The snowman contest was prepared and ready to begin. There were 10 stations already made, and there was room for many more to be added if necessary. Each station had a ton of snow grouped up in a pile on top of the natural snow from the ground. The contestant or contestants would then attempt to build their snowman from this pile. There could be a station with one contestant or a station with a group of up to 4 contestants.

Sitting beside the pile of snow was a medium sized, old, brown box with the Hogwarts symbol on top. Inside, the contestant(s) would find everything they needed to decorate their snowman. They would find hats, gloves, scrafs, carrots, buttons, sticks, coal pieces, gumdrops, raisins, boots, sandals, plain t-shirts, topical shirts, and a Hogwarts robe. Contestant(s) are allowed to only use these items, though they may use magic to transform them.

Each contest lasted for 45 minutes which would be timed by a huge clock hung on the womping willow which was 20 feet from the contest area. After the 45 minutes, selected judges would examine and grade the entire built snowmen for the most creative, efficient, and put-together one. From this selection, 3 winners will be chosen for first, second and third place.

The catch is, peeves has been assigned to float above and try to prevent or slow down your completion of your snowman, so you better watch out!

OOC: Also for those of you who are photoshop crazy, if you want to make a picture of your snowman you can, and we will actually jude the pictures to help make our decision in the thread!

"Snowman contest? What's that?"

Erin said, walking into the Snowman contest area. She looked around at the banners, and rules, and started to get an idea what the idea was.

"So what sorts of restrictions are there on magic?"

She asked, thinking that if the rules weren't TOO restrictive, she might decide to enter.

Sabrina walked over and stood beside erin, reading the rules. "Sounds fun!" she said, smiling at emma.
"What ARE the restrictions on magic?" she knew there had to be a catch...

Cassie approached the contest area and checked her watch. Where was he? She saw Sabrina and Erin and smiled. "Hey guys, Ya'll entering"

"probably..." sabrina siad, and then noticed Cassie chcking her watch impatiently.
"Who you waiting for?" she giggled mischeviously. "Mr. Sexy pants?"

Cassi laughed. "no my partner. I say be here at theis time and well....nothing" she said looking round then glancing at the bojects and fingering her wand.

"Heyy girlie" Khai yelled as he ran across the feild. He skidded across the snow and landed in front of Cassie..."I know it may seem like I'm late but I have an excuse...I err had to fix mu hair" eh said flipping hsi hair back.

Cassie rolled her eyes as Kha skidded in front of her. "you're late" she said in a sing song tone and gave him a hug. "You ready to rock this Aussie style"

"Can I be on your team too?" she asked Cassie sweetly and winked and waved at Khai. "I ROCK at snowman making"

Khai laughed. "Sure...we could always use more poeple on our team" He smirked at her. "I'm ready to beat some people in the Oz style"

Cassie shrugged. "Cool..." she looked around. "I'm gonna go...erm...play in the snow" she said walking off anf picking up ansowball, to toss up and down"

"hey Khai.." she giggled and when he wasn't looking, balled up some snow and threw it at his head, aiming for his hair.

Khai immediatly covered his head. "hey....not the hair" he said laughing. "You know better than to touch the hair. That and my ees make me very sexy" he said laughing.

Emma grinned at the three as they joined her. Hearing Khai talking about fixing his hair made her remember to check hers. Taking off her ear muffs, she messed with her bangs and ran her fingers through her brown curls, trying to get the wet snow out of them.

Finally satisfied, she looked back up and found them forming groups. "As much as I enjoy being around you.." she said giving a joking roll of the eyes at Cassie, "..I think I am going to build my own snowman. So dont cry when you lose!" she said with a grin.

Cassie stepped up to Emma. "That a challenge em...becuuase right now a challenge is what I need. I'm fired and I really am going to whoop your butt. Bring it on" shesaid smirking. She picked up a pile of snow and crushed it in front of Emma's face.

Erin stared at Emma and Cassie, not really caring so much about winning. She was going to build a snowman, and it would be NICE if she won, but she didn't really care all that much. Especially not enough to be all competitive about it.

Walking over to the nearest snowman building area, Erin reached down and picked up a handful of snow, and started making it into a ball. She then started to roll the ball along the ground, and started to make it larger. The others could fight over who would be the winner, but Erin thought that she would rather get started now, and do something else when she finished.

