As Alfie walked into the Hogshead all Alfie could think of was how to get drunk as quickly as possible. Heading to the bar Alfie thought of what she would start with, "Fire Whisky, make it a double."

Alfie had had a horrible week. The only good thing was that no one died. Yet!

The bar tender placed the Fire Whisky in front of Alfie and she downed it in one long drink.

"Do you have anything strougher?" Alfie asked as she set down the glass. She didn't even care that the glass might not be the cleanest, all Alfie wanted to do was to get so drunk that she could forget this week.

Dream was wiping down the bar and placing clean glasses in the rack when the door opened and Alfie walked in. She watched as she sat down at the bar and ordered a drink without even looking at Dream. Dream frowned slightly and quickly gave Alfie the double of firewhiskey that she had requested. Hearing Alfie ask if there was anything stronger, her eyebrows shot up in surprise. As far as she knew, Alfie didnt drink at all, so for her to want something stronger than firewhiskey must mean she was really bent up about something. "All I've got stronger than a double shot of firewhiskey, is another double shot of firewhiskey. You alright Alfie?" she asked in concern.

Alfie looked up at Dream in surprise, she didn't know that Dream would be here.

"Well I'm hopping mad and so I'm going to get drunk. Do you have any muggle drinks? " Alfie asked. "When I was in the muggle world I got drunk a few times but I had to drink a lot of different kinds of drinks to get there."

Alfie knew that if she didn't calm down she would do something she would regret.

Dream was shocked by the note of anger in Alfie's voice. An angry Alfie was something she'd only seen once before and this time she seemed even worse. "Well I do keep a few bottles of muggle stuff for Remy and the other people that are part muggle. What are you looking for and I'll go look to see if I have it." she said to her friend.

Alfie thought that there wouldn't be any jungle juice here. After all it took 3 days to make, wondering Alfie said, "Well you wouldn't happen to have White lightening would you?"

Alfie hoped that if Dream did it would be the muggle type. Alfie was all of the sudden afraid that the wizarding world would have it's own kind and that it might not be a drink.

"I can't beleive how stupid some muggles are when it comes to caring for another peoples kids. He could have died." Alfie growled.

Dream walked over to a closed cabinet and opened it up. She started pulling out different bottles of alcohol until she came across a bottle that said "White Lightening VERY POTENT". Dream wrinkled her nose at it and then shrugged her shoulders. It's what Alfie wanted. She walked back over to the bar and placed a new shot glass on the counter in front of Alfie. She opened the bottle and almost dropped it as an angry hissing sound came out of it. She regained her composure and poured the clear liquid into Alfie's glass. She accidently poured too much and it overflowed onto the wood of the bar. instantly there was a huge crackling sound that filled the bar and the liquid on it started smoking and eating away at the wood. Dream quickly pointed her wand at the bar and said "Scourgify!" to clean it up before it damaged the wood. Her eyes were wide as she used magic to move the glass forward, too afraid to touch the liquid. She couldn't believe that Alfie was going to drink it. "Uhm..uh... What's that Alfie? Who could have died?" she asked with a slight air of distraction.

Alfie looked at the glass and said, "this mist be good stuff but I don't thing muggles made it. The stuff I'm used to doesn't make noise like that. Maybe someone put a spell on it to warn the drinker."

Alfie took the glass and drank that down in two drinks. "Yep that's white Lightening alright."

Then Alfie heard Dream ask who could have died. "Well J.J. could have died. He's a relative of mine and is only 2 years 3 and 1/2 monthes old. This muggle lady was watching him and her own son when she said she had to urinate so she went to the bathroom. She said she was gone for only a few seconds and that she heard loud cring. When she gone back into the room J.J. had around 20 deep scratch marks on his head and a bump the size of a goose eggs on his head. I was sent pictures of J.J. late this afternoon. He had a black eye as well. J.J. was took to the hospital and the muggle police where called. It's a miracle that J.J. only has the marks on him. I don't see how the other little boy could have done that much in that short of a time and leave those kind of marks."

