Title: Turning back time
Description: *INVITE ONLY*

doratheauror - February 20, 2008 04:13 AM (GMT)
Melie was pacing back and forth in one of the courtyards waiting for her friends to arrive. She had been bored in the dorm and Melie and Mark had come up with the idea of a little outing with a couple of their friends. She fiddle with the two necklace chains around her neck, the necklace that she had gotten from Liam for Christmas, and the fine chain from the time-turner. Melie pulled the time-turner out from underneath her red hoody and looked at it. It looked like a normal hour glass pendant that could spin, but the chain could elongate to accommate several people in it, and once the hour glass spun it would send them all back in time.
"Come on guys," Melie muttered to herself and sat down hard on a nearby bench impatiently.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - February 20, 2008 03:04 PM (GMT)
Mark wandered down to the courtyard he had arranged to meet Melie at, slightly surprised that none of the others had got there yet. "So..." he started at Melie as he approached, "...have you told the others what they're getting themselves into yet?" he asked with a grin. The library here at hogwarts was full of book documenting tales from the times Voldemort had tried to make a comeback and Mark couldnt wait to see what it would actually be like to experience it first hand.

doratheauror - February 20, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
Melie smiled when she saw Mark, she had thought that he would be the last one to arrive.
"Nah, why spoil the suprise?" Melie said with a sly grin. They had been up in the dorm discussing how far back they should go when Mark had had the best idea and Melie had completely agreed with him, what would have been better than going back to when Voldemort had just come back. Melie was excited to get this trip started and wondered when the rest of their group would show up. She hadn't wanted too many people to come, it could have possibly become too hard to keep track of everyone if they were a large group. "I wis that they would hurry up already."

{Liam_McCallister} - February 21, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Liam stood with his back against a wall, peaking cautiously around the door. It was after curfew now, and he was a bit late for an outing with some of the other Gryffindors. He wouldn't have been late, but for a misunderstanding between himself and the caretaker regarding an Ever-Bashing Boomerang and one of the trophy cases on the third floor. It had been a complete and total accident, but the caretaker had done a good job chewing him out. The only thing that seemed to have saved him was some sort of explosion from the kitchens. Now he figured that the old codger had cleared that up and discovered that he was missing. It was times like this he wished he had an Invisibility Cloak, but for now, a Dis-Illusionment Charm would have to suffice. He listened intently for footsteps around the entrance hall, and when he heard nothing, launched himself out of the doorway. He crossed the hall quicker than he could ever remember, and made it out into the courtyard.

He heaved a sigh of relief, and saw Melie and Mark already out there. Breaking the charm, he walked over to them, kissing Mel on the cheek.

"Alright sweetheart, I made it. Barely, but I am here. What are we up to?"

ladeeknight - February 21, 2008 03:44 AM (GMT)
Scarlett had been trying to get down to the court yard for the past half hour, but Liam and Filch were blocking her way down. She figured they'd both lose the chance to go on whatever outing Melie had planned if she didn't do something. She checked her map and saw that there was a hungry Hufflepuff headed to the kitchens. Scarlett, newly on good terms with Bella again sent the cat off to scare the daylights out of the Hufflepuff to see what kind of a ruckus could be raised. Sure it was a little mean, but sometimes these things couldn't be helped. Scarlett was sure the Huff would recover eventually.

When the clanging commensed and Filch moved off to see what it was Scarlett followed after Liam. He uses a disallusionment charm but since she had seen disapear she could sort of make him out. She kept to the shadows herself flitting gracefully from one inky pool to the next. She had been watching Bella do it for years and was pretty good at it.

Finally she arrived in the court yard with her friends. "Sorry I'm late y'all. I had to save Liam from detention," Scarlett flashed him a mischevious grin and made a motion that somewhat resembled tossing a boomerang.

dreamdancer7699 - February 25, 2008 06:56 AM (GMT)
Dream ran out of the Forbidden Forest with Embers racing after her. She looked down at her wrsit and glared spitefully at the watch resting there. "There's no way that I'm late! This stupid watch! It did it on purpose! I set the damn alarm!" she fumed. She had done nothing but regret buying the stupid muggle watch, and she was going to have a great time giving Remy hell for talking her into having one the next time that she saw him. She was completely out of breath and her hair had fallen out of it's ponytail by the time she reached the meeting place that Melie and Mark had told her to meet them at. When she got there, she just looked at the others silently and tried to catch her breath. She looked at Embers meaningfully and the wolf cub immediately took off towards the Gryffindor Tower.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - February 28, 2008 01:33 AM (GMT)
Mark grinned at the other three when they finally arrived with their excuses. "Yeah, well i assumed something must have happened when i was the first one here!" he joked to hem all. "ok, well i cant wait so lets get going!" Mark said unable to contain his excitement. He still wasnt sure if the other knew what he and Melie had planned but he wanted to get the trip going straight away.
"Ok Melie, its on you." he said nodding towards the Time turner around her neck.

