Title: A Book on Bell-Flowers
Description: Every quest needs a trip to the library

ladeeknight - September 12, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
Scarlett was tired after searching the grounds for a hero's headstone. How could she have gone off half cocked like that. What if the Bell-Flower had been at Dumbledor's grave and she just didn't know it because she hadn't bothered to find out what the danm thing looked like. Just because it was called the Bell-Flower didn't mean that it looked like a bell. It may have been very small or well she just didn't know. She supposed she deserved to be tired with nothing to show for her efforts. She asked the librian if she had ever heard of a Bell-Flower or knew of a book about the subject. The librian said no, but directed her to a sunny cornor of the library that housed plant books. Scarlett was quite delighted to find that some of the spines of the books had actual plants sprouting from them. The whole corner had a rosy lavendar scent and Scarlett sat down to rest for a bit before beginning her search. Scarlett hated doing research and she was exhausted from all the excitement of the morning so she decided to have a little rest before starting her search. Bella encouraged this by mewing from a soft chair near the window. The lavendar was so relaxing, and the sun so warm, and the chair that Bella had chosen so soft, that Scarlett fell into a deep dreaming sleep...

CassieWink - September 15, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
Cassie was in the library tyrigfn to find a book on how to transport a lve animal whens eh heard someone go into the flower section. Cranign slightly around the corner she saw Scarlett and amirk crossed her faxce. She watched SCarlett fall asleep and snuck over very quietly for a prank. Leaningnright next to her ear from behind the chair she shouted. "HIYA SCARLETTT!!!!!!!!"

Emma Potter - September 15, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
Emma looked up from the table she was reading at, right across from Scarlett's. She was reading a really interesting book about muggle medicine and physics, and how it compared to the wizarding physics and medicine. She saw Cassie yelling into Scarlett's ear. Emma gracefully got up, and walked over.."What are you doing..this is supposed to be a quiet area?" she said jokingly.

ladeeknight - September 17, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
Scarlett was ripped from dreams of bloodsoaked earth and a greasey haired man by Cassie's voice. At first she did not know where she was and she was cross as a bear from being woken up. But as her mind came more into the library and out of the forest she had been dreaming of she became happy that Cassie had not left her to waste anymore time sleeping.
"Hi Cassie, thanks for waking me up. Sorry to have disturbed you Emma. Hey Cassie would you like to help me look for a book?"

CassieWink - September 18, 2007 04:29 AM (GMT)
"Sure....I was bored anyway" she said brushing herself off. She was slightly disapointed in her reaction.S he was htiking more scared. Note to slrf" work on scream. "How is your demo....cat bella" she asked smiling slightly and a light pink rose on her cheeks form her screw up.

ladeeknight - September 18, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
At Cassie's question, Scarlett looked around for Bella. She spotted her high up on a shelf where she had sprung when Cassie had called. Her fur was extended in every which way and she looked about to spring on the girl herself. "I would say she's fairin rather badly after the fright you gave us. And Gummy? How is he?" Scarlett was trying to reach Bella, who was stalking the shelves. Bella wouldn't be reached though.

REMY-SALINAS - October 4, 2007 07:02 AM (GMT)
Remy: Slytherin's Official Future

Remy walked into the library and smiled as he saw scarlett, he walked up to her and grinned as he passed his hands through his hair. It was gettin long once again and the signature shonk had cut into it had finally dissapeared. He looked at scarlett "how are you doing" he asked the gryffindor.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 4, 2007 12:13 PM (GMT)
Mark stepped into the library and glanced around, after his and Scarlett's unfruitfull search for the bell-flower they had agredd to do some research into what the flower actually was. Deciding that it was a good idea to actually know what they were loking for Mark had agreed to meet her in the library.
A second glance around the room and Mark noticed the librarian stood in the corner putting some dusty old books on the shelf and approached her. "Excuse me...have you seen a girl asking about the bel-flower?" he asked rather optimisically. The librarian told her that Scarlett had gone over to the plabt section of the library. "That makes sense i guess" said Mark, more to himself than anyone in particular.
He walked through the potions section then the astronomy section before finally coming to the plant section. This had always been one of Marks favourite sections, not because he enjoyed the reading material but for the plants growing out of some of the amazing books, and the general smell the area produce. Scarlett was not alone infact there seemed to be a crowd gathering, Emma, Cassie and Remy had all joined Scarlett there.
"Hey Scarlett" he said with a smile, he then turned to the others "You guys all here to help too?" he asked.