Alfie wished that the white Lightening would take hold she was still very mad and was afraid that as long as she could walk she might go and find the woman and hurt her but that would be the wrong thing to do.

Alfie then asked, "Do you have some R&R."

Alfie hoped so Dream knew that the more types of drinks she mixed the quicker she would get drunk and then she could go back to her room and sleep.

Alfie got up and started to pace around knowing that it would help the drinks get into her system better. As she did this Alfie felt a warmth that came when she started to feel the drinks take hold.

"Good I will only need one more drink then I'll need to go to the dorm. If I don't I'll fall aslep right here and that I don't want to do cause I'll remember what I am trying to forget."

Dream listened to Alfie's story with her mouth hanging open. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, and agreed with Alfie that it was hard to believe another young child had done so much damage. "I'm so sorry to hear that Alfie." she said. hearing Alfie ask for an R&R, she looked confused. "I have no idea what that is but if you tell me what's in it, I'll make it for you." she said.

Alfie looked at Draem then heard Gream ask her how to make R&R. "R7R is a whisky called Rich and rare. Let's see well maybe you might have some Voka?' Alfie knew that she only needed one more drink.

As Alfie waited for her drink she pulled out her wand and thought for a second. "Ingorgeo," Alfie said to make the glass that Dream was getting for Alfie. She wanted this last drink to last a while so she could sit and talk about something else. Alfie was now feeling a little better now that she had said it and that she didn't feel along with this. It was really nice that Dream seamed to not mind listening to what Alfie had to say.

"Dream I'm sorry that I unloaded on you like this but I had to tell someone. If I hadn't and if I wasn't smart enough to get drunk I might have gotten on athe night bus and showed up in that state to hurt the muggle."

Alfie was now starting to smile she felt much better and said, "I'll let the muggles police take care of it."

"Hey do you want to know how to make Jungle juice?" Alfie asked with a smile.

Emma walked quickly into the bar, her hair a deep black and her outfit a little bit more herself than she was wearing the last time she came into this bar. Sitting down, she quickly realized she was sitting next to Alfie. She was about to say Hello when she heard Alfie's story. Not wanting to sound like she was eavesdropping, she looked up to Dream..."Water please.". She had to laugh at herself for coming to a bar and then ordering water, but it was what she was thirsty for. She kept to herself, waiting for her water..

Dream watched Emma walk into the bar and when Emma ordered a water, Dream grinned and quickly got it for her. "Here ya go." she said. She then gave her attention back to Alfie and filled up the now much larger glass with vodka. Then she heard her ask if she could make jungle juice, and Dream shook her head. "I dont know what that is either, sorry. Why dont you tell me what's in it and I'll try to make it while you finish your vodka." she said.

All of the sudden Alfie heard Emma. She had not seen Emma come in but in the mood Alfie had been in she doubted she would have noticed if a dementor had glided in.

"How long have you been here Emma," Alfie asked. "I guess you might have heard what I was talking about for I didn't say it softly. What do you think about what happened?" Alfie had sent a letter home to find out if JJ was doing Okay.

All of the sudden a owl came fiying in the bar with a letter. Alfie took the letter with shacking hands, she was afraid that it might be bad news.

"I want to know if JJ will be Okay but I'm afraid that there maybe something more wrong. Openning the letter very slowly Alfie looked at Dream. "Could you get me another fire whisky please, I can't read this unless I have another drink. My hands are too shacky and my mouth is to dry."

Alfie waited for the drink.

Ooc: I just got an E-mail about JJ and boy do I need a drink but I would rather RP it then really drink right now.

Twilight wandered into the Hogs Head and saw Alfie. She'd heard that Alfie had gotten an Owl message with bad news from home, about a little boy named JJ getting hurt by a muggle boy. News like that travels fast around Hogwarts.

Alfie didn't look very good.

'Hi, Alfie," Twi said quietly, "I'm sorry to hear about JJ. It's really tough when all you can do is sit and wait for news."

