Just wondering who has an account?

I would go adding all you's that have an account, but the pc I'm using is super-slow, and my dad has the laptop, but he's in England, sooo... Yeah.
I have Facebook. Do you?

Maybe we could create a LC Fourm Facebook group? Get more members and stuff (ha, says me).

Excellent idea. I know lots of fan sites that have facebook groups, myspace and stuff like that. I have facebook too. But you all will have to educate me about the other HP groups that have them. I suppose I could search but...yeah. Excellent idea. I'd love to start a facebook for us.

Not to put a damper on things, but there are some serious issues about data mining and identity theft with Facebook.

According to the Wikipedia entry about Facebook (see Section 10: Privacy), Facebook claims the right to supplement a user's info with info from other sources, as well as the right to give or sell that info to other parties. Also, even if you cancel your account, Facebook can keep your info on their servers indefinitely. I think that's a bit disturbing.

Perhaps there are other sites that would be safer, but I don't know.

I haven't had any problems. Neither have my friends (that being said, I probably will have problems).

Same here, I've been using it for a while now and I don't have any problems, if you put your profile on private so that only your friends can see it, then you shouldn't really have any problems. and if you add people who aren't your friends well then you do it at your own risk. Plus you don't have to put anything in your profile if you don't want.

No Mark, a group hasn't been created. I don't know where Rouge is. And I think that he should create it seeing as it is for his forum.

I'm right here Sardine, always will be. :) I'd love to creat it, but I'm not sure how.

If so, on the left hand side you'll see a panel with "Search, Friends, Groups etc". Click on the "Groups" link, and you'll be taken to a page. I forget what said page looks like, but you'll be able to start a group from there.

And what is your name on Facebook?

i have accounts on all those type places, myspace, netlog the lot . . . nvr used 'em though :lol: don't see the point. my friends only use them for stalking and abusing people they think are pedo's and for starting wars with emo's. they're easily amused methinks

I think that is a wonderful idea and we should also do that on Bebo to as there may be people on there.I am on there and I can be like the bebo recruiter I can go to all the Harry Potter groups and tell them about it I already told 1 person the other day

I think it should be something that stands out to be obviously 'us'. There must be loads of HP groups and what have you on there already. I suggest Rogue's Leaky Cauldron
