These are the guidelines for having a signature/banner. I've went around looking at people's signatures, seeing what was popular and I think these new guidelines are more than fair.

SIGNATURE GUIDELINES

1) No .bmp formats are allowed in signatures under any circumstances. They're very large files and take longer to load on slower connections.

2) Only one small animation per signature.

3) Only 1 banner per signature, the more you have it takes the page to load longer. Either that, or two small pictures that would equal 1 full banner.

4) The Banners should be no larger than 450x250. That's 450 for the width and 200 max for the height. Banner larger slows the site down and makes it harder to load.

5) No javascript or flash banners.

6.)No political banners or signatures are allowed on the boards.

7.) No personal information in your signature. That means no putting your address or telephone number. This is for your safety, so don't do it.

8.) Size 4 font is the maximum text size per signature.

9.) Please do not have more than 14 lines in your sig. That includes text and images. It just takes more to load each page.

Banner Sizes and Options:

OPTION 1: 1 450x250 banner & 1 450x 125 banner (maximum)




OPTION 2: 1 450x250 banner & 3 avatars

OPTION 3: 1 House Banner 540x235 (maxium)
House banners need a little more space since most try to fit all of their housemates into the banners. If you have a house banner, no other banner can be in your sig.



OPTION 4: Portrait pictures
Portraits are fine, but with having a portrait you give up the right to have a regualr banner. The portrait is your banner.
