Remy waited by the whomping willow hoping that the winner of the auction would soon arrive. He had no idea who was going to win but whoever it was he hoped that whoever arrived wouldn't mind a nice dinner in greece with dessert in canada. Of course if hte winner wanted to do something else he was fine with that too after all he wouldnt mind a nice day at the lake either.

Scarlett had dressed carefully for her date with Remy. She wanted to look nice because she had no idea where they were going, but she didn't want to over do anything. The wind whipped the hem of stylish black wrap dress around her calves as she exited the castle and made her way to the whomping willow.

She could see Remy standing near it and her face reddened slightly with a blush. She really didn't know what had come over her at the auction. The only way she could even begin to explain her actions was that she had been overtaken by her will to win. Auctions were like competive shopping and that was a combination that was irresistable to her.

"Hello Remy," she said quietly.

Remy looked at scarlett and smiled as he walked up to her. "Hi scar, you look gorg umm i mean booty uh what i mean is lovely" he said a bit nervous but he hoped she wouldn't pay attention Remy was normally very confident and he had no idea why he was so nervous now. He closed his eyes for a second to refocus himself and then grinned as he opened them. "Do you have a place in mind for our date or shall i take care of things" he said as he brushed his hair back away from his face and smiled.

Scarlett smiled at Remy’s compliments. They put her at ease immediately because she was used to hearing them. “Thank you sir. You look very handsome yourself, not a hair out of place,” Scarlett’s voice was light and only slightly mocking. She had always been a tad jealous of Remy’s hair because she thought it was the only hair at Hogwarts that might look better than hers.

“You take care of the details Remy,” Scarlett answered his question while she tied a leopard pring scarf around her head carefully tucking her hair beneath so that it wouldn’t be wind-blown. It was not her custom to think about a date until she was on it. In her old fashioned way of thinking it was the man’s responsibility to make all arrangements and decisions about where and when things would happen and it was the lady’s responsibility to look pretty and provide charming company.

Remy took his hand out and held it out for scarlett to grab hold of then shook his head, withdrew it and walked up to scarlett and put his hands around her waist. "let's get going then" he said softly as he summoned a gentle wind and lifted them up into the air. He grinned as he felt his feet leave the ground and he knew this was going to be a day to remember.

Scarlett had wondered if she would be scared to fly without a plane or broom, but as her feet left the ground she felt nothing but exhilaration. She was glad hat she had packed her hair away because she wouldn’t have wanted to miss moment watching the ground sink away. “I don’t see how you ever let your feet touch the ground Remy, this is wonderful,” she said as she tried to look everywhere at once.

Remy heard scarlett and shook his head "well i have been doing this a while but i can't do this all day even i get tired at times" he said laughing. He looked around and saw they were now close enough to some clouds that he could fly through them "sorry i just wanted you to experience that" he said with a grin before he got serious "scarlett hang on tight i want to take you somewhere special but we need to really fly to get there so hang on as tight as you can" he said as he closed his eyes and suddenly a loud boom was heard as Remy had broke the sound barrier "firebolts got nothing on me" he smirked.

Scarlett laughed like a child as Remy took them through a cloud. She stretched her arms up and ran her fingers though the cloud. She felt condensation gather on her eyelashes and she blinked them rapidly. It was much like being in fog, but different because Scarlett knew it was a cloud. “Thank you so much Remy. I have always wanted to know what a cloud felt like.”

When Remy turned serious Scarlett listened and then wrapped her arms around his neck and held on tight. A rebel yell accompanied the sonic boom as Scarlett reveled in the speed. “I would think it would be more of a decoration than anything,” she said in answer to Remy’s comment about the firebolt.

Remy slowed down as he began his descent making sure not to slow down too fast. He landed on a small clearing out of the way of anything and looked around at all the sand. "scarlett welcome to egypt i needed to land away from muggles but we should be close enough to get to the sphynx theres something cool i want to show you" he said happily.

Scarlett watched as they landed oohing and ahhhing as everything that had been tiny become large again. She couldn’t help but wriggle around as she pointed at stuff and it was a miracle that Remy managed to hold onto her. But like most miracles Scarlett did not take much notice of it as she was too busy enjoying the ride.