Scarlett had found Uni frantic in the dorm room she shared with Alfie. As soon as she opened the door the little flying dog had zoomed out. "**** it," Scarlett swore and she and Bella hurried after the little creature who lead them straight and fast to the Hogs Head. Scarlett had listened to all Alfie had said about JJ while holding Uni who was shaking. After the last bit about shaking hands and a dry mouth the little creature couldn't bear to be apart from Alfie for another second so Scarlett released the magical critter so I could give comfort to its mistress. Scarlett walked into the bar quietly and sat down next to Alfie. Unfortunately she had gone through something similar with a cousin of hers and did not want to intrude on Alfie's worry, but did want to be on hand to walk/carry her roomate back to their dorm. Knowing that Alfie would sense it Scarlett broadcast feelings of sympathy and shared frustration, with an undercurrent of reminding of resiliancy of youth. Then she softly said, "I have more white lighting that my Uncle Bubba brews up in a bathtub back home," as pulled out a silver hip flask. "I never leave home without it."

Alfie noticed that Twilight and Scarlett came in to the Hogs Head. Uni seamed to want to get to Alfie but Scarlett was holding her. finally Scralett let Uni go and Alfie held her arms out for Uni to come to her. "Oh Uni how can I help JJ?"

Alfie remembered how sweet JJ was and how he loved people. He aways shared his toys with others, which to Alfie was unusual for a child JJ's age. he was just a little over 2, "How could that muggle woman let her son hurt JJ that bad."

Alfie began to wonder if the little boy was the one who really hurt JJ. Maybe the muggle did it. From what Alfie understood the woman's son was around JJ age.

"Alfie," Scarlett said, "It may not be my place to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the babysitter that caused JJ's injuries." Scarlett used the muggle phrases that she was comfortable with to comiserate with her friend. "Wounds like that are not caused in a moment by a young child. The woman either left JJ alone longer than she said she did or she or someone older inflicted the damage. Either way, through neglect or by direct means she is responsible for what happened to JJ. My cousin used to visit us with bruises all over him and his mother would say that he fell or something like that. Finally my mom told his mom that if he didn't stop 'falling' she was going to call child services... um that's muggle for the ministry types that look after kids. After Mama's warnin' my cousin had less accidents. I know she would have liked to call the police anyway, but she was afraid that my cousin's mother wouldn't let us see him anymore if the authorities were called." Scarlett was saddened by the memory of this time in her life, but smiled when she thought the happy healthy cousin who had waved goodbye to her at the airport when she left South Carolina for England. She would have hugged Alfie, but remember the effects of her last attempt, so instead she sent a mental hug.

Alfie looked at Scarlett then said , "The letter I just got here at the Hogs Head said that JJ is having trouble saying full sentences. He now says a few words and the rest of what he is trying to say comes out sounding like baby talk. Aunt Paula said that he is getting angry because his mom can't understand what he is saying."

Ooc: I wish I could show you the pictures that Paula sent me.

"Oh Alfie that breaks my heart." Tears pooled in Scarlett's eyes. "My prayers go out to you and your family. Have they done a brain scan on him or any thing like that. They are test muggle's run that take pictures of the brain to see if there has been damage."

OoC: I am glad I can't see the pics Alfie. I would be forced to wake up my own two-year-old and hug her to make sure she is all right.

Alfie pulled out a picture she had of JJ before all this. "See how happy he is ?" The little puggy boy in the picture smiled and waved at the girls as they looked at him.

Alfie started to cry thow she was trying not to she was always afraid that with her power she mighht be able to make them feel her hurt and she would never wish that upon anyone.

Alfie then turned her attention to Jungle Juice. She wanted to have some so badly that she could hardly think, besides Alfie's heart felt so strange she just wanted to go to JJ and hug him to make things all better. JJ loved it at Alfie's house and he loved his Papa. Everytime Alfie talked to JJ on the phone he would ask to talk to Papa. Alfie wanted nothing more then to get JJ and bring him here to Hogwarts. She could hardly wait until he was of an age hat he culd see this place, but maybe he could not come here maybe he would become like Dumbledore's sister did all those years ago. Alfie cried even harder.

