Scarlett took her new potions kit and her book down to an empty classroom in the dongeons. She put on her sheild clothing and a pair of goggles and turned the pages in the book until she found a potion that looked pretty easy to make. She took out the ingrediants that she would need and said to herself, you can do this, you just need to concentrate.

Nakutro walks into the classroom and a feeling of impending doom would follow and he gets prepared. "Hmm which potion will i make that would lay waist to this room" he asks himself alloud not seeing Scarlett. He puts on a millitary grade looking outfit normally used for Chemical Warfare but it was just made to look like it and he lays out his ingredients.

"Um..A sleeping draught may be safest" he says and looks around "Oh hi there." He finally noticed Scarlett and waves.

Scarlett was just about to start her potion when she heard the door open and guy walked in that she had never seen before. He didn't appear to notice her at first so she just watched him. She started getting a little nervous when she saw him suit up. When he waved she inclined her head, and said, "Hi, what's with the gear?"

Nakutro shrugs "I tend to lay waist to any room i do potion or chemestry work in" he says and sighs "Care to help change my luck?" he asks with a defeated tone and puts on the googles.

"Nakutro is the name Slytherin house is my stay" he adds introducing himself. He looks at the supplies and a book he snagged from the library. "I am so boned here" he mutters to himself and looks to her

"Well I will be honest, I came done here to practice a little so I don't make a fool of myself in class. But maybe two heads will be better than one. My name is Scarlett, and I am a Gryffindor. What were you plannin' on mixin' up." She walked over to the table where he had laid out his things.

"A weak Sleeping Draught it is said to make meditation easier" he says and smiles at her offering a hand in an old manner if she took it he would kiss her hand (like i said an old manner haha) and he smiles with a bow "Pleasure to meet ya."

He looks at the supplies "It says this stuff is supposed to be within the realm of a first year" he grimaces thinking about something "Ready?"

Scarlett recognized the position of his hand when he held it out to her. Being from the deep south she was not a stranger to this manner of greeting and offered her hand automatically. She giggled when she saw he was kissing sheild glove, but she supposed that the glove made the gesture even more old fashioned.

"Well then let's try it," Scarlett said coming around to stand beside him so that she could read from his book. She snapped her goggles down over her eyes and said "Ready."

Nakutro nods "Ok. We need Catnip, Rose leaves, and bits of these potion ingredients he says pouring purified water into the cauldron and looks at her. "Here goes nothing" he says and mashes the catnip and rose leaves "Can you please pour that vial into the cauldron?" he asks pointing at a red bottle.

"I will add this after and mix you crush the rest and add them two at a time" he says hoping not to destroy the classroom. "And now" he indicates for her to add the solution as the water was now boiling.

Scarlett poured the contence of the red bottle into the cauldron as Nakutro had directed. Then she crushed the rest of the ingrediants and added them. "I really hope this does not blow up on us."

Nakutro nods in agreement and groans as the stir started to glow "Craptastic" he says and tosses the stir it burns a hole into a desk behind them and he pulls out a new one made of wood this time and it works without getting destroyed.

"Add the others now" he says and motioning to the other ingredients and make sure they are fully mashed or Boom" he says not stopping his stiring if she looked at the book it noted that 'It is best to mash the ingredient first if you are working alone.'

"Don't worry," Scarlett said as she added the other ingredients. "They are nice and mashed." The cauldron started to bubble and Scarlett stepped back to avoid getting anything on her. "At least I thought I crushed everything up."

Nakutro swears as the cauldron explodes on them Nakutro more then Scarlett as he sheilded her from the explosiom some out of instinct. The effects are mostly harmless the shrapnel was the safest part of the explosion the fluid was boiling though so some burns may be gotten he gets a minor burn on his face.

"You ok?" he asks looking her over to see if she was ok holding the stir still turns out it broke off and there were termites in it.

Scarlett's step back and Nakutro saved her from getting burnt by the potion or hit by any peices of the cauldron. "Thank you I am fine," she said in responce to his question. "But it looks like you got hit. I am sorry. I really thought I had crushed those ingedients pretty well. Here let me get you some burn ointment. I keep it with my potion kit because the two seem to go hand in hand."

Scarlett walked to her bag and took out a jar of salve offering it to Nakutro.