dreamdancer7699 - October 4, 2007 01:00 PM (GMT)
Dream had been curled up in a corner of the library reading Through the Looking Glass for the thousandth time when she heard a bunch of voices that she recognized. She thought about ignoring them and hoping they would go away, but in the end she was like Alice and too curious for her own good. She put the book in her bag to check out and take to her room and walked up to Mark, Scarlett, Emma and Remy. "What's up?" she asked curiously.

ladeeknight - October 4, 2007 05:04 PM (GMT)
Scarlett had been concentrating on getting Bella down from the shelf she was on, but at the sudden clamor of questions she spun around. Cassie and Emma seemed to have been replaced by Remy, Mark, and Dream. Scarlett blushed a little bit flustered from being the focus of so much upper-classman attention. Plus Scarlett hadn't seen Mark for a while and he seemed to have gotten himself a mighty fine haircut that was making it hard for her to form sentences. "Well um... right now I'm trying to get Bella to come down off this shelf, but I am also looking for a book about Bell-Flowers."

OoC: Nice banner Mark. Muy calente!

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 4, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Mark turned as Dream joined the group, she had already been up here and he thought they must have been making alot of noise to disturb her. "Sorry if we put you off any studying" he said grinning, trying his hardest to sound sincere. Then Scarlett spoke and told them about the bell-flower. Mark had been there when they had gone off hap-hazardly in search of it and was glad for the extra bodies they now had to help. It seemed to be important to Scarlett and that was a good enough reason for him to look.
Mark's attention was then drawn up at the cat Scarlett was trying to retrieve from a bookshelf. "You not confident enough to just Acio the little thing then?" he asked with a smile. Walking forward he pulled out his wand, "i can get her down if you'd like?" he offered waiting to see if she wanted to give it a try first.

dreamdancer7699 - October 4, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
Dream was listening to Scarlett when another noise caught her attention first. She looked up and directly into the eyes of a little kitten that was up on a high shelf. She'd gotten up there on her own but now was too scared to get down. Dream soothed it and convinced it to jump into her arms. Dream walked over to the shelf and opened her arms a little for Bella to jump into them. She hesitated for a moment, so Dream took control of her mind and body and made her jump. She caught her easily and handed her to Scarlett. Then she grinned back at Mark and responded to his comment about being sorry if they disturbed her. She had seen his grin and knew he was a liar. "Sure you are." she said as she bumped her shoulder against his arm playfully.

REMY-SALINAS - October 5, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Remy: Slytherin's Official Future

Remy hadn't noticed everyone around scarlett but the buzz of everyone made him a bit uncomfortable. He waved a slight wave at everyone and quickly excused himself. He walked to the librarian and after hearing hte book he was looking for had not arrived yet he slowly made his way back out of the library.

ladeeknight - October 5, 2007 02:47 AM (GMT)
"No Mark, don't use magic on Bella she doesn't like it!" Scarlett said hastily when she heard his suggestion, and then stared agast as Dream lured Bella down off the shelf. Rule #1 to life with Bella is never to touch her uninvited. Rule #2 is never try to make her do something she doesn't want to do. Dream must be powerful in her ways with animals indeed to have escaped a brush with Bella unscathed. Bella however was now winding herself around and through Dream's legs purring exstatically. Scarlett was a little hurt. "Oh come off it Bella just because you have found a human who can actually read your mind you don't have to get all crazy about. I try to know what you want." Scarlett pouted a bit letting her lower lip stick out just a bit. Bella looked up at Scarlett and meowed, then sprang into her arms, rubbing her face on Scarlett's. Before Scarlett could return the embrace she had manipulated from "her" cat, Bella was springing again up to the shelf she had been on before. This time instead of just rubbing on the books she began knocking them off the shelf. The first one to hit the floor was called "Opener of Doors: The Bell-Flower." Many books followed it as Scarlett was made to understand that this was the form Bella's wrath would take today. She wasn't damaging anything only making a mess for them to clean up. "Guys just let her do it," Scarlett said to her friends. "It is easier if you just wait out the storm. Trying to stop her from doing what she wants is like trying to rope the wind. You don't have to help clean either. This kind of thing happens to me a lot. She just wants to make a point that if we had bothered to look in direction she was leading us we would have seen the book."