doratheauror - February 28, 2008 02:31 AM (GMT)
Melie saw her friends starting to arrive and she started to get excited. "Well its about time guys," Melie said giving Liam a quick kiss back. "I was thinking it was only going to be me and Mark on this little adventure."
She stood up from the bench and pulled the time turner over her head. "Well. As you all know, I got this," she held the time turner up for her friends to see. "recently and have yet had the chance to use it. Mark and I, bored as usual, came up with a little field trip for the 5 of us to take using the time turner. It took us forever to come up with an idea as to where to go, but we finally did. How does everyone feel about taking a trip back to Hogwarts, about, oh I don't know, 12 years ago?" Melie asked looking at her three friends who had no clue where they were going.

ladeeknight - February 28, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
"Sounds great to me," said Scarlett. She had read some really interesting histoy books about Hogwarts, but the dates of those events had always confused her so she had no idea what she was agreeing to. "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it," she assured Melie with fine Griffindor boldness.

dreamdancer7699 - February 28, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
Dream frowned at Mark's comment. She hadn't said a word yet but he seemed to think that something had happened to her. It was really getting uncanny at how well he was starting to read her. Obviously they spent way too much time together now that they lived together and were on the same team together. Dream was almost surprised that Mark wasn't on the cheerleading squad considering that he followed her everywhere else. She was about make a sarcastic comment but then Melie's words caught her attention. "Oh that's a good idea, Melie Bean!" she said in admiration. "Think of all the trouble we could find ourselves back in those days!"

{Liam_McCallister} - March 3, 2008 04:00 PM (GMT)
Liam gave Mel a small roguish grin when she kissed him back, his eyes, emerald green, glittering at the thought of doing something adventurous. He looked around him, and honestly couldn't have asked for better friends to bring on this sort of adventure. Mel, Scarlett, Dream, and Mark. Who could ask for better fellow trouble-makers than that. He heard Mel go on about the Time-Turner and going back to twelve years prior at Hogwarts, and his eyes lit up. Not only were they going on some sort of crazy trip, but it was through time itself!

"Well, you don't even need to ask me. I'm in 100% of the way," he said, tossing a few loose strands of scarlet hair back behind his ear. "Since we're all present and accounted for, shall we be off?"

doratheauror - March 4, 2008 12:34 PM (GMT)
ooc: I'm going to godmode everyone arriving at the same time otherwise it'll take FOREVER to get there

Melie was glad to hear her friends were all interested in going along with her and Mark. She told them all to stand close and she extended the chain around everyone. She quickly turned the hour glass for what seemed like a million turns and then finally she looked up and saw a slightly different Hogwarts infront of her. This is so much more relaxing traveling by time turner than by port key or the floo network, Melie thought to herself. She stood there for a minute looking at the old Hogwarts, before all the damage had happened and there had to be renovations due to the war. There were gargoyles on the castle, but different ones, and the windows werent exactly the same, but it was still Hogwarts which meant that it was still her home.
"So where shall we start?" Melie asked excitedly to her friends but mostly Mark, it was the two of them that had come up with the idea and he had some say in it as well.

ladeeknight - March 4, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Scarlett looked around in wordless wonder. She had known the castle had gone through an extensive remodel after the war, but looking at the old Hogwarts Scarlett began to appreciate the damage that must have been done in the battle. Scarlett was so absorbed in gawking at the castle she did even hear Melie’s question.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - March 6, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
After afew seconds of extremely fast time reversal Mark found himself stood in the court yard of a signifficantly different Hogwarts. For some reason he found it even more enchanting and serence that the verison he was used to. "Our parents were lucky." he said gazing round at the original battlements and windows of the castle. He took afew steps over to the main doors and smiled; even the brass knocker was different.
"Time to step into the unknown i guess." he said to the rest of the group with a wink. He well knew that Harry Potter was somewhere behind these doors and if the stories about him were true he would probably be causing trouble; perfect. :P

ladeeknight - March 6, 2008 03:24 AM (GMT)
Scarlett managed to snap out of her reverie when she heard Mark's voice. He'd said that our parents were lucky. Scarlett's parents had not attended Hogwarts as children, but she had recently found out that her Dad had been a teacher here before she was born. Scarlett wondered what would happen if she stood in the shed beside the little garden out on the grounds with Melie and the time turner...