Nakutro hands her the stir he had and she would see the real culprits of the explosion "Thanks" he says and puts some on "And no prob i don't even remember human sheilding yeah i tend to do that alot" he says and sighs "Friggen bugs" he groans "Wanna try a new potion?"

He sits down "I will drop by the hospital later to have them look at it but did any hit you or was i that good a barracade?" he asks curiously and smirks some.

Scarelett smiled at Nakutro and saw the bugs. "Well it's good to know it wasn't my fault. I just don't have very good luck with potions. And you were a very good barracade. I didn't get hit by anything. As for another potion, let's clean this mess up and go from there." Scarlett took out her wand and started scorgifying the the puddles of potion. That was when she noticed that the table was melted a bit where the bigger puddles had gathered. "Wow I guess you just never know what you are going to get when you mix things up. I hope the potion didn't get on anything important in here. Look how it ate through the table."

"Yeah it only ate the unused ingredients turning it into an acid but nothing to worry about" He pulls out his wand "Um Scourgify" he says and cleans up some of the acid concoction.

Man this is insane it is replicating as i clean it" he says and notices it isn't eating the floor "Peculier..."

Scarlett had been cleaning the same big glob for several moments when it dawned on her that it just wasn't going away. "Nakutro, I think we might havea problem," she said pointing to glob of almost sleeping draught. "This isn't coming off the table and the whole is getting bigger."

"Well rock seems to be able to to hold so..." he trails off and clutches his cheek it felt like it was on fire and it kinga was since he was just now lossing his adrenaline rush so pain decided to throw a welcoming party onhis cheek and he hits his knees but prevents himself from screaming. "We need stone lots of it" he says through gritting teeth, watching the table lower as the goop at the legs and he uses it to get up.

"If my calculations are correct this stuff will grow till it runs out of food and well if it hits us the magic in us will be like a steriod boost" he says showing his intellegence for this occassion "Know where we can get rock?"

Scarlett had a flash back to a chemistry class that she was sure she must have passed notes through, but it was amazing what kind of memories stress will dredge up. There was chalk at the black board and Scarlett threw a peice in her mortor and used the pestule to grind it. "Chalk is like a rock and I think it is a base too, so it should neutralize the reaction goinin' on, on you face. Aqua Eructo," Scarlett's wand produced its predictable trickle of water but that was fine for once. She used her gloved finger to make a paste out of the chalk and water and she got a glob of it ready to smear on Nakutro's face if he said it was ok. "You wanna try and see if this works?"

"This is a burn but dump it on that stuff" he says pointing to the pale green blob "If it had hit me i would be dead alread i only got the pure stuff i am luck" he says and gets to thinking and comes up with an ideas "Acid it is an acid we need its main neutralizer" he says and goes into his pockets searhing then looks down "Frigging kidding me!" the blob was blocking their path to the door.

"What neutralzes most acids aside from mucus?" he asks backing away from the blob.

Scarlett had appearently been so busy grinding up chalk that she hadn't noticed a blob forming. She did as he said and flung her at handful of the chalk and water paste at the blob. It flinched and made kind of keening sound. "I think I hurt it Scarlett said. She thought about Nakutro's question and tried to reach back to that chemistry flash back. "Uh baking soda is a base and umm I think milk is too." Scarlett looked around, but since they were not in a pantry or a refridgerator there seemed to be none of that handy.

"Fork me...um know anthing magical cus i doubt most..." he stops "Milk ou say?" he moves over to his bag and pulls out a carton of milk "It isn't enough but it will have to do" he sas and treats the pint like a grenade chuking it into the midde of the creature.

It purrs enjoying and grows bigger "No way not cool!" he yells and grabs scarlette and tries to drag her over to the teachers desk "That is stone we will be safe on it" he says and gets a grin "And it has chalk do ou know a repicator spell?" he asks as he he leads her to the desk.

When Scarlett saw the blob get bigger after getting hit by the milk she allowed herself to be dragged up on the teacher’s desk. When asked if she knew the replication spell she got what Nakutro was thinking, but she took it a step farther. She grabbed a piece of chalk and cast the replication curse on it so that when it was touched it would multiply itself by 12. She tossed the chalk at the blob and it opened its hungry maw to gobble whatever was coming toward it. The chalk disappeared within the blob.

