Ami walked into the library queitly, making sure each step fell to the ground silent. Her hair was tyed back and her too long fringe was messy after the wind outside. She had her blouse buttoned tight and the rest of her uniform very clean and neat. Her bag was hung from both shoulders and it was heavy with books. All in all, it gave her a prissy appearence.

She swiftly made her way through the bookcases gliding past the teenagers reading and browsing. She found a corner with a bean bag. No one would see her in this empty place. None bothered to go deep into the huge library, where the books where huge and held pointless facts. It was common knowledge that most people at Hogwarts just used the library for homework.
But Ami was different. She loved reading and she devoted herself to books.

Ami looked through her bag until she found the book she was looking for. She sank deeply into the bean bag and began to read.

Scarlett really was trying to be quiet as she hurried through the isles looking for a book on vampires for her DADA class. Every step she took though seemed to click, clack, or clink as her high heels tread upon the wood floor, or her big wooden bracelets came together, or the buckle on her book bag hit the shiny conchos on her belt. She was so involved with trying to be quiet that she didn’t notice the bean bag or its occupant and she stumbled over both.

Cassie was sneaking around the library plotting a way to the Restricted section. She gigggled and waved to everyone, just being her naturally freindly self. She danced along peaking for a door when she saw Scarlet" Scarletta" she called out runnign towards her. Not noticing the beanbag she ran over it, tripped and fellon her face. A few moments later she popped up smiling sheepishly. "Im okay' she burst out laughing.

Ami jumped up. She could hear something in the distanst. And it wasn't pages turning nor soft murmers of people talking. She put her book on her lap and looked up. The noise was getting louder. She felt nervous. What could make this noise? Just as Ami was about to stand up from her bean bag, she saw a whip of long black hair. Ami was wondering if it was a human wandering round the library. She'd come here to avoid noise and students. But what if it isn't a student? She picked up her book and tried to read; tried to take her mind of this strange noise. Suddenly something crashed into her, and her book went flying.

Before Ami could try to rescue her book, another girl knocked into her and fell on her face. Then the girl started laughing. This was too much for her. She stood up, but she was too much of a goody goody to shout. "Um, did someone jinx me?" she anxiously whispered.

Cassie finished laughing and turned to the girl. "Nah. I usually keep track if who I jinx" she said laughing and pickig herself up. "Sorry bout that I dont pay attention and Scarlett" she said pointing to the other girl "Is a bit of a goody goody who needs a book for class, I'm Cassie. And you" she said introducing herself.

“Pardon me,” Scarlett said blushing as Cassie tripped over the same girl Scarlett had. She wondered about the jinx she mentioned and Scarlett didn’t like Cassie’s reply. Trouble generally followed Cassie or Cassie followed trouble. Either way one was usually not far behind the other. She ignored Cassie’s comment about being a good, goody knowing that most of the stuff the youngster did was for attention.

“I am so sorry,” Scarlett continued to apologize to the girl. “Really I don’t normally trip on people or anythin’. Are you hurt?”

Ami listened as the first girl told her about how she remembers who she jinxes. She was making her nervous. What if she jinxed her? Her mind started to wander about her book that was knocked into the corner. The black haired girl was frowning, and apoligiesed for bumping into her. She wasn't really listening though, until the girl asked her name. "Um, I'm Ami," she said, still concerned about the book. She walked over to inspect her book and the girl asked how she was. "Um, its okay. I think its gained a few dog ears but I can fix it," she replied not really understanding the question. "Um, Its okay, um, about falling over me. Sarah and Cassie, right?"

Cassie grinned seeing the nervousness on her face. She let out a small laugh as she saw Scarlett scowling. "Yep Cassie's my name. trouble's my games." she said throwing a wink in there just for Scarletta. "She's still mad atme for the snow cream fight" she whispered to Ami

"Actually my name is Scarlett," Scarlett told Ami remembering to smile. "It's nice to meet you even if I did have to tip over you to do it."

Scarlett heard Cassie's remark about the snow cream incident. "It's not a fight if one person get's ambushed. I had snow cream in my hair," Scarlett told Ami, looking for sympathy.

"So....Ari and I had snow cream all over us and caramel and you didnt compete. You were not ambushed>" she fought back a playful light oin her eyes. "Anywho.... where did ya come from"

Remy was sitting on a chair looking at his books in front of him. "A whole essay on the patronus charm you have got to be kidding" he said as he shoved the book away from himself. He then noticed cassie and scarlett with another girl and a thought went up in his head. He hurried over to them and with a smile on his face said "hi girls, how are you doing"

Cassie listened to the girl speak and laughed when sudenly Remy appeared. "Remyyy" she said jumping on him in an attack hug. Cassie laughed and got off him. "So...why are you here" she chuckled straightening her shirt.

