Sil hesitated, wondering jsut how to put what he was feeling into words without sounding crazy. Then again, wasn't sounding crazy part and parcel of being a Seer? Not for the first time, and probably not the last either, he cursed his so called gift.

"I'm sorry, Professor Rogue, sir," he said haltingly. "Ordinarily I wouldn't trouble you over something so silly as nightmares. Only... Only I don't think they are silly, Professor; and I don't really think they're nightmares.

"It doesn't just happen when I'm asleep, but when I'm awake, too. In fact, it never relly stops. I feel something, Sir, a growing darkness. Like a weight that gets heavier every day. Sometimes that weight just gets so heavy I don't think I can stand it anymore; and the next thing I know I'm coming back to my senses, minutes have passed by, and I have no memory of what happened.

"Another thing is, I look around and I think it's amazing how weak people are. I know that sounds mean, but that's the thought that goes through my head. And it's not that I think they're weak and I'm strong, or that I think they're... pathetic. It's more like I feel like they're... I don't know quite how to put it. Like they're in danger or something. But what would they be in danger from?

"Professor, I need to know what's happening to me. Is there any way you can access my memories, maybe read my mind, and see what I'm doing during those spots that are blank in my memory?"