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 5, 2007 12:11 PM (GMT)
Mark put his wand away as Dream took control of the cat and made her jump down into her arms. "Why do i always forget you can do that?" he said through a grin. He had to admit that he had alwayd loved dreams power, he was envious of it more than any other power in the school. Bella and Scarlett then seemed to make up as the cat sprung back into her arms but only momanterily, as the cat sprung off back onto the same bookshelf again. Mark was just about to ask Scarlet what it was up to beforethe cat knocked a book off the shelf...it was about Bell-Flowers!!
"Awesome! Thats one smart cat you've got there Scarlett" he said in owe. Mark bent down to pick the book up before another came tumbling down and hit him on the back of the head "OUCH!" he said as he straightened up rubbing the back of his head. Now the cat had helped she seemed intent on getting revenge for ignoring her before. Mark just stood back and watched as more books came hurtling down.
He pulled out his wand again, although the thought to jinx the cat came to mind that wasnt why he had drawn it. He pointed it at the Bell-Flower book on the ground. "Accio" the book shot up into his hand before it could be burried amongst the other falling books now littering the floor. "So now we just wait for her to finish her hissy fit?" Mark asked gesturing up to the cat on the bookshelf.

ladeeknight - October 5, 2007 04:35 PM (GMT)
Scarlett quickly smoothered a giggle as Mark termed Bella's actions a hissy fit. She purposely turned her back to Bella so she wouldn't see. "Oh Mark, I am sorry you got hit by that book, but that was good way to save the one we want from being burried. She plucked it from his fingers and sat down in at one of the tables in this section of the library with the book flat open so everyone could see it. Scarlett turned pages until she came to what she wanted to find. The passage read:

Appearance -- The plant grows from a single stalk that rises two ft. off the ground. Before a bud appears the stalk will sprout two thick broad leaves, light green in color. When the bud appears it will hang down from the stalk. The bud is a vivid unmistakable green color taht stands out against the stalk and leaves. As the bud opens the petal of the Bell-Flower grows down out of the bud to form the bell shaped flower as opposed to opening up the way that most flowers do. As the flower matures the petal the petal continues to grow down until, upon final maturation, it flares slightly at the bottom taking on the shape for which it is named. The petal is generally white, but some color variations, from blood read to sky blue have been known to occure. As the flower matures the stamen sucretes a substance which makes the inner petal hard and smooth, so that while the outside remains soft and pourous like a rose petal, the inside feels smooth and hard like glass or even metal. As the flower matures, and the petal grows down a stamen begins to appear. It is gold, not just in color, but in actual substance. It is believed that it is produced by the hero's heart, which the flower usually grows over. The size and shape of the stamen varies from flower to flower as the heart does from hero to hero.

On the page next to this passage were beautiful illustrations of the words. Scarlett ran her hands over the beautiful drawings knowing that she had not simply missed something this lovely. The next page talked about the uses of the plant.

Properties--If harvestedas the plant is maturing the secretions from the stamen may be taken and used to give anything else the unique property of the Bell-Flower where one side of the object feels normal and the other side is as hard and smooth as stone. If the secretions are drunk ones skin can become "hard" without loosing its normal texture, for a time. An infusion from the Bell-Flower can heal any burn, even that of dragon fire which normally scars. A poltice made of a dried petal can do a lot for burns, but some scarring may remain. The stamen is of the purest gold and can be melted down and used for anything else that gold is useful for. It is considered valuable in its unmelted state as memoriabilia for the applicable hero. Pluck the Flower with care. At its chime any door may swing open. The plants greatest property is to be a catalyst for adventure. It is said to spred the seed of heroics from one generation to the next.

