For anyone that knows Jaimie Linn Spears, did any of you hear the she's preganute? I also heard that she's going to keep the baby. I wonder if it will be a boy or girl. I wonder what she'll name him/her. For anyone that has any preditctions just reply here to tell me yours. She's only 16 and she's having a baby, wow!

There's a LOT of controversay surrounding this. For one, it's Brittany's sister....obviously bad judgement runs in the family, aparently.

But the big deal I suppose is because she's the star of this Nickelodon kids show. People are afraid that Jamie's bad judgement will lead other young girls to do the same. With that I'd have to agree. When you're starring on a channel with younger viewers, you have to be a good role model.

Jamie isn't.

This whole thing is sooo ridiculous. I can't believe that she would be stupid enough to get pregnant. (actually since she's Britt's sister, I can) It's just absurd. I mean what makes someone decide to get pregnant at 16?! It's just so stupid!!!!! :angry:

Yeah I don't understand it either, she's only 16 for crying out loud. I mean yeah, people can do worse but still that's wrong to get pregnaut at 16. Does she think she's going to get popular? If anything I'd think she'd get less popular, and more people would start to hate her. Do you agree? I would never get preganut at 16, it's just so weird and wrong.

I still can't believe that she's preggos! I read it on one of the blogs that I read and I thought it was a joke! But I would have to say that I think, because of the disaster that is Britney and now this, that much of the blame should fall on the parents. Her mom let her bf live with them for crying out loud, when I was 16 I wasn't even allowed at a guys house unless my parents knew for sure that his parents were going to be there. And her mom selling the story to a mag was just wrong, its like she just wants to profit off of her daughters, not be a mother to them. I think Nicklodian did the right thing by ending the show, she's not a very good role model at the moment.

I agree that Jamie Lynn is not a good role model for kids, and maybe Nick did the right thing if they canceled her show, but there may have been a missed opportunity. Good kids (I am not saying that Jamie Lynn is one of these) make bad choices and those choices have consequences. Maybe Nick could have shown what those consequences are, following her character through a teen pregnancy and the life of a young mother. Maybe if more girls could see what those things are really like, less of them would get pregnant. Education is the key to lowering birth rates and if you can’t get kids to read, (not us on this site, obviously) you might try some alternative mediums.

You all realize that her stupid sister Britney is going to have to go and get herself knocked up again or SOMETHING, as she will not deal well with the idea of not being the skankiest Spears.

Okay, here's what I have to say. Excuse me if it sounds a bit harsh:

Was this a smart idea? No. Should Jamie automatically be labeled as an irresponsible slut? No.

Look, obviously she wasn't trying to get pregnant. Hell, what 16 year old girl would. It's called "an accident".

Don't act all high and mighty about this. I think the main reason she's getting so much negative attention about this is because she is in the public eye. Sure, she has a kids tv show. This doesn't make her immaculate!

She does have a life outside of the show (as does every other celebrity). And at least she's taking the mature route and admitting it. It's also pretty cool that she's choosing to keep it. ((I'm pro-choice, but even so))

Think of it this way: If your best female friend got knocked up, would YOU be calling her an irresponsible slut? I highly doubt it.

When I was getting my hair cut today, I was reading the magazine Star and they had an entire article about Jamie Lynn. Apparently, rumors are going around the this boy Casey, might not even be the father. They checked his MySpace page and he wrote, " .. me and Jamie are over." So they're trying to figure out how he could be the father if he was over.

Also, they're suspecting that Jamie might be lying about her due date. She told Ok! Magazine that she would deliever in June, but Star reported in September that rumors that Jamie was pregnant then, which means that she's due around March.

So how long is she really? You know how these celebrities work with their publists when they have a crisis. Jamie might have been told not to tell the publict until she was showing.

I agree with Logan. Accidents happen. And the more negative people are about this whole situation, the more negative Jamie Lynn is bound to feel about herself and her baby. I am not saying we throw her a parade, but we could throw her a break. I doubt she has a very good support system at home, to say the very least. As to her due date and who the father is, is that really any of our business? I wish she didn’t need to feel that she had to hide or lie, but in today’s shark tank media frenzy a 16-year-old is being interrogated about the most personal things in her life. Try to put yourself in her shoes for a moment. How would you feel?

I really don't think there's anyway she's that far along....not that it's any of my business, but she'd be showing, quite a bit by then.......and that's my two cents....

You can think about it this way to, people who aren't famous tv stars or actors or recording artists, if they got pregnant at 16 or around that age, they wouldn't be labeled like that. Sure some kids may talk behind backs but that would happen anyway. Stars get way to much negative publicity for things that normal people do every day!

You guys are right Jaimie Lynn Spears proably just got pregnaunt because she thought it would make her a more popular actress. I still think it was a really stupid that that she did that, and I would never get a 16 year old girl preganut. Probalby not even a 18 year old, I'd wait until I was a lot older that's for sure. Cassie where did you hear there's going to be a fourth season of zoey 101? It makes sense because the way they ended the last episode:"Goodbye Zoey" shows that they have to continue the show, or people that watch it like me would be mad. And we'd always be wondering what was going to happen next.

My final thoughts on the matter: She messed up pretty big, but she owned up to it and she's handling the situation in a mature way. Done.

Well she got pregnaut and that was a pretty stupid thing to do. It shows that she's not that incredibly smart. Either that or she just makes really stupid decissions. I mean she is Britney's little sister so I'm not that surprised she did something stupid like this. For all we know Britney could have told her to get pregnaut, and she listened.

No. I highly doubt it. This girl is an amazing person. I won one of those contests a while back to meet the star, and she's really sweet. doesn't seem like the type of person to just listen to whatever someone else says. Oh the horror . . . accidents happen deal with it and get over it people.

I for one personally know a girl who got accidentally pregenant at 15 and decided to keep the baby. She has made a fantastic mother and is doing great. As long as the person keeps the baby for the right reasons and has support then there is no reason why pregnansy at a young age can be bad.