“The Sphinx!” Scarlett jumped and clapped her hands. “Oh Remy, how exciting. I have never been to Egypt before. Will this Sphinx come to life like the one we found in that underground pyramid?”

Remy looked at scarlett and shook his head "umm i dont think it will and to be honest i was a bit scared of the little sphinx so if this huge staute is alive im going to have an accident in my pants" he said honestly. He made his way to the sphinx and was suprised to see officers standing in front of it. Remy made his way towards the sphinx when one of the officers stepped in front of him. "we're very sorry sir but the sphinx is closed for the week" Remy shook his head and laughed "but we came a long way to see it what do you mean its closed" he asked. "we are sorry sir but those are our orders" the guard said and walked back where he was in formation with the other guards.

Scarlett followed Remy to the Sphinx. When she heard the guard say that it was closed she put on her most charming pout. "But wee are only here for this one day." Scarlett fluttered her long black lashes as if she would soon break into tears.

The guards face softened and he said, "Well I guess if you took a quick look it woud be ok." He waved Remy and Scarlett through. Scarlett hurried on a looked back at Remy with a devilish grin on her face.

Remy smiled as scarlett got them in. "you are so awesome scarlett im so glad it was you who won me instead of someone like melie" he said honestlly. He walked in and saw what looked like a secret chamber but it was guarded by another male guard. The guard spotted remy and licked his lips and winked at him.

"Why thank you Remy," Scarlett said in reference to his comment about Melie. "Melie is sweet, but sometimes you need a little spice to open doors," Scarlett spoke as they walked. There was another guard standing there. "Speaking of spice, I think it's your turn to heat things up in order to get us in."

Remy stared at scarlett and shook his head "no hon i don't think i have the right umm spices to do what you did right now" he smiled. Remy reached into his back and pulled out a robe and smiled as he pulled scarlett closer to himself then waited until no one was looking and quickly covered htem both up. "They won't see us now under my invisibility cloak" he whispered to her

Scarlett was a little shocked when Remy through his cloak over them. She blushed hotly because he probably could have gotten them past the guards outside too. "Guess I didn't need to bat my lashes out there huh?" Scarlett whispered. "I forgot you have an invisibility cloak."

Remy grinned at scarlett and nodded his head "yea i guess i could have but then i would have missed you using your amazing skills" he said softly then closed his eyes. There was someting about scarlett that was different and he smiled. He made his way past the guard and into the secret room where he saw a strange object. "know waht that is" he asked scarlett.

Walking so closely to Remy Scarlett had good view of his face. She watched strange expressions flicker there and when his eyes closed hers narrowed. His smile made the bottom drop out of her stomach.

Scarlett was happy for the distraction when Remy seemed to spot something on the floor. She peered at it. "I have no idea Remy. I have never seen anything like it."

Remy smiled as he walked over to the tarp covered item and took it off "ta da" he said happily as he looked at a pile of pillows and blankets. "darn i thought it was going to be something cool but have no doubt before this day is over your going to say oh my gawd remy" he said confidently. He then walked over to a small rock and pushed it in revealing a secret compartment "come on scar theres a mummy's tomb down here they havent discovered yet" he said happily as he took off into the dark hall.

Scarlett made a note of where the pillows and blankets were located. She was an absolute nightmare when she was tired. Her bouts of crankiness known to devastate entire communities. And if they were going to explore a mummy’s tomb they might be here long enough to need a nap.

Remy’s words puzzled her a bit and she said, “I hope when I say ‘oh my god Remy,’ it’s not followed by ‘there is a mummy standing behind you.’ I wonder if there will be treasure down there like there was in the last tomb we saw.”

Scarlett was on Remy’s heels as he disappeared into the darkness.