After reading the various uses of the Bell-flower Scarlett's heart began to pound. So much could be done with a single flower. She waited for the others to read the passages, and then said, "Well what do y'all think?"

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 5, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
Mark chuckled as Scarlett tore the book from his grasp, she sure did seem eager. He followed her over to the table and read the book over her shoulder. The plant was more amazing than anything he had ever seen in real life or even herbology. If they had studied thing like that in herbology then Mark might be scoring a better grade!
Some of the properties that the plant possesed were unbelievable, pure gold, this strange property of making things seem hard and opening any door. Mark scratched his head trying to wrap his head around it all. "So what it means is that once fuly matured the inside of the petals become hard so that the solid gold stamen can be used to form some sort of bell that opens any door....right?"
Mark wasnt sure who else here knew of the letter that Scarletts Gran had send her at breakfast the other day so he leaned in close and whispered so only she could hear. "Is that why your gran need's the flower? to open a magical door somewhere?"

ladeeknight - October 5, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
Scarlett shivered a bit as Mark's breath washed her ear and neck in a warmth that traveled to her cheeks. She focused on his words and drove all the other stupid thoughts from her mind. She turned to answer him and their faces were very close. "Thank you for your discretion. I don't want to hide anything from the people who want to help me," she said softly back to Mark and then louder to include Dream and possibly Emma. "Maybe I should fill everyone in on how I came to be looking for the Bell-Flower." So Scarlett explained how her Grammy had sent her a bat telling Scarlett that the Fairies were whispering her, Scarlett's, name and that she needed to find a Bell-Flower. Scarlett's Grammy told her that Bell-Flowers grow in the shadow of a hero's headstone and that was it. Scarlett's Grammy didn't or couldn't give her more information in the letter. So Scarlett had asked Mark and Leo if they knew of any hero's burried at Hogwarts. There answers had led them to Dumbledore's tomb with no luck finding the Bell-Flower. "That was when I decided to find out more about the flower I was looking for. Mark has an idea that the Bell Flower might be growing on Professor Snape's grave, that may or may not be on Hogwarts grounds. I don't know why I need to find this Flower, but if the Fairies are whispering my name then it is important. Maybe I haven't found the looked door that needs to be opened or maybe I will be fighting a dragon and get burned, we may just be meant for great things and this is our way of becoming heros. My Grammy is very in touch with the other world, that's what makes her such a great Seer, so if she says I need to find this flower then I do. I will need all the help that I can get, but it might be dangerous, so I will understand if anyone doesn't want to come."

dreamdancer7699 - October 6, 2007 08:45 AM (GMT)
Dream was completely lost. She'd tried listening to Scarlett as she read the properties of the plant, and what it could do, but it was long, much like Professor Alfie's explanations, and Dream found herself spacing out. As she came out of her reverie she flushed guiltily and hoped that none of the others had noticed. "So uhm... What should we do now? We gotta find a hero's grave? Well if it wasn't with Dumbledore, then it's not at Hogwarts. We're gonna have to leave the school." she said with certainty.

ladeeknight - October 7, 2007 05:25 PM (GMT)
--Scarlett

"Well Mark thinks that Professor Snape could be buried somewhere on Hogwarts grounds too. We were going to try to find his grave. I had an idea about how to do that but it might get us in a lot of trouble. I read in Hogwarts, A History that there are painting of all the past headmasters in the headmaster's office. So that means there is a portrait of Professor Snape up there too. I thought maybe we could ask him where he is buried." Scarlett looked at the others a little nervous. She didn't know how Dream would feel about sneaking, possibly breaking into her father's office to talk to a painting. And she wasn't sure how many school rules Mark was willing to break helping her on her quest.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 7, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, i thought that if anybody in hogwarts history is a hero, then its Snape!" Severus Snape was about the only Slytherin in the years past that Mark had any respect for. He had many friends from that particular house in this day and age, but the days of fighting the dark lord and his death eaters were long gone and now all the houses were on the same side.
A smile then spread across his face as Scarlett talked about her plan of finding Snapes grave. "Yeah, i think thats an awesome idea" he said with a twinkle in his eye. Mark loved an adventure and the more rules that were broken the better in his opinion! He gave a sidewayd glance at dream before continuing. "If we need to get into the office for a few minutes then im sure Dream can have a word with her dad...either that or we wait till he's gone out?" he suggested, saying the last four words quieter and slower than usual. He knew that Remy had been in to the offica and taken an orb without consent, but Mark didnt quite know how Dream would react to the rest of them sneaking in if needs be.