Scarlett shook herself out of her daze. Those were thoughts for another time. Mark was right. The unknown was right beyond the familar door with the slightly different knocker. It was a little surreal. Scarlett deflected the uncomfortable feeling it gave her by falling back into habit, she flutter her eyelashes and asked, "Which one of you gentlemen is gonna get the door?"

doratheauror - March 6, 2008 03:56 AM (GMT)
Melie grinned at the others and then headed towards the door, it looked almost the same, yet quite different. She had a feeling that most of this trip was going to be like that. Melie rolled her eyes when she heard Scarlett asking wether Mark or Liam was going to open the door.
"Scar, look who you're talking to, we'll be standing out here until next year if you're gonna wait on one of them," Melie said with a laugh and wink. She opened the door and it made a loud squeek and Melie jumped slightly, not expecting, their door didn't squeek. She giggled from the nerves and slipped through the door. "Come on guys, theres so much to see, lets not waste time standing around, I want to find Harry!"

ladeeknight - March 6, 2008 10:57 PM (GMT)
Scarlett laughed merrily at Melie’s joke, one that she made often herself. The sound of her own laughter banished the weirdness that had been crawling in the pit of Scarlett’s stomach. She followed Melie through the door and began scanning the area for a boy with wild black hair and glasses.

{Liam_McCallister} - March 10, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
Liam was a little dizzy from the time travel, but it was a much nicer sensation than Portkeys or Floo Powder. He looked around, and his jaw dropped. He loved Hogwarts as it was in his time, but this was just amazing. The castle looked somehow grander than it did in the present, but he reasoned that that could've just been the wonder factor from travelling through time. His mind quickly flew off to all the people that he could meet in this time period, all the names that were almost legends back home. He brought himself back down to earth quickly, listening to his friends talk about finding Harry. He was interested to meet the Boy Who Lived too after all.

"Well, it certainly is different than what we're used to. But, that hasn't bothered us yet. And besides, I've always wondered if Draco Malfoy really did look like that much of a pansy." He was smiling in that half-manic, half-excited way again. which could be good or bad, depending on who you ask.

dreamdancer7699 - March 10, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)
Dream was uncharacteristically silent as she went along with the group. She was more than a little nervous about being back at this place in time. She had been a first year herself in this time, and depending on how far back Melie took them, ther was a chance that she would see herself or Remy there. She really hoped to avoid that from happening. She really wasn't sure that she should have come on this particular trip because she didn't want to mess anything up for anyone else.

ladeeknight - March 13, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
Once they were all inside Scarlett brought out her map. “There’s no reason to leave findin’ Harry up to chance,” she said grinning to the others. She took out her wand and intoned, “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” And tapped the map with her wand. Lines shot out from the center of the map and began forming Hogwarts. Little dots popped into place wearing names and scurrying about their business. “Ok y’all help me find Harry.” Scarlett held out the map so that her fellow Gryffy’s could see it.

{Liam_McCallister} - April 1, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
Liam looked over the map, trying to find the little black dot labeled "Harry Potter." He was always fascinated by this map, thinking that the Marauders were both great wizards and fantastic mischief-makers. He mentally took his hat off to such fine role models.

"Hey guys, isn't it some sort of weird paradox that we've got the Marauder's Map here, but there's definitely another one up in Gryffindor Tower? I wonder if we show up on there, considering we're out of our own time period..." he trailed off on that thought. Then another question popped into his mind. "Are we going to try and pass off as Hogwarts students for this? We're not exactly on any of the class rolls, or even the House." He wasn't worried, just curious about their situation.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - April 2, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
Mark listened to Liams questions about how they would pass themselves off as student in this time period. "I say we cross that bridge when we come to it!" he said with a grin as he scanned the map infront of them for a famous name.
After afer second there seemed to be a whole group of recognisable figures walking backwards and forward on the second floor. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger. "Look there they are." As soon as he pointed it out to the other the name tags dissapeared. "The room of requirement!" Mark said loking at Melie with a grin on his face. "This could get interesting!"

