The Owlery was not a place Alfie usually came to seeings she didn't have and Owl, but Alfie had recieved bad news from home. Two of her little cousins had been in the hospital and now Alfie wanted to know why and how this happened. She also wanted to know why that had took them to the muggle hospital and not a magical one.

All week long Alfie had had a feeling that something was wrong at home but couldn't put her finger on it. Now she knew that two family members had been to the hospital and no one bothered to tell her why. She would not have knewn if her mothers sister hadn't sent a letter to say that Alfie's dad and his family just wheren't up to the challenge of taking good care of the little ones on their side of the family. Iris loved to make statments like this all the time but Alfie never thought that she would be this mean. To make fun when children where hurt or sick.

Alfie sat down and cried, How could her family be so mean as to not let her know what was going on. Why did she have to hear this stuff from Iris and not her mom or one of the Aunts who's child was sick.

Didn't they know that Alfie had learned all the potions for the sick and hurt from Grandma Alferretta.

Emma ran up the steps to the Owlery, hoping to see a letter from the twins addressed to her. Finally reaching the top, she stopped to catch her breath. She made the stop at the Owlery part of her morning 2.5 mile run everyday. Walking over to her owl, she saw that there was a letter for her. Beginning to open it up, she looked up when she saw something move in the other owl room. Walking over she saw Alfie sitting down.."Hey Alfie..is everything ok?" she asked gently.

Scarlett was visiting Catch-can, her Grandmother's bat, where she had been lodging him since he arrived, in the Owlery. Catch-can didn't really get along with the owls very well, but it was the only place he could stay while he recovered from his trans-atlantic flight. She was feeding him crickets and watching Bella stalk a school owl, when she heard Emma's voice in another part of the Owlery. She risked taking her eyes off Bella and saw Emma and Alfie sitting together on the floor. Scarlett forgot all about the endangered owl and went to see what was wrong. "Is everythin' all right y'all?" she asked gently.

Ooc: My grandson has been beat up in real life so I am posting to keep myself from going and hurting someone. I have also posted
in the hogs head, under (getting drunk.

Bic: Alfie looked at Emma and Scarlett with tears in her eyes. not knowing waht to say she handed the letter over to them to read.

Ooc: this next part is made up.

Bic: Dear Alfie,

Your cousin JJ is at the hospital. Your dumb Aunt Paula let some muggle woman watch JJ while she took care of some business. The muggle womans son beat him. I have inclosed two pictures of what he looks like now. Maybe Paula will get some sence to her and check out the people she lets watch her child. Your Dad's side of the family never was very smart.

Aunt Iris

The pictures showed that there was an X shaped mark on the left side of JJ's head along with several deep scratches on the left and the back of his head.

Alfie's heart sank at the thought that a child a little over 2 had gotten hurt and the look of the wounds didn't seam to be the kind that a child around the same age cold do.

Alfie quickly wrote a letter home to her Aunt Paula asking for more details and to find out if JJ would be Okay.

When Alfie had sent the letter she looked back at Emma and Scarlett to see what they would say. Alfie just couldn't stop crying.

Cara was skiping through the castle, in a good m,ood. This wasn't unusual for her now, but then again Cara had changed so much since she had returned from the school. Three years of following someone around France and, well, basically right across the world, seem to do that for a person. Her bad temper and snobbiness had almost completely evaporated, to be now replaced by a much more cheerful, caring, fun personality. There was still some people she hadn't seen since she had gotten back though. So as Cara pulled open the door to the owlery, and she was Alfie, Cara gasped and ran over. It was a few seconds before the seventeen year old realised that Alfie was crying. "Alfie..." Cara said quietly before placing her arm around Afie's shoulders and looking up at Emma and Scarlett. The last time Cara and Alfie had seen eachother was three years previously, but then, Alfie had seen her and then took off imediatly. There was no way she could tell how Alfie would take to her being there, but she hoped Alfie would be able to look past how she had been acting before.

Alfie jerked away from Cara not knowing who was touching her. Being an Empath made others feeling very stronge if they touched you.

Alfie had felt a surg of happiness then concurn, not feeling happy at all and not being able to understand how anyone could feel happy when one of the sweetest little boys had been hurt so badly.

Looking up Alfie saw Cara, "Sorry but I just can't let anyone touch me, I hope you can understand." Alfie said as she tried to keep Cara from seeing her cry.

Cara had made Alfie mad by the way Cara followed someone Alfie felt would hurt her in one of the most terrible ways Alfie could imagine.

"At least this is one thing that can't be blamed on a you know who's followers."

Alfie could still see in her mind the horrible pictures of people hurt during (his) time.

"You know I would fight dementors even Voltemort if it would make it where JJ will be Okay, I would even give up my life. He is only 2years old, he hasn't lived long enough and he hasn't been talking long either. Oh I wish I knew more about what was going on, I wish I could see JJ."

Alfie handed the pictures of JJ and his head wounds to Cara so she could see what Alfie was talking about.

Emma looked at Alfie's letter with saddness filling her eyes. She was about to hug Alfie, when Cara wrapped her hand around Alfie. Startled, Emma withrew her hand, and then was about to try and hug her again when Alfie said she didnt want to be touched. "It so isnt my day for hugging!" she said quietly to Scarlett. Hearing Alfie's wish to see him, she said.."Have you talked to the Headmaster..I am sure he will let you go?!"

Scarlett was a hugger herself so she sympathized with Emma want to be physically comforting Alfie, but she knew Alfie's feelings about the matter. "Yeah," Scarlett agreed with Emma, "You should go to be with him. I know you mentioned at some point that you were planning to have him visit you and see what big-boy wizards do here, but maybe you should go to him if he can't come to you."

Alfie looked a the girls around he, she felt bad about not letting any of them hug her but their emotions where too hi and see could hardly keep from feeling them. If they touched her she would have an episode they would never forget and they may never talk to her again.

"Thank you all for caring. I think I'll go to the Hogs Head and work this out, or at least make myself numb."

Alfie left very quickly so the other girls could not keep up witth her see needed time alone to think. "Maybe after I get to the Hogs Head they will turn up, but right now I need to walk alone and have a drink or two first."

Ooc: You are welcome to come to the Hogs Heas. I have been there for a while now. That is if you haven't posted in "Getting Drunk" yet.
