Miu moved into the Library with a book she had taken out a few weeks ago. It was a book from the restricted section but she had convinced the Librarian that she was taking it for good reason. And technically she was. She had to learn at least one of these horrible spells if she had a chance of going up against her parents murderers. Pushing open the doors to hear the Librarian squeal she looked up at the roof. There were owls and other carrier birds flying crazy all over the room. Putting the book on the nearest rack and withdrawing her wand from her right boot she stopped for a moment when she realized she didn't know a spell that she could use to make them stop. Help?

Cassie was sneaking into the restreicted section to look for a prank book when suddnely she was flocked by birds and she saw Miu. "What the bloody fishnits is going on in here" she said fending off birds with one hand and making it over to Miu with the other.

Ankaa ran into the restricted section holding a large book over her head. She saw Cassie and another girl in there already.

"Hey guys, does either of you know what's going off? I just came in here for a bit of peace and quiet and I've been divebombed by a huge crow. I had to grab the largest book I could find and run for my life!"

She peered out from under the pages and watched a flock of parakeets zooming low over the shelves.

"How did they all get in here anyway? And where did they come from? I've never seen some of these birds here before."

Miu sighed as she looked up to see her own owl Rain. "I have a feeling. I think I know who let them in..." Looking at Rain, who looked like she was sitting there moderating the activities, Miu sighed. "Rain! Come here!" The bird, who realized Miu's tone, flew down and hooted slightly. "What did you do?"

Cassie grinned. "Your bird is a menace in a library." she said laughing and stroking the bird. She ducked as a macaw tried to grasp at her hair. "Miu get Rain to knock it off"

Miu looked at her bird with a stern look. Sadly, her eyes told a different story. They changed color depending on her mood. Rain looked at Miu's eyes and flew off. "Rain!" She yelled after the bird. "She's a enace all the time..." She said with a half smile to Cassie

Henry was reading a book in the libary and then he noticed flying birds in the room. "Come on, what have you done now Miu?" Henry said while noticing Miu. Henry said, "We need to use a spell that will stop these birds. Here I'll look for a book that has some spells, because I don't think the first Year spells will work. I guess since this is an emergency I can use a spell that's not a first year spell just this once." Henry was looking around for a book that had spells in it. Henry then found a book opened it up and found 'Anoblious'. Henry walked back over near the birds and took his wand out and said, "Anoblious". The birds then began to slow down. Henry then said, "There that should slow them down for a while, just don't tell anyone that I used a spell that isn't a first year spell. I don't want to get into trouble."

Miu looked at him with a smirk as he said not to tell. "A bit of trouble might be good for you..." She said changing her smirk to a smile. "Don't ge me wrong, nothing that would get you expelled or anything, just enough trouble..." Giving a shrug her eyes turned pink but she blinked it away. "... Maybe a detention." She said with a shrug. "No?"

"Couldn't agree more, detention sounds ideal" murmered Ankaa from under cover of her book.

"So you say your owl let all the birds in Miu, but why? I think they'd be much better off outside. Unless they're hiding from something that is? Can you talk to your owl at all?

Ankaa put her book down and watched the birds flying over her head. She found it hard to control her feline instincts to bat one of them as it floated past her face.

Sil sat reading, not minding the birds flying about. Such oddities were just something one got used to at Hogwarts. It wasn't until he heard some misuttered spell that he looked around. Anoblious? he thought. And just what is that?

The birds seemed to have slowed down, but he could remember a time when one of his own spells had nearly got the entire potions class attacked by thestrals. Thankfully, he had learned what to do from that incident. "Finite Incantatum," he muttered, pointing his wand in the air. The birds began flying around at full speed again, but at least there were no worries what odd effects the previous spell might have.

Of course now, the birds had captured Sil's full attention. "How did these things get in here anyway?" he asked no one in particular,

Scarlett had dashed up the stairs at top speed and she burst into a library full of birds. She wasn't a bit surprised. She continued running toward an open window. "I think Bella may have something to do with it," Scarlett answered Sil's random question and she hurried past him.

Once Scarlett clambered up to the open window and hung half her body out. "Bella," Scarlett hollered shrilly at the cat, who was perched outside the window her tail swishing ears erect, "You leave this instant! I saw you stalkin' that rainbow owl and I told you she was someone's pet. Go on! Shoo." Bella looked quite indignant but she left and Scarlett pulled herself back into the library and looking for Mui.