Nakutro watches and smiles as the chalk started to neutralize the creature but then it went down hill "Know the Medusa Hex?" he asks as the blob had seemed to start adapting and fires the chalk at them. He casts a sheild charm and got to thinking "Starts with a D what is it?"

He was panicking now"Four letters long crap what is it?" he starts to rock an looks at scarlett "Do you know it?"

“Duro!” Scarlett said pointing her wand at the blob, hoping to turn it to stone. She made sure to tuck herself back behind Nakutro’s shield spell as quickly as possible to avoid the pieces of chalk flying everywhere. She felt kinda dumb for not thinking that spell when he said rocks. Scarlett was a big fan of the Duro spell, because it generally took something out quickly and easily. “Incantum finite.” She said, ending the germino spell so that the chalk on the floor didn’t start multiplying when they needed to clean up.

Nakutro watches as the blob reaches for them as it turned to stone it grabbed nakutros leg and hardened and he swears very loudly "Reducto!" he yells and blasts it off his leg and looks to scarlett "We did it but the thing is still alive" he says and casts duro on the destroyed area the monster was only covered in the rock but it was enough. Nakutro was missing a footand half his shin.

He passes out.

Scarlett heard Nakutro yell reducto and she looked down to see that he had blown part of his leg off. Scarlett who did not do very well with blood or the absence of body parts was sick over the side of the desk. Once she had recovered herself she saw the blob was still oozy inside. “Duro, Duro Duro!” She cast the spells hoping to keep the blob in while she got Nakutro to the hospital wing. “Locomotor Nakutro,” she said pointing her wand at Nakutro levitating him off the desk. She kept a wide berth between herself and the, for now, stone blob as she exited the classroom with Nakutro’s prone body following behind her. As she shut the door to the classroom she used the spell that allowed her to write ‘DO NOT ENTER’ across the door and prayed that anyone coming this way would heed the words until she could come back with reinforcements and deal with the blob.

It has been a couple weeks since he has been here still depressed and takes out a special diamond tipped marble syringe and uses it to extract some of the blob from the stone and casts duro for further containment. He goes over to his potions equipment and begins to analyze it. He had a small array of muggle meeans to help and makes a new discovery, it can't eat glass either well not easily at any rate. He puts the blobs culter into a stoneware bowl, and he finds termite larva in the sample as they swam to the surface. "Facinating i will make a note of this" he says and does that it reads, 'The blob seems to use the termites that made it as sort of brain and method of locomotion we already know that once it ingested my leg it will grow immensly so we must keep it in stone. I spelled some on a slide on accident and it wasn't eaten until now 5 minutes later' he then swaps for a quill he had found that you dictate to and it writes what you say exactly but adds odd side comments and doodles.

"Hmm it seems that there is still bits of my tibia and fibia floating telling me it takes time to digest bone not surprising though." He smiles for the first time since the day it all started and keeps working

Scarlett had finally found the time to revisit the blob’s classroom. She had not seen Nakutro since she left him in the hospital wing, but when she opened the door she found him there crouched over a microscope talking to himself. She was happy to see that he had two legs. “Hi Nakutro, good to see you walking.”

Nakutro looks over at her and nods yeah i had to get out of my room and stop moping" he says and the quill ignored them to doodle an idea on the blobs molecular structer and an elephant too and he picks it up "Care to join me?" he asks motioning to all of the equipment and sets the pen on a new peice of paper to let it doodle and write things.

"Found out some weird stuff on this thing and i have only been here for 8 minutes" he says sounding happy apperently science was his happy place.

CJ had been in Nakutro's dorm, even though he wasn't there, and had found his book lying open. "experiments on the blob?" she thought curiously then walked down to the potions room. After all, she knew he wouldn't be mad at her for showing up because his book thing had said "if Cara reads this she should join me." CJ walked into the room closing the door again behind her. " 'Ello Nakutro! Bonjour Scarlett." She said walking over to stand at nakutro's side, barely taking note of the blob. She had been expecting some sort of blob to be there after all.

"Sure you can tell me all about it while I gather up my things," Scarlett said moving to the table where her potions kit was laid out for the potion she never tried to make. "I just want to be ready, if we have to make another retreat."