dreamdancer7699 - October 8, 2007 06:08 AM (GMT)
Dream listened to Scarlett's idea and she decided that no matter what the outcome of their mission was, the adventure of it all would keep her from boredom for the day so she was definitely in. Then she heard Mark's comment about her distracting her dad while they snuck into her dad's office. She shook her head a little at the suggestion. "No, Dad and I dont have idle chit chat. However I have access to an invisibility cloak. One of you can come with me into the office, and the other can stand guard and alert the others if someone's coming." she said wickedly.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 8, 2007 08:49 AM (GMT)
As Dream began to speak Mark began to feel disheartened. She told them that she didnt have idle chit chat with her father so it seemed like the plan would have to change. Then his feelings suddenly changed to that of excitement and optimsim as she mntioned the invisibility cloak. A smile spead across his face and he turned to look at Dream. "Now we're talking!" he said with enthusiasm.
He then looked across to Scarlett, the search for the bell flower was hers after all. "I guess that leaves me keeping guard then?" he said trying to keep the same optimistic tone to his voice. Mark had always been one to get into the thick of the action and hated waiting around, he was a very impatient guy in general. "I'm probably too tall to fit under it with another person anyway" he said trying to convince himself aswell as the others.

ladeeknight - October 8, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Scarlett could tell that Mark really wanted to get under that cloak. She was fond of adventure herself and she would like to see the Headmaster's office, but she thought she could stand the sacrifice if it was for a good cause. "Mark, you should go up to the office with Dream. Snape is your hero, you should be the one to ask him where he lies. And it was your idea. If it weren't for you I'd be standing by the lake staring at block of stone waiting for a flower to sprout."

dreamdancer7699 - October 10, 2007 07:16 AM (GMT)
Dream looked at Mark and Scarlett as they talked about which one of them would go with her. When Mark said he wouldn't be able to fit under the cloak with another person, she had to speak up. "You are too tall for all three of us to go in undetected however, I'm small enough to where it would cover us both if you're the one that's going to go with me." she said. She looked at her watch and said "Dad should be in the Great Hall getting something to eat right now, so it's a perfect time to do it." she added as she waited for them to decide who was going.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 12, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
Mark was stuck in a mental struggle, did he step aside and let Scarlett go into the office with dream or did he accept her offer and go in with the prefect himself? Every bone in his body was eager to check it out himself and be a part of the adventure, but it was Scarlett's quest so he wasnt exactly sure what to do.
He looked back over to Scarlett, "are you sure?" he asked half eagerly, half optermistically. "Cos once you say yes a second time, i'll get too excited and involed to turn back!" he said with a glint in his eye. He had always wanted go into the headmasters office and the chance to speak to Snape was one that he didnt wan't to miss!!

ladeeknight - October 12, 2007 09:49 PM (GMT)
Scarlett smiled at Mark, "I said yes and I ment it." He was so cute trying to be gentlemanly and considerate when he really just wanted to be in the thick of things. Scarlett knew that part of being a good leader was assigning tasks approprietly. Just because this was her quest didn't mean she had to do everything in it. And Scarlett really believed that if anyone could hustle secrets out of Severus Snape it would be his replacement Mark. "Please do this for me Mark. I know you are the best person for the job."

dreamdancer7699 - October 12, 2007 10:10 PM (GMT)
Dream watched in secret amusement as Scarlett and Mark talked about who was going to go. They were both determined to be polite about it and she just wanted to laugh at them both. When Scarlett told Mark to go again, Dream grabbed Mark's arm. "That's it. No more going back and forth. Let's do it." she said impishly. She grinned at Scarlett and said "We'll be right back. If someone is coming, then knock over the suit of armor right there." she said. Then she opened her purse and pulled Remy's invisibility cloak out of it, grateful that she had told him she was taking it today.

ladeeknight - October 12, 2007 10:30 PM (GMT)
OoC: Do you guys want to move the thread up to the headmaster's office?

