someone was always quiet. Leona seemed to be quiet the longest amount of time, but still... Miu, Scarlett, or Chase... One of them always had nothing to add to the conversation. "Is it you?"

Sabrina was runngin from the Slytherin dorms as fast as her legs could carry her. She had gotten the owl and then had to tend to the poor thing, because her cat Midnight had attcked it to the ground. She sent the owl on it's way and she ran now, to the lake.

She didn't understand what this was about. Chase was nice! He seemed to be in love wioth Cassie, and her in love with him, though they probably won't admit it to anyone else. Well, at least he seemed nice...

Sabrina was not prepared to even have to deal with something like this. She had been reading comfortably, sitting on her bed in her her purple sweatpants and her purple tanktop. She had been wearing a purple bikini underneath, becuase she had been planning on a late night swim. But as she tran she scrapped that idea and mae her way out of the main doors and onto the grounds.

"What the hall do they need me for?" she asked herself as she finally made it to the lake. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Chase, his wand out, and Scarlett, and Miu... CRYING?! What the hell?

"Oh no..." she said and ran to them.
"Guys... Miu, I got the owl, what's going on? Scarlett? Chase? What the hell is going on that Miu is crying? And why are we out by the lake for?" Sabrina stopped asking questions ans waited for an answer. She was only a little angry, but there was a little piece of her that was scared thjat something terrible was to come.

She let her arms drop to her sides and just stood there.

Scarlett remained quiet because she was very interested in the answers to Chase’s questions and she was afraid to side track Miu by asking more. Unfortunately Sabrina came up and started asking questions of her own. Scarlett looked at the purple clad red-head and put her finger to her lips her eyes promising Sabrina her answers later. Scarlett then turned her attention back to Chase and Miu, hoping that answers would still be forth coming.

OOC: This thread is now officially the past, but might as well continue it :P

BIC: Miu looked at Chase as if she were offended. "Oh, of coarse not! Are you an idiot!?" She shook her head because she knew he was. "Don't answer that." Her tears were gone so quickly that it made all doubt that she was really doing do. And she hadn't been. Not really, it was all a ruse. "But it will be someone close to me..."
