Ankaa strolled into the library and went straight over to the shelves. She browsed for a few minutes, then selected a book and went and sat down in a quiet corner. She had her back to the wall and was facing the door. She wanted to keep an eye on who came in and hated people sneaking up behind her.

As she sat down and opeend the book she had chosen, she scanned the library to see who else was in there. She picked up the book and held it in front of her face like she was reading. To anyone who looked over at her, it would appear that she was deeply concentrated on her book 'Charm your friends, hex your enemies', although if they looked closer they would clearly see that she was just using the book as a cover while she continued to scan the room.

Remy: Slytherin's Official Future

Remy walked into the library with a great big smile on his face. He had gotten an owl from the librarian that the book he had been waiting for had arrived. He grabbed hte book and walked to the nearest table to read it. He was soon so into it he hardly noticed anyone or anything else in the library. He loved reading books by gilderoy lockhart and the book he was reading was Year with a Yeti.

Ankaa's eyes flickered up over the top of her book as she noticed Remy come in and sit down with a big, dumb grin on his face. She struggled to see the title of the book he was clutching but could clearly see Lockhart's face grinning and winking at her from the back cover. She snorted derisively and stuck out her tongue at Lockhart from behind the cover of her book. He couldn't see her of course but it made her feel better.

She watched Remy carefully for a few seconds but it seemed he was so engrossed in his new prize that he hadn't even noticed her presence. She gave it a few more minutes and then slowly stood up and crept over to the restricted section. She had a final look around but there was nobody in sight, so she disappeared down the row of dark books.

Emma was slowly walking through the restricted section, now and then looking behind to see if anyone had spotted her. She turned into a new aisle, and found the book she had been looking for. Reading it as she walked, she didnt realize that someone was standing in front of her and accidently bumped into Ankaa, sending the book falling to the ground letting out a loud scream (the book screamed). Quickly becoming red in the face, she scooped up the book, not wanting Ankaa to see what she was reading. She ran past Ankaa, and out of the restricted section, her hair a bright red color. She was about to exit out her left but saw Remy sitting there, and guessed he had heard the scream. Emma stood there not knowing what to do, if she went by Remy he would probably see her, but if she went the other way then she would pass the librarian. "Crap!" she said under her breath, and casually walked by Remy, hoping she would blend in with the other students.

Remy was so engrossed in the book in his hands he hardly noticed anything around him. He just happened to look up at the exact moment emma was trying to sneak by him but he merely smiled like he knew something but in all honesty he always smiled like that even when he didn't know anything.

Scarlett was making her nightly jaunt to the library. She had so much to catch up on. A life it seemed. She had her head buried deep in a book of remedial spells when Emma ran smack dab into her, while appearently trying to sneak by Remy, who had a goofy grin on his face. Scarlett stumbled and dropped her book in Remy's lap, but didn't see where it went. She assumed the book lying at Emma's feet it so she reached for it, all the while apologizing for not looking where she was going.

Ankaa spun round as Emma bumped into her and dropped her book. She didn't get a good look at the cover and then Emma scurried off out of the restricted aisle. She then heard a commotion further over in the library and decided this was an ideal opportunity to grab the book she wanted without anyone noticing.

She scanned the shelves to see where the book would be and spotted it high over her head. There were no steps in the aisle so she braced a foot on shelves either side of the aisle and started to climb up until she was level with the shelf she wanted. She quickly unchained the book from it's shelf and stuffed it inside her robes and started back down the shelves again. She ran silently to the end of the row and peeped out to see who was around. She could just see Remy still engrossed in his book but from her position, she couldn't see anyone else.

As Scarlett was reaching for the book at Emma's feet she was distracted by a long tendril of purple hair snaking out of the Forbidden Section of the library. Her hand hovered over the book as she wondered at the site. Had some magical creature gotten loose in the library?

Emma was surprised to see Scarlett in front of her, basically coming right at, unable to stop, Emma ran right into her..knocking the books down. Uttering some chosen words under her breath, Emma quickly realized her book was lying at her foot. Seeing that Scarlett saw the book too, Emma grabbed the book quickly and tucked it away in her school bag, deciding that she could look at it later. "Oh I'm so sorry!" she said, blushing a light pink color. She glanced at Remy to see if he had noticed anything but was happy to see him with a stupid smilie on his face. Looking around for Scarletts book, she noticd Ankaa in the Restricted Section. She hadnt realized that it was Ankaa when she ran into her, and was beginning to wonder why the girl was in there. She quickly walked over, and entered the section, finding Ankaa quickly.."Do you have a pass to be in here, because if not, you shouldnt be in here!" she said firmly, walking towards Ankaa.

