Ok.. i'm wanting to start a new RP where its not the same line of lalala good good good, something bad happens, appears, etc etc, you fight it, fix it, whatev, then lalala good good good. does anyone have any ideas? once we get a good topic we can just use this thread, so we don't spam the boards, and if i'm not mistaken we can change the title at a later date also?

i'm thinking about one set in the 7th book so i don't know how far along everyone is, so

How about set in the last battle, where we can kinda create our own characters, and perhaps do a dueling frenzy with fighting each other, fighting dementors (known or made up) and it'll kinda be a duel RP.. but i dunno.

i don't want to start something that no one would be interested in. and i'm pretty much game for anything

just so im clear on this ....will we be using our characters on the lc or making up complete new ones specifically for this thread?

well. i dunno, it would be up to you. people could use the book characters, but there only a handful. and i wasn't positive on how many people would want to participate. although making up your own character is rather fun and interesting.

OOo I like the idea a lot. If we use characters from the book then I want to be either Belatrix or voldemort. I think we should use characters from the book, it would be more fun. Let's do it. Ok????!! Yaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!! This'll be a lot of fun.

I agree with Henry, though I'd like to make up my own character, nonetheless, this sounds really awesome!

This sounds really cool. Though I dont think we should use characters from the book for the reason that everyone would probably want to be Harry or Voldemort. And also those people could easily just be like "Voldemort sends a spell that blows up the whole area and kills everyone. YAY voldy wins." LOL. But it's up to you since it's your idea, and I'll be probably using Emma or one of Emma's great grandmothers who would have been there fighting. :P

Emma has a point there. People could also be mean/selfish and take all the good/powerful characters, making it a bit unfair.

We’ve done this in a couple of threads already so there are examples for you guys to look at. You will probably have the most fun if you age your own characters instead of using ones out of the book. My advice to you would be just to choose something horrible to have happen. Send out some pm’s to let people know what the terrible thing is an how much older their characters should be, or if they should pick an ancestor, how far back they should go. I am not saying that it should be a private thread, but a little advertising might be helpful. Also maybe a paragraph at the beginning letting folks know what is going on.