doratheauror - April 2, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
Melie was trying to look over Mark's shoulder at the map to find Harry when she saw his name at the same time Mark said he was in the room of requirement. Melie gave a grin when Mark said that it was going to get interesting.
"Well naturally Marky," Melie said as she started to lead the way to the room. "But please, for the sake of my low gag reflex tolerance, don't get all moony over Hermione Granger, that's something that I just don't need to see." Melie shot him a smirk and continued on her way.

ladeeknight - April 2, 2008 04:13 AM (GMT)
"Come on Melie, your eyes are turning green," Scarlett said rolling up the map. "Let's go to the ROR and everyone try to think of what they might be doin'. If it is the Dark Art trrainin' we might be able to pass off as people who randomly got invited." She head up the stairway to the ROR.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - April 2, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Mark had been thinking exactly the same as Scarlett at this moment in time. "Yeah if weve come back to when me and Melie planned then i think it will be the dark arts training!" he said unable to contain his excitment. The secret meeting of the DA were still legerdary around Hogwarts and Mark couldnt wait to experience it all first hand!

Mark then blushed slightly at Melies comment. It was true he had always had a bit of a crush on Hermione Granger, even Emma knew this. He had seen her at the minastry back in their time, although she was in her twenty's there and Mark had wondered what she would be like at thier age.

"Errr, ive got no idea what your on about..." he replied brushing her comment aside as he shuffled through the front door and made his way towards the steps.
"So when we get there we just say we heard about the meeting and really want to join! Its a big school hopefully they'll think nothing of not ever seeing us before!" he told the other waiting for them all to catch up.

{Liam_McCallister} - April 3, 2008 05:08 AM (GMT)
Liam listened to the others chat, chuckling inwardly at Mark's obvious crush on Hermione Granger, and his rather poor attempt at concealing. Half-hearted really. Then he heard something that made him slightly nervous.

"Big school or not mate," he said to Mark, "some of us stand out a bit more than others." He gestured to his hair and goggles, considering them the features that people caught on to the most. Nevertheless, he followed his friends through the doors and up the stairs towards the Room of Requirement. He was nervous considering he figured that someone in this time period might realize that he wasn't a regular student, but it mingled with excitement. Some of his favorite stories of Hogwarts were about Dumbledore's Army, heroes after his own heart. He was eager to get involved as well. He thought that he might even pick up something from the living legend himself, Harry Potter.

"Just think guys," he said as they climbed the stairs, "twelve years from now, Argus Filch will hate my guts. But now, he doesn't know any better. If only I could pull one over on the old Squib while we were here. Back in our time he'll think he's mad. Although I think he might be already, so it kinda does in the whole plan. Ah well," he said quietly, "One less mischief I can make while I'm here."

ladeeknight - April 3, 2008 03:39 PM (GMT)
As Scarlett continued to climb towards the ROR she heard Liam’s hopeful musings. “We can’t spend all our time watching Harry Liam. I will help you find Filch and we’ll do a number on him.” Scarlett had never forgiven the hateful old man for measuring the length of her skirt. She was more than willing cause some havoc in his life.

{Liam_McCallister} - April 7, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
"Thanks Scarlett. I've always wanted to pull a good prank on the prat. It's tougher back home since I can actually get in trouble for going after him. But here..." he trailed off, the mischievous part of his brain going to work on all the possible classics he could think of, plus thinking of something new and particularly devious for the number one roadblock to his pranking fun.

Liam barely realized when he had crested the staircase that led to the corridor where the Room of Requirements was hidden. He looked around at the rest of his friends.

"So ladies and gents, shall we carry on? Musn't leave heroes waiting right?"

doratheauror - April 12, 2008 05:15 PM (GMT)
Melie walked down the hall and made her way in front of the door for the Room of Requirements, or where the door would be once it appeared for them. Just then she had a thought.
"Will it appear for us do you think? So that we can get in? Technically we arent Hogwarts students....technically we're like 2 years right now," Melie said to her friends. She continued to look at the door and thought to herself I need the room where Dumbledore's Army holds their practice and Melie stood there hopeing that the door would appear.

ladeeknight - April 12, 2008 10:29 PM (GMT)
"Dang Melie, with thinking like that someone would think you were raised a muggle. Just beieve that it will open and it will." Scarlett paced in front of the door requiring a private secret room to practice the dark arts in. She turned all her considerable will on requiring it paceing back and forth and soon a door appeared.