Sabrina grinned at Khai and said, "race you to the station!" and ran to a nearby station and started making a ball of snow.
"C'mon!" she laughed and said to khai, calling him over.

Cassie went over and grabbed her own bucket and stared at it confuzzedly. "Ummm...I do not know what to do"she said to herlself. She grabbed a box and began pulling out Items placing them one by one on the ground, trying to picture a snowman in her head.

Sabrina yelled over to Cassie, "those are the items you put on the snowman twinnie! you can alter them however which way you can..." she said and smiled, mumbling a spell to change one of the scarves to a dazzling purple color that sparkled in the light.

Khai watched as Sabrina changed the snowman scarf purple. The color caught his eye and he turned away the glittery color blinding him. "Wow...that is a very sparkly color." he said slowly. "um....what are we doing"

"making snowmen, you silly goose!!!" she said and giggled, changing a hat to a pretty green and sliver color. "C'mon and help me!" she called Khai over.

Khai shrugged and went over tothe box and pulled everything out and set it in front of Sabrina. "Okay so what are we going to do" he asked looking at her and grinning.

Cassie kinda walked away from the duo of them. She decided to kinda make her own. She grabbed another box and dumped verything out in a pile. She began to mutter to herself forming a game plan in her head. She sniled softly as sh arranged the objects in a row, thinkning abouther snow girl.

"Well.." she grinned right back at him.
"We can alter these items and which way to put them on the snowmen. So, would you rather make the snowperson or alter the remaining items?" she asked.

Khai laughed and grinned at her. "Okay well I would liek to build the balls" he said laughing. She took a whole pile of snow ad began to role it into a large ball. He pakced it tight and began to bild it larger, humming qietly.

"That's gonna be one sexy snowman.." she laughed.
"I;m sure it's not gonna be as sexy as you though..." she purred.

Khai continued to pack the snow up. "Well obviouly. Nothing is sexier than I" he said sticking his tongue out at her playfully. "So what are we doing for the snowman" he asked finishing the first larg ball.

"Well...we can make the other two snowballs so that we don't have a decapitated snowman..." she laughed and said, "he can't survive just as one ball of snow!"

Khai racked hs mind for a second. Snowmen...thye had three balls. He began to roll up the snow for a second ball, ow hwistling. He was determind to wn and was even more determind to get i first place. He grinend at hr as the ball gt steadily larger.

"Now all you need is one more." she said and surveyed her items from the box. She made the hat into a top hat and she turnd it to purple and silver colors, with green snowflakes on it.
Then she animated the pieces of coal for the eyes so that they moved.

Now that Cassie was working alone she really began to push her self. Taking out the scarf she stood up and began to wave her wand over it watching as it transformed into a sufboard with moving Hawaiin flowers. She began to roll her first ball of snow and when she finished positioned it slightly sideways on the board. She then began to roll her second ball.

Khai watched Cassie for a second smiling discreetly and then turned back to Sabrina. He rolled a thrid ball, smaller then the other two then picked it up and placed it gently on the second ball. He grinned as the beginnings of a snowman formed and he began to laugh.

Hearing no restrictions that would stop her from doing so, Erin used a levitation charm to raise up a mass of snow from the ground, and then blasted it with a Incendio charm. The snow melted to water, and Erin quickly froze it with another, making a large block of ice standing vertically out of snow.

"It still counts as a snowman if the core is made out of ice right? Or can I make a ice sculpture for the contest as well? I dunno if thats allowed Emma.
"

Erin said, standing next to the block of ice.

Sabrina dmired erin's ice block. "COOL ICE!" she said pointing at it for a moment before whispering to Khai, "we ned to think of something else...what do we need?"

Khai looked at her for a second. "oh yes...lets ask the Australian who has never built a snowman and has grown up on a beach" he asked raising an eyebrow. "I dont know...what do you think" he asked.

"Well sor-ry..." she said, teasing him. She smiled and said, "I think we could make his arms move too and what coor should his gloved be? We have a hat, eyes, scarf, and..." she asked herself.

Khai furrowed his brow and struggled to think of a thing. Suddenly he got a bright idea. "Could we....make him talk" he said looking at her meaningfuly.

"I think so... i think yuou can bring something to life by saying the killing cyurse backwards but i don't know if it actually works.." she siad and looked at the nowman. She put his carrot nose on and his coal pieces for a mouth and went, "arvadek adava" she said pointing her wand at the snowman.