"Bonjour CJ," Scarlett said when the Slytherin girl greeted her. Scarlett had taken French at her old high school and though she had never really been any good at it, she usually responded to bonjour in kind because the French teacher had been such a stickler about the greeting.

Nakutro smiles and hugs Cara "Cj meet Experiment T.R.M.T. or Termite. A sentient blob of acid it seems to be unable to eat stone and termites which are the controllers" he says and becons scarlett over to him "Look in that stoneware bowl and tell me what you see." in the bowl it looks like a pale sickly green goo with bugs swimming in it and a steak hanging over it at a passing glance but what will you see on closer inspection? Bone bits? Maybe it trying to get out of the bowl it is up to you.

And yes it is stuck in thereit cannot climb.

CJ returned Nakutro's hug. Termite? she thought wearily, running a hand through her hair. When she glanced into the bowl, she stepped back away from it quickly, clearly quite alarmed. She placed her hand on nakutro's arm and gave him a quizical- and, er quite repulsed- look. "Sorry, I've just never seen anything quite like it." She said to Nakutro, shivering noticably.

Scarlett waited as CJ got her look into the bowl. She looked rather disgusted and Scarlett could see why as she leaned over. There were bits and chips of what Scarlett assumed to be Nakutro floating around in the goo. Scarlett’s stomach turned and she pulled her head up quickly. This reminded her of another mess she needed to clean up before she left. She drew her wand and walked over to the teacher’s desk. There was no sign of her sickness from before. “Poor house-elves,” she said to herself coming back to stand next to Nakutro. “I don’t know if I have the stomach for this. What exactly are you doing with all this?”

"Studying it to get my mind off of my dads death" he says with an oddly happy tone and grabs some marble chopsticks and pulls a termite larva from the goo and rinses it then puts it on a slide for disection now this was no small larva like it should be but Nak had used an engourging charm on the goo so he can get a good look at it the larva dies on the slide which under nomal instances would be weird but he wasn't surprised "I will wait till you two are gone to disect this sence your squemish" he says and kisses CJ quickly "I think i may have stumbled onto somthing when i reread the book" He opens it and it had Grendalwald and Tom Riddles names in the back "Mean anything too you two?" he asks knowing exactly who the two were

Scarlett nodded when Nakutro gave his reason for suddenly being into science. She only wished she had had something as constructive to do when her parents had died.

“Thanks for thinking of us,” Scarlett said when Nak said he’d wait to dissect the larva when they left. Scarlett’s tone was a little sarcastic, but she truly was thankful to not have to watch the enlarged larva get chopped up.

When Nak opened up his book she took a look at the names written in back. She kept her face carefully blank. Scarlett was American so it was plausible for her to play dumb and see what the others new about names before deciding whether or not come out with what little she knew of those notorious names. “Never heard of ‘em before. Who are they?”

CJ sighed. and watched Scarlett curiously, before reading the names for herself. She flushed and ran her hand unconciously over her forearm thinking of a point some three weeks back. She didn't answer at first, and instead stared at Nakutro, her eyes wide. CJ knew that Nakutro already knew what was on her mind, and finally said quietly "I... Grindalwald I have only heard of a couple times, but Tom..." She trailed off, now avoiding looking at either of the others.

"Yeah Voldemort and Grindelwald both had this book at one point or another this is a old book i casted a reveal spell this book if for purely destructive uses and it also has things on horcruxes and the deathly hallows in it." he says and looks at scarlett "Two really bad men" he answers and sighs.

"The thing we made was supposed to eat everyone and everything in the school but not the stone areas since it can't it has no name though in the book just a list and instructions you add a name to it and lets your target work it does the rest of the dirty work." he pats Caras arm and looks at scarlett "So tell me are you really blivious on this or are you bluffing?"

CJ gave the book a nasty look, then edged closer to Nakutro so that she was almost pressed against him. She still looked reasonably uncomfortable, and her hand was on her arm again, right where the dark mark was supposed to show. She was also biting her lip nervously, looking at Scarlett though her eyes were unfocused. She was thinking of how she was tortured a few days back for failing to kill yet another person for Voldemort, but there was no way another person would end up dead at her hands. Not after her brother.