Henry looked at Miu and Ankaa and said to them both, "Uh...neither one of you can give me a detetion because neither one of you is prefect. Why would you give me a detetion any ways? I didn't do anything bad. I helped you stop the birds going crazy by slowing them down." Henry was now confused and had no clue what he had down wrong this time and that was the truth.

Miu sighed slightly. Henry was a bit pathetic, how could he not understand that they were calling him a basic goodie two shoes? Making a moement with her wand she whispered, "Scilencio." At Henry, she was tied of listening at this point to his whining. Or, at least, what she would call whining. Slipping her wand into her robe pocket instead of into her boots she gave a laugh. The birds were quite loud also... Interesting coincidence. Withdrawing her wand once more she made a movement at the birds and repeated the same word a few times. There were to many bids for just one spell.

Scarlett caught sight of Mui just as she was silencing Henry and she smiled. What a great idea, Scarlett thought to herself as she walked toward the owner of the rainbow owl. “Um excuse me,” Scarlett began, “I believe we’ve met once before. My name is Scarlett and I think I owe you an apology. You see, Bella, my cat, was stalking your owl and I believe he may have led his friends in here for safety.” Scarlett hated having to apologize for Bella’s actions, but she always seemed to be doing it. “I would like to help you get them out of here before we get into trouble.”

Cassie smiled. "SIL save us" she joked hugging her friend. "Okay well I am going to get Rain" she said. "As her best friend" she said laughing. She hoisted herself up to the top shelf of the library and began scannnning for the bird.

Miu, who gave a nod to Scarlett, smiled a famous half smile before she responded. "Trouble, though fun it is, is sometimes nice to avoid. At this time, for example. If it were something I actually did, then I wouldn't mind getting the blame for it, but in this case..." She cut herself off and ducked down to avoid her swooping bird. "It probably wasn't all your cats fault anyway," Miu smiled, "Rain's a bit of a menace..."

Casse jumped from bookshelf to bookshelf trying to find Rain. She was having a ball but nearly got knocked off a few times from the divebombing birds. A flash of color splashed before her ey and she jumped after it. She nearly fell off the the shelf and still missed the flightly little birdie.

Henry was no silence because of the spell Miu cast at him. Henry tried to talk but nothing came out. He started to wave his arms and pointing to himself. Hoping that Miu would let him talk. Henry also went over to tap Miu on the sholder. Henry started to wave his hands and pointing at himself again, trying to get Miu's attention.

Scarlett returned Mui’s smile. It was good to meet another student who had a pet she couldn’t quite control; Scarlett had begun to think that Bella was the only incorrigible animal roaming the halls at Hogwarts. Before Scarlett could say anything to the effect Henry came up and started waving wildly about. Scarlett could not contain a laugh at his antics. “If this silence is because of you then I can tell we are gonna be good friends,” Scarlett said to Mui. “I chased Bella away from the window so maybe if you can tell Rain that she and her friends can leave they will. Otherwise I am not sure what to do,” Scarlett continued. She didn’t know much about birds and had no idea how to herd them out of the library.

Miu gave one of her famous half smiles for a moment before turning to Henry. Her eyes, which turned an odd shade of red- or pink, rolled and Miu got the urge to send him flying. Though she didn't, it would have been fun to do. Miu, who got the idea that Scarlett had a hard time with her kitty-just as she herself did with her little beast. "I have a slight feeling that Rain was just in the mood for some mayhem." She said with a shrug, ignoring Henry's silent plees. "She can do wonders with her wings, scare tactic wise, so I highly doubt she'd be frightened of a cat. Though I wouldn't put it past her to lead the other owls and birds here under the threat of a cat. I find that Rain is quite..." Miu stopped. She couldn't quite find a word good enough.

Cassie scoured the top of the bookshelves grinning. She climbed ontop, careful to avoid the gaze of Pince. Suddenly a burst of color swwoped through the dive bombing birds. One of them had scartched her face but she dive for the spash of color. Turns out one of the birds had snatched a book of color. Suddenly a heavy weight landed on her shoulder and cooed. She rached up and held Rain tenderly making it back to the place where her friends were. She held rain gently but tightly. "Look who I caught" she said finally back on ground.

