Title: Some thoughts on Harry and Voldemort
Description: distant family members?

I was just reading Harry and the Deathly Hallows again and a pretty interesting thought came to me.

Harry got the Invisibility cloak through heritage, which means he is a distant descendant of Peverell brothers (it's also mentioned in the DH book).
Earlier on, Harry thinks back of his trip into the memory of Voldemort's uncle. Voldemort's Grandfather Marvolo had the resurrection stone as a family heirloom, from the second Peverell brother. That means Voldemort is descendent of the Peverells as well... which means Harry and Voldemort are actually distant family members!

Furthermore, Harry could also be the last living descendant of Salazar slytherin, despite JK's claim that Voldemort is. If the Peverell brothers lived after Salazar Slytherin, that'll mean that the Peverells were related to him, and so were Voldemort ánd Harry. If Slytherin lived after the Peverells however, Harry's not neccesarily descendant of Slytherin...
Does anyone remember in what century Hogwarts was founded? And when did the Peverell brothers live? There's no mention of the dates (not from the headstone in Godric's Hollow either). Could this be true??!

ps. The fact that Ignotus Peverell is buried in the Graveyard of Godric's Hollow would suggest that he lived after Godric Gryffindor, since the town was named after him, and therefore also after Salazar Slytherin. Or did the town exist before Gryffindor, and was it renamed when Gryffindor became famous? I don't think that last is likely...

That was quite a thought you had! wow. Yea, you've got a point. It's possible but even if they are related it doesn't really matter. But it's interesting to know. I'm gona go read up on that. =)

You know that sounds about right, but I have no clue. How in the world did you think all that up just reading the book! I read it and never even noticed! That is neat maybe you should look further into it and let us know.