Remy laughed as he hugged cassie then looked at her and frowned. I have stupid homework to do and its really hard, I sure wish i knew of someone who knew what they were doing. I am so lost and confused i bet a fail this class and then i'll never be able to leave hogwarts and have to live here forever" he said with a sigh then he smiled "other than that im just relaxin"

Cassie chuckled. "Ya... never asking what you are doing again. May be too dangerous of death by boredom" she said hitting his arm playfully. "Well I am kinda chilling out... hurting Gryffindor first years. Pranking everyone who crosses my path. The norm" she said giggling. "Dont worry Remy... I never do my homewrok and I always seem to pass... However that may be due to the fact the teackers never want to have me more that once" she said betweem laughter.

"Well since were both bored why dont we do something about that" he said with a grin as he took his wand out. "aguamenti" he softly said as he pointed his wand at some first years. He quickly put his wand away as soon as he had so when they got drenched and looked around remy was busy looking like he was having a real important conversation with cassie.

Scarlett narrowed her eyes at Remy. "When will you ever learn to pick on someone your own size? Honestly Remy you should be ashamed of yourself. At least Cassie's shcemes involve talent and creativity and here you stand slinging your wand around. And you have the nerve to put Henry in detention." Scarlett did not care if Remy was a prefect and years older than her, she was the type to speak her mind no matter what.

Cassie laughed as Remy doused the first year. She gave him a quick high five then pretended to look innocent. As Scarlett told Remy off she grinned. Perhaps she and Scarlett could be friends and maybe she wouldnt let the stink bomb loose in her dorm tonight...Maybe. "Hey Scarletta... Keep talking like that and one may assume you've come to like me" she said giggling.

“Cassie one may assume anything one wishes,” Scarlett said haughtily, “As long as you remember what happens when you assume…” Scarlett turned back to Remy to see if he had anything to say for himself arching a thin black eyebrow at him. She doubted he would have anything useful to say, but he often surprised her.

Ami looked up from the book she had once again disappeared behind. She noticed that she was in the company of someone else now. Silly of her not to introduce herself. A blush spread across her cheeks as she decided she had been too observed in her book to even hear the other girls conversation, let alone notice the older boy joining in. She quietly slipped the book into her bag, but a loud clunk was heard as it fell to the bottom. Slipping the bag on, she edged her way to the shelter of a nearby bookcase. Maybe if she could hide, she would be able to sneak away without being noticed.

Scarlett heard the sound of a book clunking and she turned to see where it came from. The new girl that she and Cassie had just met was trying to slink away. Scarlett figured she might be shy and not want to hang out with the two Slytherins. She moved so that she was near the girl and said, “Don’t let those two ruffians scare you off.”

Ami blinked, "Ruffians?" A blush spread across her face. Did she sound stupid? Maybe everybody said stuff like that here. She was getting used to the weird trend some of the girls came out with, but the language was just getting confusing. "Um, sorry, I don't understand," she said quietly, looking down.

Scarlett looked down into the puzzled girl's face. "Yeah ruffians. They were just throwin' water balloons at a first year in the library. They have no respect for anyone. I would say ruffians is the best word to put to those two." Scarlett may not be the brightest bulb on the strand, but she had a pretty wide vocabulary and was often mifted people didn't think it mixed well with her Southern drawl. She regarded the new girl frostily to see if she was one of those that thought her backward because she dropped her g's.

Ami blinked. Throw water balloons at a first year? That was a bit... unusual. Making a mental note to add that to her vocabulary, she looked up at Scarlett and smiled. Her smile disappeared when she saw Scarletts icy glare. "Oh I'm so sorry! Did I offend you!" she said panicky, her voice slipping out of its usual quiet whisper. What had she done now?

Scarlett could tell by the girl’s panicky voice that she had truly not meant to slight Scarlett in any way and her icy glare smoothed into a warm smile. The girl looked fairly terrified and Scarlett did not want that. She had just been scolding Remy and Cassie for doing. “Look,” said Scarlett “You don’t have to be scared. It’s ok. What book were you reading?” Scarlett asked trying to change the subject.

Ami smiled awkwardly, not sure whether to be happy or still nervous. "Um, I was reading "100 ways to cure 100 injuries"," she said, not sure where to put her eyes. Should she look at the ground or look Scarlett in the face? No, that might be a bit frightening.
