If you are talking about some other kind of numbers next to the box, then I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Sorry.

no. i mean the box of the wand.

There shouldn't be numbers there. But once you go to Diagon Alley and set up your vault, you can go and buy a wand along with other supplies. Once you have bought a wand, and or a broom, then you can go to edit your profile and select the type of wand that you purchased so it shows up under your name. Did that help? O.o

:P
I agree with Shonk. I don't have an official wand replica, so I can't be 100% sure, but that's probably what it is. Or the wand model or something.

are you sure it's a serial number? i'm just asking.

No we aren't sure. We can't see the box that you are talking about. Have you tried asking someone that you know in person? Who can see what you're looking at?

look at this picture. then you'll know what i'm talking about.

I'm not exactly sure, but it does look like a code of authenticity which would be aka a serial number. What did it say on the packaging that it came in?

I think it's actually a model/type number. Or just a sticker to show that it's real and not a copy. It's not a serial number, though.
Ok, I checked Alivans and Google 'Harry Potter wands'. I think it might be to show how many of that specific wand has been made. Here's a bigger picture:
http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images...potter-wand.jpgSo, 963 of that specific wand have been made.
It's difficult to tell though; I can't find any pictures big enough to see the numbers. It could also be a sticker of authenticity.
http://www.tritex-games.co.uk/images/harrypotter8.jpg^Judging from that picture, they all appear to have different numbers. Maybe contact Alivans or even the people over at Mugglenet?

if you remeber in the sorcerer's stone movie all of those boxes had these numbers to. let me know if you find anything else.
Sardine - February 12, 2008 04:16 PM (GMT)
They did? Hmmm... I didn't really pay attention to the detail.
Well, if that is the case, they might just be there to copy the boxes from Sorcer's Stone. You know? For the people who do look at the little details.
I'll hunt some more later; I've got a lot of work to do these next few days.