{Liam_McCallister} - April 13, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
"I think we'll be alright Mel. The teachers and house-elves use the room all the time, and they're not students either. At least, that seems like the logical way to go about it." He walked past the tapestry of the old wizard trying to teach trolls to dance and thought as he turned around: 'We need a place to learn to defend ourselves away from where people can find us.' Then he was struck by another shocking thought.

"Hey guys, I just realized someone else who's here. Dolores Umbridge. Think that could be a problem?"

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - April 13, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
Mark had followed his friends up the starway and along the second floor corridor in silence. He was so taken aback at how much everything had changed over the years. He guessed it had taken some pretty severe redecoration to repatch the place after the last great battle that had taken place here between the death eaters and the order.

His concentration was draggen begrudginly back to reality by the sudden appearance of the door to the Room of Requirements. "Good job" he said to the group in general as he had been os distracted he hadnt even noticed who had been the one to conjure it.
Liam then turned the conversation to Umbridge. "Umbridge?" Mark repeated with a tone of disgust in his voice. "Whats that old toad gonna do to four kids who arnt technically registered to the school?" he spat as something in the corner of his eye caught his sattention.

"Mrs Norris?" he said as his eyes opened wide. The caretakers cat had snook up on them and was bound to sound the alarm to the old codjer Filch anythime soon. "Come on guys we gotta hurry inside before he gets here!" he said and as he finished he turned ot the door and rushed inside.

Mark had only taken two steps inside the room when he looked up and saw a wand been pointed directly under his chin. He looked to the owner and saw it was Hermione Granger.

"Who are you? and what are you doing here?" She said in a thretaning tone.

Mark was momantarily frozen by a mixture of intimidation and admitation. "Errrrrr" Mark began to stutter. "Im home schooled but i heard about your group and really wondered if i could join?" he asked thanking the gods for a moment of inspirational quick thinking. "I've got a couple of friends who should be here soon too." he said waiting for the rest of them to come crashing through.

doratheauror - April 14, 2008 03:08 AM (GMT)
Melie heard Mark say Mrs. Norris and was confused for a second and them remembered the cat. Quickly following behind Mark she went into the room of requirement looking behind her to make sure that Liam and Scarlett were coming when she ran directly into Mark and fell to the ground.
"Mark! What do you think you're doing just stopping like.....that," Melie faded off as she looked around and saw Hermione with her wand drawn. Melie saw a flash of ginger hair and Ron Weasley was standing next to Hermione, his wand ready, pointed at Melie. She took a gulp and started to sit up, but as she went to stand Ron took a step forward.
"Don't move," He said, trying to look tougher than he was. Melie stared at him.
"But I just want to stand up," Melie said giving him the best I want you to think I'm scared but I'm really not look she could muster.

ladeeknight - April 14, 2008 03:39 PM (GMT)
Scarlett heard a bit of stammering from Mark and a deeper voice telling Melie not to move, but with Mrs. Norris coming down the hallway that was simply not an option. “Get your great bulks out of the doorway or we’re all cooked Scarlett said as she scrambled out of the hallway trying to remain unseen. She stepped over Melie, but there was no way she could move Mark so she squeezed in behind him. She came face to face with eyes as green as her own framed by hair just as thick and black, but not nearly as well managed. “And just where d’you think you’re going?” he asked Scarlett.
Not being raised on the glorious tale of Harry Potter, Scarlett wasn’t as star struck as her companions. “I’m gettin’ out of that hall way full of tattling cat. And if you don’t want to be caught and expelled you’ll call off your friends so the rest of mine can get in before Mrs.Norris brings Filch down on us all.” Scarlett spoke respectfully to Harry, but her soft drawl had an edge to it brought on by real fear of changing the past.

doratheauror - April 21, 2008 01:00 PM (GMT)
OoC: I have permission to godmode Liam *if some of you didn't know already lol*

BiC: Melie waited a second before going to stand up and she heard and saw Scarlett come into the room, Harry Potter quick to be by his friends' sides wand in her face. Melie stood and dusted her hands off on her jeans just as Liam ran through the door and slammed it behind him and he came in, running into Melie. She turned to glance at him quickly and then turned back to Ron, her hand itching for her wand, but deciding against it.
"Oi! What are you four up to?!" Ron asked when he saw Liam enter the room.
"Look, we know what you have going on here, and we want to be a part of it, we want to help fight. We're good, and we work hard and learn quick," Melie tried explaining, almost saying "we're gryffindors, its what we do" but she knew that wouldnt go over too well.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - April 22, 2008 12:47 AM (GMT)
Mark took his eyes off Hermione (as hard as he found it) long enough to look around as his other friends entered the room behind him. They all spluttered their own excuses for being there and the exsisting DA looked at each other, silentily deciding weather to believe the four of them or not.

