Title: Expiriment Gone Wrong!
Description: oh noes!

pyrii - October 28, 2007 02:13 AM (GMT)
Erin slid down the banister of the 2nd floor staircase, and broke into a run once she got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Crap... here they come!"

She growled, and she ran towards the next set of stairs heading down as a mass of brown things followed her down the steps. Suddenly the staircase turned, and moved, and a deluge of chocolate frogs fell from the staircase on to the first floor. On hitting the ground, some of the frogs exploded in a burst of overly warm chocolate, but other, surviving the fall, started hopping about, and began to close in on any people they could get their dark chocolate eyes on.

"Everyone run! Explode-a-toads are on a rampage!"

Erin yelled as she turned, and blasted the mass of chocolate frogs behind her with a incendio spell. A group of frogs exploded, but more and more frogs kept falling from the 3rd story area, and the stream of toads didn't seem to be lessening any.

Mari walked through a corridor, minding her own business when sudenly she saw Erin running toward her. She screamed when Erin knocked her to the ground and screamed even more loudly when she saw the attack of giant chocolate frogs. They seem to fall all over the place and the hot chocolate oozed out of them. Mari did like chocolate but not like this! She quickly jumped to the side as one was about to fall on her but unfortunately was covered in chocolate that hurt her skin. She began wiping it off as quick as possible while running for cover.
"Erin what did you do?" she called slightly exasperatedly.

"I will explain later! Just RUN"

Erin said, quickly getting to her feet, and pulling Mari up as well. She burst into another run, and cast a few more quick incendio-s behind her as she ran along towards the 1st floor.

"Hurry up Mari! They REALLY aren't fun if a couple dozen of the frogs get you at the same time!"

Mari was pulled by Erin and she ran, trying to not trip from the speed Erin had. She looked behind her to see a bazillion frogs falling closer to them. She followed Erin's example of incendio and pulled out her wand, doing the same thing, but they kept coming.
"You'd better have a good excuse for this one, Erin!" Mari said, her heart thumping from the excitement, "Where are we getting to anyway?"

pyrii - October 28, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
"Head for the entrance hall... There shouldn't be TOO many more of the frogs being made... I think..."

Erin said, and started runnign down the steps to the first floor, taking the steps two at a time. She glanced behind her, and tried another incendio spell, but missed by a wide margin, and it only succeeded in setting a Halloween Dance poster on fire.

Mari's eyes widened at the burning poster and kept running, "Entrance Hall it is then!"
Mari sped up, now pulling Erin with her and turned a ffew corners, trying to ward off some of the frogs and finally reached the entrance all. There weren't as many and this gave them time to think.
"Okay what's the plan genius?" Mari said to her sarcastically.

pyrii - October 28, 2007 03:31 AM (GMT)
"Oh shusht you..."

Erin said, slowing to a halt, and looked as if she was thinking. She closed her eyes for a moment to think.

"If my best guess is right... the most frogs that there could be is something like... 2 million... less probably..."

Erin said, and turned around. The first of the frogs had started to hop their way towards the entrance hall, but the majority were still on, or near the Grand Staircase.

Mari smirked at Erin's first comment and watched her think, "2 million or less? Well that really helps, how are we going to get rid of 2 million chocolate frogs?"
Mari turned to the frog that was entering and send an encendio charm at him, "Okay so can you explain to me how this all happened? Cause I can't possibly imagine what you've done... Perhaps an enlarging spell and...?"
She raised an eyebrow curiously.

pyrii - October 28, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
"So maybe I was expirimenting on the expload a toads... you know, the exploding chocolate frogs? So every time one would explode, then I had to make another one... and that really sucked, so... I kinda 'borrowed' a book from the restricted section of the library...."

Erin trailed off as more frogs started to enter the hall. Several hundred came out in a mass, falling haphazardly over one another as they sensed the girls, and tried to get closer.

"And just maybe I tried a spell one one of em that makes them home in on people..."

Mari listened quickly to what Erin had to say and she grinned, "Maybe you did all that? I'm more than sure that you stole that book!"
Mari then jumped up to see a bunch of frogs coming toward them, "is that why they're following? Because they can sense humans, GREAT!"
Mari sent a few charms their way and looked at Erin, "How many did you make or do they reproduce?"

pyrii - October 28, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
"You see... I kinda cast a spell on a plate, so when you stuck a frog on it... or anything that would fit on the plate... it would kinda make another exact copy on a nearby plate... problem is... I knocked both plates down after a frog burned my hand, so each frog that is made makes yet another frog...."

Erin cast a round of incendio-s at the advancing army of frogs, but the number still didn't seem to be getting any smaller. The opposite if anything.

"But seriously, the spell should have worn off by now... I am pretty sure that 2million is the most there could be..."

"Nice so they just multiply and multiply without halt," Mari nodded, "sounds like a smart move eh!"
Mari tried to explode more frogs but they didn't seem to lessen, "Why hasn't it worn off yet...?"
She paused a bit and thought for a second, "Was anyone else there with you... Whereever you made these frogs?"

pyrii - October 30, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
"Peeves was somewhere on the 3rd floor too... nobody else that I saw around... Actually, it might have been him that knocked over the replication dishes... I don't remember hitting them myself... although I could have, since I wasn't paying too much attention... what with being scalded by a exploding chocolate frog and all..."

Erin said, staring at the oncoming waves of frogs.

"We need to find something that works better on the explode a toads.... they are coming too quickly for incendio to work much longer..."

Sil came up from the Hufflepuff dormitories and looked around at all the chaos. Sure enough, there was Erin standing in the center of it. "What the he--" he started, but was cut off by a rain of chocolate frogs from the upstairs banister. After fighting his way out with some blasting charms, he emerged covered in chocolate and burn marks.

You gotta be kidding me! he thought. How many more of these things are there? One look up the stairs was enough to tell him that hte closest answer he was going to get was 'lots.'

"The doors!" he shouted. "Maybe we can herd them into the lake somehow!"

pyrii - December 6, 2007 12:23 AM (GMT)
Erin saw Sil, and sent a few Incendio charms at the frogs advancing on him, giving him some breathing room as he yelled out to her.

"Water won't work... with a earlier expiriment, I made them amphibious! I didn't think that THIS would happen!"

Erin yelled, stopping her barrage of spells to look through her bag for some fireworks.

"Fire works, and so does brute force, I'm not too sure about anything else..."