Scarlett was grateful that Dream had taken charge and she envied the other girl's cool confidence. She was starting to get super anxious about this whole thing and she could bearly wait for them to be back from the office. "Ok Bella and I will walk around outside the headmaster's office and if we see anyone that looks like they are going to go up we'll knock over some armor. We are good at that." Scarlett laughted nervously. She knew she was just repeating Dream's plan, but she wanted confirmation from the older girl that she had heard the plan correctly and that Mark understood too.

dreamdancer7699 - October 12, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
OOC: No we can just RP it here so it doesnt get confusing.

BIC: Dream listened to Scarlett repeat her plan and she laughed as Scarlett said she and Bella were good at knocking over suits of armor. "I know you are." she said wickedly. Then she gave Scarlett the affirmation that she was looking for. "Sounds good and I'm glad we're all on the same page. Mark, we have 20 minutes left before lunch is over, so let's get in and get out." she said as she tossed the invisibilty cloak over them both.

ladeeknight - October 12, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
Scarlett watched as Dream and Mark disappeared. It was really quite cool to see the folds of the cloak swing down over them. Scarlett waited for five minutes counting slowly. The she called to Bella and they both left the library. Scarlett caught herself trying to move silently down the hallway but she caught herself and laughted. She was supposed to be just strolling causually along. As a matter of fact she decided to make more noise to cover any that Dream and Mark might make. So Scarlett sached down the hallway letting the heels of her platform sandals click loudly behind her.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 12, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
Mark smiled as Scarlett basically demanded that he was the one to accompany Dream. "Ok, i guess i have no choice then!" he joked in mock protest. His heart pounded extra fast as Dream retrieved the cloak from the purse and slung it over them, 'this' he thought was going to be fun.
"Twenty minutes? you think that wil be long enough? I can't imagine that Snape will be too eager to tell a couple of Gryffindors the location of his eternal rest!" he said sceptically as they set off.
Mark hurried along the hard stone floor towards the headmasters office untill he finally came to a stop infront of a large stone gargoyle. "So this is it?" then a thought came to him, "You do know the password right?" he asked hopefully.

dreamdancer7699 - October 13, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
Dream walked next to Mark as they followed Scarlett to the Headmaster's office. Hearing Mark ask if 20 minutes was enoug time, she shrugged. "It's going to have to be. I have confidence in you." she whispered to him. When they reached the office and Mark asked if she knew the password, she nodded. She leaned into the ear of the huge gryffindor that was guarding the secret staircase and she whispered the password into it. The staircase appeared and she looked over at Scarlett. She knew she wouldn't be able to see them, but she could hear them. "We're going in now, Scarlett. We'll be back soon." she said.

ladeeknight - October 13, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
Scarlett heard Dream's whisper and she walked to the other end of the hall. She drew a small pocket knife that had been a gift on her tenth birthday from her Grandaddy. Scarlett opened the blade and held it between her body and her book bag. If some appeared she to rip a hole in her bag so she would have the excuse of picking things up to buy her time.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 14, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Mark stood and waited attentively as Dream said that she knew the password. But the fact that she whispered it and Scarletts footsteps masked the noise so he couldnt hear it himself. 'Oh well, perhaps another time?' he thought to himself as he imagined the fun he could have in there with the password....'on second thoughts maybe its best that i dont know!' he reassured himself as the gargoyle swung forward and Mark stepped onto the revolving staircase which took them into the headmasters office.
The sight that met his eyes was amazing, all sorts of powerfull objects and artifacts filled the room and Mark had to remind himself that they were on a mission to stop himself from from reaching out and seing what some of them did. He looked sideways under the cloak towards dream and nodded towards the paintings on the wall. "There he is" Mark whispered as the greasy haired figure of Severus Snape stood in his picture frame talking to a wizard he recognised as Albus Dumbledore. The two of them seemed to hear something as they looked over to the spot where the two of them were stood.