"Oh what a darling little boy," Scarlett coo-ed. "How could anyone hurt such a precious thing." Scarlett's eyes blazed and her knuckles whitened where they held the flask she'd offered Alfie. She took a healthy swig herself. She could feel Alfie sadness, but her own anger welling up.

Alfie tried her hardest to remember how to make Jungle Juice. "Dream to make Jungle Juice you get one pound of strawberries and one pound of pineapple." Alfie thought some more she had to remember what all went into it, she nolonger could feel the effects of the other drinks she had drank.

"Then you need 4 Gallons of fruit punch and one fifth of ever clear. mix all this with ice and let sit three days checking and stirring it twice a day. make sure it has ice in it at all times." Alfie wished that she could remember the ageing spell so that the Jungle Juice would be done quicker. Alfie wanted to eat the fruit for that was where most of the alcohol want to.

"Just draw an age line around the fruit bowl and Alohamora it through. Dream does a heck of an age spell. Water melon goes real good in Jungle Juice too, because it really soaks up the liquor." Scarlett followed Alfie's change of subject smoothly. Tonight it would be about what she needed to talk about. If Scarlett's polite upbringing had taught her nothing else, it had taught her how to follow the lead of a conversation.

Dream had been silent as Alfie and Scarlett talked. She knew that they were roomates and Scarlett seemed to be helping Alfie a lot, so Dream just quietly hung back until she was needed. Hearing Alfie explain to her all the things needed in the Jungle Juice and then hearing Scarlett's suggestion about the age line, Dream decided to try to make it. She couldn't do it exactly like Scarlett said, but she could improvise. "I'll be right back. I have to go in the back to do it, where the kitchen is." she said.

Alfie listened to Scarlett then said, "I don't like water melon in Jungle Juice it geys real soggy and teaste funny."

Again Alfie's mind went to JJ. "I wonder what they will find out tomorrow I sure hope that JJ will be Okay."

Alfie had forgotten about her pack on her back. "Oh I have some Rum balls in here. Wonder if there still good."

Alfie tried to clean out her pack once a week but she just couldn't remember if she had at the beginning of this one with all that has happened.

"Rum balls are always good, even when they are bad. Like pizza." Scarlett wondered if the wizardin world had pizza. "Have you ever had pizza Alfie." Scarlett had noticed that whenever Alfie was trying to comfort someone she always talked about/offered food. Scarlett thought food must be a comforting subject for Alfie so she tried to stick with it, and anyone whose had pizza can talk about it for quite a while.

Twilight took a drink from her flask. It held an alcoholic beverage called Screech that they make in Newfoundland. It burned all the way to her stomach.

She felt sick about what had happened to JJ. "I think Scarlett is right," she said to Alfie, "Those muggles aren't telling the whole truth about what happened."

"But the important thing right now is for JJ to get the best possible medical attention. Little kids tend to be able to overcome bad injuries, because they're still growing. They're very resilient. I sure hope JJ is going to be fine."

Listening to the others Alfie thought for a minute, "That might not be a good idea if I go home I'm afraid that I will get into trouble by using a spell against her and then be sent to one of the magical prisons. If it would do something to reverse what happened to JJ then I would in a heart beat, but, it won't."

Remy: Slytherin's Official Future

Remy walked into the hogshead eager have a nice beverage and enjoy the company of some of his freinds. He looked around and saw a few people but no one he knew. He was about to go talk to the waitress when he spotted alfie, twilight, scarlett, and dream talking together. He grabbed a glass of sparkling water and walked over to join them.

Emma drank her water slowly, listening to the others talk. She smiled at Remy when she saw that he too, was drinking water. "Cheers" she said sarcastically to him. Turning her attention back to Alfie, she suggested.."Is there anyway you could just see him, alone and privately?" she asked.

Ooc:
Paula said that JJ is okay and that he will be come to see me on tuesday and staying for a month. Isn't that great? But I'll post it slowly so we can keep this going.