Remy laughed "yea i hope that's not the whole sentence either" in response to scarlett. He took his wand and with a few simple words made it light up as a torch. He turned back to look at scarlett "i don't know if any treasure will be found down at the bottom but to be honest im expecting anything, anything at all" he finished

The torch in Remy's hand rimmed his face with an orangy glow and Scarlett found herself wishing that the fire wasn't so close to his head. Scarlett could tell that there was a lot of product in his hair and she was afraid it might catch. She sighed and wondered if she would ever get over he fear of fire. "I'm expectin' bugs, but I'm really hopin' there's no rats."

bic: Remy heard a bit of rumbling and moved his wand closer to the ground and saw that the noise was coming from a few rats running along the corridor. His shock made him yank his wand close to his hair which instantly lit up. He began running around with his hair lit up on fire his usual calmness gone as he wondered what was going to happen next.

It had happened. Just as she had been afraid it would, Remy's hair was on fire. :firedevil: "Oh my god Remy, your hair is on fire," Scarlett screamed. She was absolutly more horrified than she had ever been, but she knew she didn't have time to freeze up. She was pathetice when it came to water charm she knew that wouldn't work. "Accio Pillow!" she called and just as she had on another occasion Scarlett summoned all the pillows to her though she only need one. She caught it and pushed Remy to the ground smothering the flames around his head with the pillow.

Remy smiled as his hair stopped being on fire and he looked at scarlett "thank you so much scarlett that was awesome" he said as he ran his fingers through his hair and smiled as it was all there and not a thing was wrong with it. "did i ever tell you about the time i was sick and dream stayed with me all night and took care of me" he began "dream is so awesome i bet your so glad that she's your prefect huh? he asked scarlett.

When the flames seemed to be out Scarlett removed the pillow from Remy’s head. She was surprised to see that he still had all his hair, but she shrugged it off as being true the old adage, you can’t keep a good ‘do down. “You’re very welcome. Maybe we should just use regular wand lights from now on even though the torch added to the ambiance.” Scarlett didn’t care for open flames and was quite surprised she had been able to summon the courage to even go near Remy when he was on fire. Maybe she was overcoming her fear.

All of a sudden Remy started talking about how great Dream was. Scarlett tended to agree, but she was puzzled by the change of subject. Then she realized she was still sitting on Remy’s chest, which had been the best perch to put out the flames on his head. She scrambled up quickly, blushing furiously. “Yeah Dream is the best,” Scarlett stammered facing the wall.

Remy nodded his head "yep dream is awesome and speaking of awesome i love your outfit i wonder if they make smaller sizes? my wife has such a small perfect body dont you think" he said with a great big smile on his face "and don't get me started on her flying skills why she might turn pro in quidditch one day" he continued.

Scarlett looked down at her black dress now dusted with cobwebs. She sighed a little forlornly. She should have known that date had been a very loose term when it came to Remy. Thinking about clothing eased Scarlett’s embarrassment somewhat and she laughed when she heard Remy ask if the dress Scarlett was wearing came in a smaller size. As a matter fact it didn’t, Scarlett knew because she had tried to get it in a smaller size, but had had to have this one altered to fit her instead. And if Dream had tried to wear Scarlett’s size in clothing she would have been a tad underdressed. Dream was a full grown full blooded human woman and Scarlett was a sixteen-year-old part fairy girl. It was like comparing apples to oranges. She looked up at Remy and grinned, but sometimes guys did stupid things like needlessly comparing two women. “I am sure Dream would look beautiful in this dress, in the correct size of course as she flew circles around me and anyone else silly enough to challenge her. Maybe we can find something pretty down in this tomb to take back to her,” Scarlett suggested as she lit her wand and headed further into the darkness.

Remy smiled as he heard scarlett and nodded "yea im sure we'll find something nice there but i dont think dream needs anything she's pretty enough as it is dont you think" he said as he looked at scarlett. "she should be a model or something but im too jealous to let her do that but then again if dream was yours im sure you'd feel the same way right? he asked her.

It was too much and Scarlett just had to laugh. The peels of her laughter echoed down the stone hallway. “If Dream were mine-“ but whatever Scarlett was going to say was lost in the wing beats of thousands of bats that had been disturbed by her laughter. They came flapping and screeching up the hallway in thick wave of leathery wings. Having had quite a bit of experience with bats, Scarlett fell to ground crying, “Remy get down, they’ll get tangled in your hair!”