"What do you rekon?" Ron hissed from the corner of his mouth to Harry.

"Honestly..." Mark continued "....we're all home schooled but as soon as we found out about the meetings we just had to come. And we cant be all that useless if we managed to get in here right?" he said returning his gaze to Hermione, grinning and blushing slightly.
He moved his foot backwards and kicked the door closed, making sure Filch wouldnt find them if that pesky cat managed to alert him of thier presence.

ladeeknight - April 22, 2008 02:44 AM (GMT)
Scarlett thought it was all over when she heard Melie say they were Gryffindors. They were supposed to be home schooled. But the trio didn't seem to worried about that and mark's smooth talking at least got them all in the door. Scarlett felt if she could keep the trio talking until the rest fo DA showed up then they would get to stay for the whole meeting. "So what are we gonna learn tonight?" Scarlett asked Harry flashing him her most disarming smile.

{Liam_McCallister} - June 1, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
Seeing Ron Weasley pointing his wand at his girlfriend, Liam was overtaken by the sudden urge to hex him into next week, but refrained. They had all managed to get in, and between them they had managed to smooth talk their way in. Listening to Scarlett charm Harry into getting into the lesson, Liam could not help but be impressed. That was true talent, he thought to himself. He straightened himself up and looked at Ron.

"Name's Liam McCallister," he said, offering a hand. Ron, after a moment's look of suspicion, grasped his hand and shook it. "So," Liam said, sliding his hand into Melie's after taking a step back from Ron, "I'm with Scarlett here, what are we going to learn tonight anyways?" He noticed how thick his accent was and then considered the fact that Seamus Finnegan, one of the other fighters here, was also Irish and wondered for a moment whether or not they would come into contact. He had always kind of admired the other's stubborn resolve, or so he read about in the books. Pushing the thought aside he focused on Harry, wondering what they were going to learn this evening.

doratheauror - June 1, 2008 11:50 PM (GMT)
Melie stared at Mark and his bumbling for a moment, this was not the time to be acting like a fool. She rolled her eyes slightly, filing this moment away in her mind, to use for ammunition with Mark at a later date, either to tease him, or to threaten to tell Emma if she wanted something from Mark. Melie gave a sweet smile to Ron, ready to flirt her way through the situation if need be, when Liam took her hand. Well there goes that idea Melie thought with a laugh. She knew that Liam was protective of her, always had been, and she was pretty sure he always would be, and she didn't mind one bit.
Tentatively she took a step forward, into the room more. She saw Hermione give her a warning look, which Melie completely ignored. Instead she smiled at Harry and Ron.
"What have you been learning tonight anyways? Anything fun?" Melie asked excitedly.
"Fun? You think learning spells to defend ourselves against a mad woman and you know who is fun?" Hermione asked her, slightly angry. Melie stared at the other girl, wondering what to say.
"Umm....yes?" Melie asked weakly, glancing back at the others, willing them to say something to change the subject.

ladeeknight - June 3, 2008 06:24 PM (GMT)
“Oh Hermione relax,” said Harry, “they’re new. They don’t know any better. Er that is to say,” Harry looked a little embarrassed at his misspeak.

“What’r you lookin’ at mate?” Ron’s tone as he glared at Mark drooling over Hermione led no one to believe he actually considered Mark any sort of friend.

Scarlett smiled reassuringly at Harry and fluttered her lashes just a bit at Ron hoping that Hermione would not take offense, though her eyes mostly blazed at Melie. “We are a little wet behind the ears. Maybe if the lesson started we could catch up.”

“Uh yeah,” Harry said quickly noting that the situation could turn bad at any moment. Scarlett smiled at him. He really was an excellent leader. He blushed a bit at her smile and coughed, “Um yeah so we were working on Patronuses. It might be a bit advanced for you lot, but you can watch and learn and practice.”

“That sounds just fine,” Scarlett said. She moved further into the room and lined up with the rest of the DADA who were craning their necks to see the new comers.