dreamdancer7699 - October 14, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
Dream walked into the office, and looked around in boredom. She had seen everything in here a thousand times. Her dad really needed to get some new toys. She was about to take off the invisibility cloak when Headmaster Dumbledore and Headmaster Snape, who were speaking with each other, looked directly at her and Mark. "Crap... Do you think he'll answer our questions if he sees us sneaking in?" she whispered softly to Mark. She didn't know if it was better to stay invisible while speaking with Headmaster Snape or if they should show themselves.

Mark_EmmaWatsonFan - October 14, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
As Dream spoke the two men in the closest pictures definately realised something was hapening as both of their stares looked at the spot Mark and dream were hidden. "Who's there?" asked Dumbledore in a surprisingly friendly voice, a smile etched onto his face. This smile was a stark contrast to the twisted look that appeared on Snape's face at that moment.
"oh....errr, hi there." The smile on Dumbledores face seemed to broaden. "I was just wondering if i could talk to Headmaster Snape for a minute or two....if thats not too much trouble?" Mark pleaded. The eyebrow on Snapes left eye lifted so much it almost left his forehead. He then turned to face Dream as he considered leaving the cloak. "Are you gonna come out too? will they recognise you as Professor Rogue's daughter?"

dreamdancer7699 - October 15, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
Dream hung back a little behind Mark's shoulder, hoping that if the two Headmasters could tell who Mark was by his voice, they wouldn't know she was with them as long as she didn't speak. Then Mark asked if they would know that she was with him and she glowered at him evilly. "Well they know now, big mouth." she mumbled to him. She swung the cloak off of them both and she gave a cute, yet mischevious smile to the Headmasters. "Hi Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape. How are you both doing today?" she asked, hoping that her charm would keep them from telling her father that they had seen her in his office while he was gone, and sneaking in under an invisibility cloak at that.

ladeeknight - October 15, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
Scarlett paced the hallway feeling like time stood still. Her thoughts were so much upstairs that she almost didn't didnt notice the first year that wandered into the corridor until she heard, "Excuse me, I seem to be lost. Can you help me?" Scarlett started so badly that she almost dropped her knife, but just managed to keep it hidden.
She scraped up a smile for the youngster and directed her to the main staircase. Scarlett told herself that she needed to keep her mind on her own task of look out or this whole scheme would fall apart.

Mark smiled sheepishly when he realised that asking Dream if she was coming out too would let the headmasters know that someone was there anyway. "Sorry" he whispered to her as she pulled the invisibilty cloak off them. Mark stood there in silence for afew second waiting for Professor Snape to respond to his question. With Snape just standing there with a sceptical yet interested look on his face Dumbledore felt the need to talk to them. "Well, hello Dream, i didnt except to see you in here under such.....mysterious circumstances" he said with a smile. The look on his face let Mark know that he was used to this kind of thing from his reign as headmaster and that he probably wouldnt feel the need to tell Professor Rogue about it. "But dont mind me, If you wish to speak to Severus, pretend like im not even here." he finished as he turned away from the conversation, though Mark could tell that he was still paying just as much attention to them as before.
"Errr, ok then" Mark managed to say at last. "Well, Professor Sanpe...sir, i was just wondering if i could ask you a small favour?"
At this question Snapes eyes flashed down to the red Gryffindor crest, proudly displayed on Marks robes. "Oh a favour is it? What do a couple of little brats like you want? run out of noble and brave Gryffindor professors to help have you?" he asked with a sense of sarcasm in his voice. Mark took a sideways glance at Dream. "Well no actually sir, this is a favour that only you can help with." Mark replied and the look of suspicious interest came over Snapes face once again.