Remy nodded his head as he got down on his knees and watched the bats fly over him. "i really hate bats but you know who doesnt hate bats....dream i guess that was why she roomed with mark for so long. Dream loves all kinds of animals i guess i should be glad of that she really is so awesome i mean she's so outgoing and so courageous but gentle and caring at the same time i don't know how she does it but i am so glad she does" he said smiling.

“That’s it!” Scarlett said as she climbed to her feet. She grabbed the singed pillow that she had saved Remy’s hair with and threw it at him. “I never pegged Dream as the kind of woman to keep a man around just to be a reflectin’ pool for her greatness, but I guess that is all there is to you, Remy Salinas!”
Scarlett lit her wand and began to follow the bats up toward the light. She had had enough of this date.

Remy watched as scarlett walked away from him and he smiled as he ran after her. "hey you walk away just like dream well not really i mean dream got more sway in her hips but not everyone has such a perfect body so i wont hold it against you" he said as he caught up to her. "where you going our date is just beginning dont you want to have an awesome adventure......dream sure loves having awesome adventures but she has no fear that one she really is a gryffindor" he said smiling at scarlett.

For a moment Scarlett just stared at Remy. She didn’t set a whole lot of store by the smartness of a person, but she could hardly believe that Remy hadn’t understood what she had just told him. She believed she had spoken plainly enough, yet he continued to blither on about Dream. Her eyes flashed a fiery emerald as she endeavored to make her self more clear. “I do want to have an adventure, but I am tired of being compared to Dream. You don’t think I know how great she is? I live in her shadow everyday. She is the greatest Gryffy girl to ever be: prettiest, bravest, meanest, most powerful person in our house. I know you love her. That’s great. I couldn’t be happier for the two of you. I love her too, she is my best friend here. But this my date and I am tired of constantly hearing how great she is. So if that is all you have to talk about then I am goin’ home.”

Remy stared at scarlett and let her finish and then grinned "are you ok? i don't know how your other dates have gone but its not really cool to talk about other people you know" he said as he shook his head. "i guess we can scratch of mummies from our schedule" he said as he smiled. He grabbed scarlett and smiled "lets practice apparating"

Scarlett stared at Remy in stark disbelief. But then she remembered who she was dealing with and knew there was no point in arguing so she just began to laugh.

When he made his suggestion Scarlett held up her hand to hold him off. “I will go with you if you promise not to nip off any of my parts, but I can’t practice. I know I will never be able to do it and I don’t fancy getting’ squelched or whatever it is you folks call it.”

Remy nodded his head and walked over to scarlett and grabbed her hand then held on tight as he and her were instantly transported to an small meadow. He grinned and looked over at scarlett and pointed at a small cloth set on the floor and smiled "let's go get a bite to eat" he said happily.

Scarlett hated the feeling of apparating. She always felt like something was squeezing the life out of her for having the nerve to not buy a plane ticket. But it was over very quickly and the sun felt wonderful on her skin. No more creepy tomb although she was kind of sad about all the glittery sparkle that could have been down there. Her sadness was erased when she the blanket and basket of food. She dropped Remy’s hand and moved to see what it held.

There were tiny peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and grapes, and hotdogs, and little debbie cakes, and kool aid. Scarlett laughed as she helped herself to some of everything. “You packed this yourself didn’t you Remy?”

Remy looked at scarlett with a great big smile on his face and he nodded his head up and down. "yep i sure did well most of it i did all the hard work but i had help from some house elves with the easy stuff" he said not bothering to say waht the easy part of the lunch was or for that matter what the hard part had been. "lets eat before the food spoils" he laughed.

Scarlett was already way ahead of Remy on the eating part. She was thoughtfully chewing a twinkie and thinking of how much she missed the processed food of the muggle world. “House Elves are such funny little creatures. I have only ever seen a couple of them. How do you keep them secret from muggles?” That question had always bothered Scarlett though she supposed the answer could be a simple as a memory charm for any muggle who happened to spot one.
