Erin walked out of the front doors of the castle, and headed for the lake. She went to the edge, and gingerly took a step onto the ice. Finding it solid, she walked out further out, and sat down for a moment. She carried a large backpack with her, and she untied some skates from the back of it, and put them on, and pushed herself to her feet. She took a moment to reacquaint herself with skates, and started to skate forward slowly.
This winter, she wanted to try a muggle sport that she had seen on the telly, and once in real life. The sport, played on the ice, was called hockey, and she had left a few flyers around announcing her intentions to the rest of the school.
Skating back to her backpack, Erin reached in, and pulled out a miniature hockey stick, and cast a spell, returning it to its normal size.
"Guess I can practice a bit while I wait for people to show..."
Erin said to herself, and pulled out a puck, and clumsily started to hit the puck around on the ice.

Sil stepped out ohnto the ice, curious about this 'hockey' sport he'd read about. He saw Erin using a stick to push something around on the ice. "Odd, muggles," he mused.
"So what exactly is hockey," he asked Erin. "Some primitive form of qudditch played on ice?"
Erin had been practicing for 20 minutes, and she thought she had started to get a feel for this whole thing. She skated down the lake, slapping the puck back and fort, and did a quick 180, continuing towards the shore when she heard Sil
"Quidditch quidditch quidditch... is that all you magical folk EVER think about? It's like the ONLY sport you ever think of? Are there no other magical sports?"
Erin asked, and braked a couple yards away from Sil. She moved her hockey stick to catch the puck before it hit the edge of the ice, and gave Sil a long look.
"No, hockey is alot different than Quidditch. And you should go watch some muggle sports some time. Alot are AT LEAST as interesting as Quidditch, if not more so. They are better excercise too, since you work your legs as well as your arms."