Bic:
Alfie looked out the window and saw that the sun was coming up, but she didn't feel sleepy at all. She wanted to here form home how JJ was doing.

As Alfie looked toword the door and saw Remy come in. Alfie wanted so badly to see an owl fly in with him but it didn't.

"Maybe later an owl will gett here I just can sleep until I know what is going on with little JJ."

Alfie looked at all the people in the room hoping that they wouldn't leave her alone now before she heard from home.

"Aunt Paula said that she would bring JJ here as soon as the doctor said it was okay so you all will get to meet him."

"Well we sure look forward to meetin' the little guy," Scarlett said. It was nice that Alfie could have a visitor. Scarlett wondered if it would be a day trip sort of thing or if they would have to make a little pallet for him to sleep in, in Alfie's and her room. Either way Scarlett didn't mind. She was happy that JJ was coming to visit.

Dream walked out of the back of the bar with a huge bowl full of fruit. There were strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, orange wedges, watermelon wedges, chunks of peaches, pears, pineapple and apricots. "I hope this works. It took me awhile, and I figured that everyone likes different kinds of fruit, so I would make a medley of sorts. I also couldnt find any Everclear so I had to use Moonshine, but that's pretty much the same thing anyways. I just hope it tastes ok." she said as she placed the huge bowl of fruit down on the bar along with a handful of skewers s people could use them to spear a piece of fruit.

Alfie was waiting to see an owl get in the bar sometime soon. All of the sudden something was whirling in the fire place.

"What on earth is that" Alfie exclaimed as she pointed to the fire place.

Dream came back from the back of the bar with torpedo juice not jungle juice. Alfie grabbed the large glass that had had her other drinks in it. She filled it with fruit and some of the liquid from the bowl.

"I must be seeing things."

Alfie looked again at the fire place as she took a mouth full of friut. All of the sudden Alfie saw Aunt Paula and little cousin JJ. "Running to her Aunt Alfie looked at JJ to make sure he was OK.

When Alfie was sure that JJ was Okay she turned to the others and said, "Hey everyone this is my cousin JJ, don't he look so cute." The marks on his head had lessened but where still visible.

When Scarlett saw the big bowl of fruit and heard Dream say that she used the white lighting instead of everclear all she could say was, "We are gonna get dru-uh-uhnk tonight." But then there was a disturbance in the fire. Scarlett had never seen someone's head in a fire before, but no one was screaming so she took it as a normal wizardly occurance. When Alfie said it was her aunt and little JJ she cast her gaze around to dispose of any alcohole bottles. She didn't want her friends to get in trouble for underage drinking. Dream might be able to get away with it at school where her father reigned but if other parents (or aunts) got wind of it who knew. Scarlett was probably just paranoid from her own strict upbringing, but one could be too careful. She was very pleased to see that JJ looked good, with a sparkle in his eye that said he was on the mend.

Remy: Slytherin's Official Future

Remy smiled as he saw dream coming up with a bowl of fruit. He grabbed a skewer and grabbed a pear wedge and proceeded to eat it. He noticed it tasted kind of funny and was about to comment when he saw a flash of light and two people come out ot the fireplace. Remy looked at the two and said nothing as alfie had her moment.

Alfie took JJ over to the bar and said, "Dream do you have any milk back there?" Then she turned to her Aunt Paula and said would you like some Torpedo Juice before you leave.

Paula looked at the kids with a smile, "well at least I have the pleasure of seeing that you kids are just like me and my friends where when I went here. So why the Torpedo Juice? Dd someone die?"

Alfie looked at her Aunt then said, "No I just knew that if I didn't get drunk I would have done something to get into trouble."

At that statement Paula replied, "so Iris has written to you hasn't she?"

Alfie looked at her Aunt then nodded. "Hey everyone just be yourselves Aunt Paula is okay she wouldn't want to get us into trouble." Hoping with all her heart that everyone would just start talking and have fun, for now Alfie felt like having a party for JJ seeings that he was Okay.