Mui's lack of word to discribe Rain made Scarlett smile. She felt the same way about Bella. Granted her cat had almost burned down Diagon Alley Scarlett still loved her. Scarlett paused for a moment. Maybe I should tell Bella that, Scarlett thought. It seemed she and Bella had been on the outs for a long, lonely while. Maybe it was time to patch it up. Scarlett came back to herself and said to Mui, "Well let's not get detention over this," and she began to cast a spell.

Henry heard Scarlett say to Miu, "If this silence is because of you then I can tell we are gonna be good friends" and Henry didn't like that. Henry took out his wand and used Rictesumpra on Scarlett. He knew how to use spells without saying anything. He then aimed his wand at Miu and used Silenco on her. He was then thinking, "Well Miu how do you like that?!" Henry just couldn't say it because he couldn't talk.

Scarlett felt the spell wash over her and she glared at Henry and shook her head. "Didn't you learn anything in our duel. You see Henry that is your problem. You don't learn. And that is what will keep you from becoming a great wizard. Or even a passable one really." Scarlett's hand went to her wand. Instead of pointing it at Henry she pointed it at Mui. "Finite incantantum," Scarlett said with a flick of her wrist, releasing Mui from any spell that Henry might have cast on her. Scarlett needed the girl functional to help her with the birds. Scarlett turned back to Henry. "Are you going to be part of the solution to this situation," She gestured toward the birds, "or are you going to be part of the problem as usual?"

Ankaa's attention was drawn back from watching the birds by Scarlett having words with Henry.

"Oh guys, let's not fall out. It seems there's been too much of that round here lately. Let's just all try and be nice to each other for a bit, then maybe we can get rid of these birdies before I get the urge to start chasing them myself. And if you want me to have a bit of a word with Bella, Scarlett, you've only got to ask. Maybe I could try and smooth things out betweenyou if you like."

She walked over closer to the group so as to not be so distracted by the beating wings above her head

"Do you reckon we could use a floating charm on a big net or something? Maybe we could scoop them all up in one go..."

Cassie watched amused as the birds swooped over head nd of course henry was being a pain in the you know where. She rolled her eyes as Rain struggled against her arms, desperate to escape and conduct the rain of birds. Cassie gave Rain a look then turned to Miu,"Hey Miu. Here is rain...tryingcontrlling her" she said laughing and offering Rain to Miu,

Scarett smiled Ankaa’s offer to mediate between Bella and herself. “Thanks Ankaa that might really help me out. And the net idea isn’t a bad one, but I am not sure where we can find a net.” Scarlett herself was at a loss for ideas so she thought they should explore the ones Ankaa had come up with.

That was when Cassie came up with Rain. Scarlett was hoping maybe the bird could help them undue the mayhem.

Miu, who usually would have told Scarlett that she can do that myself jus stayed quiet for a moment as her bird was plopped in front of her face. Moving her wand in a slow manner to tie up the birds feet she gave a sigh. Usually she was much nicer to Rain, but usually didn't come around all the time. Closing her eyes as if trying to remember something, when they opened they were a pale pink color - sort of like Rain's eyes. It seemed that perhaps whatever was with Miu's eyes, was somehow connected to whatever was with Rain's feathers. Curious. As the bird flapped it's wings and moved onto Miu's shoulders Miu's wand moved again, but this time in an odd circular motion around both her head and the little beast on her shoulder. "Now, Rain. What the hell did you do?" The bird, who looked as if she were making sounds was actually not making sound at all, but the beak had transformed into human lips and seemed to be forming human words. And it seemed quite clear as to what she was saying. Then Miu, who had obviously done this before to get the bird's point across, sighed. "She says that a poltergiest - or ghost or something - threw a book at her so she rallied all her friends to destroy the place..."

Scarlett burst out laughing at the sight of a bird with lips. She laughed even harder when she heard the reason for the avian infestation. Those birds sure had spunk. "So it wasn't Bella," she said to herself before turning her attention back to Miu and Rain. "Do you think Rain can get the birds out of here or are we gonna have to get a net?"

Miu, who would have also laughed, merely changed her eye color -not purposely of course- to a pink peppy color. As she moved the birds face back to normal she pushed herself up onto a short bookshelf ans sat on it, and she was quite aware that if she were to do this when there wasn't a bird infesation she would get in serious trouble for the small crime. Pursing her own lips slightly she blinked her eyes back to their normal light brown and put her head in her hands, making sure to cross he legs so that her little dress wouldn't show. "I doubt she would help..." Miu said after a moment or two of silence, from her not from the birds.

When Scarlett saw Miu talking to her bird Scarlett had an idea. “We could ask Dream to come and help us, but that would bring a prefect straight down on us.” Scarlett saw Ankaa out of the corner of her eye and saw that the other girls was almost twitching from wanting to chase birds. Scarlett began to wonder if Bella was still lurking near by. “Ankaa if you had some help do you think you could herd these birds out the window?"

Henry looked at the girls and said to them, "I'll help you girls with the birds." Henry then looked at just Scarlett and said, "And no I'm not going to cause a problem, I'll actually help this time." Henry looked at the birds and yelled, "Stop! This very second!!" But of course they didn't stop. "Oh well it was worth a try" Henry said to the girls.

Miu, who oddly enough found that a bit entertaining, rolled her now yellow eyes before blinking them back to brown. "Birds are really energetic aren't they..." She pointed out more to herself than to the others. It's funny how birds could do so much damage. "At least the things can be repaired later on..." She said with a shrug. "If I were a bird I'm not sure if I would behelping out in here though...
Rain looked at Miu with an odd look (I can't remember if she's gone or not, but wherever she is she's looking at me now!) as if to say, 'what?'
Miu's eyes scaled over to the bird and she gave a famous half smile before jumping down to the ground from her sitting spot. "Maybe I would... Depends on if they had a better reason. If someone throws something at you, you don't go for the thing that was thrown. Sure it's hard to get back at ghosts and such but there are ways. There are ways."

Scarlett gave Miu a look like she was cracked. Scarlett was not really one for pondering the meaning why's and why not's. She was an action kind of girl. She went to the window and called "Bella!"

Remy walked into the library and stood watching the owls flying around for a few seconds before looking at Scarlett. Scarlett what's going on here who let these owls in here and why? He asked her curiously. He had seen many things since he came to hogwarts so he knew there had to be a good explanation for this and he was curious to know what that was.

Miu, who would have hit herself in the head if not for her eyes, gave a half smile and said. "Someone was throwing books at the birds so they decided there shall be no more books..." She said to Remy as she fixed her little orange dress again. Remembering that someone had pointed out the Slytherin prefect to her the other day her eyes widened slightly. "... Or if you don't buy that then Henry did it!" She pointed at Henry and gave a slight shrug.

Scarlett jumped when she heard Remy's voice behind her. This is exactly what she didn't need she thought as she was turning around to answer his question. She did it slowly to think of what she was going to say to get out of this. But Miu was already answering. Scarlett did not want to be in trouble, but she would never blame someone else for something that was her fault and she looked at Miu agast. "This is not Henry's fault Remy," Scarlett said. "As near as I can tell what Miu first said is what happened. Can you please help us get these birds out of here while we still have some books?" Scarlett hoped Remy had an idea because she was fresh out.

"Well this isn't the time to be discussing whose fault it was anyway, we can sort that out when we take care of the situation" remy said as he looked upwards at the birds. "This would be so simple if dream was here but she's not so its up to us" he continued as he reached into his pocket and took out some owl treats. He threw the treats up in the air and used his anwa power to make it float slowly out the open window...hopefully some of the owls would follow them out of the library.

“Well you make it look pretty easy yourself,” Scarlett said as a majority of the birds went winging out the window after the owl treats. There were still a few die hard book haters pecking away at binding, Scarlett thought they might be able to chase those away with brooms.

Miu's eyes changed to a reddish color. A touch of annoyance but mixed with something else, and as she looked around she saw that her own birdie was still supervising. In a low fox growl Miu stopped for a moment and blinked her eyes back to a light brown. Interesting ideas had just popped into her head. Pushing herself back onto the short bookshelf that she had moved herself onto she took a deep breath, she had done it before, who was to say she couldn't again? Then, after a few moments of what seemed to be concentration, she was gone. And a little orange fox cub sat in her place. SCORE! She was getting better at this, but upon noticing how little she was she jumped onto Scarlett's shoulder. As if to make the height of the shelf a bit shorter.