Scarlett was surprised and slightly perturbed by Emma grabbing the book she thought was hers out from under her hand. "Hey Emma, I think you've got my book..." she said following Emma to the forbidden section of the library. The words died on her tongue, however when she came up to Emma talking to the owner of the purple hair. It was not a magic creature but a witch. "Wow, your hair is beautiful," Scarlett stammered to the witch totally interupting Emma. Scarlett couldn't help herself. She had never seen hair like it before.

Emma still gripped tightly onto her bag.."No..your book went over towards Remy! I know this is my book, I checked the title!" she said firmly. She wanted her book to stay in her bag. She knew where her book went as soon as she dropped it. "Just trust me!" she added, and then looked back at Ankaa.."Yes you hair looks wonderful, but why are you in this section?"

When Scarlett saw how defensive Emma had become about the book she knew something must be up. Little Miss Perfect Prefect must be walking the line of the school rules, Scarlett thought affectionately. She hoped Emma would include her in any adventure that spawned from that book. She would ask Emma later, but not until they were alone. For now she had to know the secret of purple hair. Scarlett didn't want it for herself but something about it intrigued her. She put out her hand to the new witch and said, "My name is Scarlett, pleased to meet you."

Remy growled as he looked up from his book once more, there was way too much noise going on and having a book he really wanted to read in his hands the noise was really annoying. "Hey keep the noise down" he shouted loudly as he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder. Remy turned to see the librarian tsking him. "sorry" he said apologizing.

Scarlett heard Remy's ironic cry for quiet and turned to look at him. It was then that she noticed her book in his lab where it had fallen when she bumped into Emma. Note to self, she thought, after I am done finding out about purple hair I need to get that book back.

Remy pouted as the librarian pointed him in to a different section of hte library and after grabbing his stuff he quickly left. He had picked up scarletts book by accident as well but being in such a hurry to leave he had not noticed the extra book he now had in his possession. He sat down in a comfy chair near a window on the other side of the library.

Ankaa groaned to herself as first Emma then Scarlet came over to where she was supposedly hiding. She smiled at Scarlett as she introduced herself and complimented her hair

"Hi Scarlett, I'm Ankaa and thanks for liking my hair. It took me ages to get it this colour, but now it's exactly how I want it except it seems to have a life of it's own sometimes."

Ankaa then turned to Emma and said "Oh you know how I am about books. I got fed up of reading the same old boring stuff, so I popped down here to see if I could find anything interesting. I heard all your kerfuffle over there and was just waiting for the librarian to rip someone's head off." She put her hands up in the air and hoped her hidden book would stay in place

"OK, you got me out of bounds. You gonna put me in detention or what?" She smiled at Emma, hoping that she'd got away with it.

"I know what you mean about hair having a mind of its own," Scarlett said patting her glossy black waves. They cascaded becomingly past Scarlett's shoulders to the middle of her back. In fact, Scarlett was fairly sure there was not a hair out of place, for she took considerable pride in her personal apearance, but she wanted to keep the conversation light, hoping that Emma would get swept away with the chatter and not give Ankaa detention. "And how about you Emma, your hair must have a mind of its own to? Its a different color almost every time I see you. What is your secret?" Scarlett asked the Ravenclaw prefect.

Emma rolled her eyes when she heard Remy yell. Hearing what Scarlett said she, let out a little laugh.."I'm a metamorphagus!" she said, quickly changing her hair to the exact same color of Ankaa's and changing her face to Ankaa's too. After a couple of seconds, she turned her appearence back to her usual, and looked at Ankaa, she waved her hand dismissly.."Just dont get into trouble, because if I hear that you do, you will have so many detentions.." she said as her sentence went on. Turning her back, she walked out of the restricted section, and went to the area Remy was in. Walking up behind him, she closed his book, knowing that she was irritating him.."Hi, I heard you yell..I didnt know Slytherins really read..that must be a pretty good book!" she said jokingly, and sat down in a chair across from Remy.

Remy looked up as his book was shut. He grinned as he saw emma and whispered "what were the girls doing in the restricted section" letting emma know he had noticed it but done nothing. He smiled as he heard emma mention slytherins and reading and he slowly opened the book and lockhart began speaking. "its an audiobook, its why i wanted it quiet" he explained to emma.

Ankaa laughed as Emma transformed into her. Damn she was good, it was like looking into a mirror.

"Geez, I never realised my ears stuck out so much" she laughed. She too was trying to detract from where she had just been.

"Scarlett your hair's really nice, how do you keep it so tidy?" she moved behind her to take a good look at it and as she did so she stepped over the boundary from the restricted section into the main library and the book hidden inside her jacket let out a wail like a very loud siren. Ankaa froze, there was no way she could hide the book now, not with two prefects in the room anyway.

Emma smiled at Remy's comment.."I think they were just snooping around..but dont worry.." she said but stopped when she heard a loud wail and looked over to see Ankaa just stepping out of the restricted section. "I am going to kill that girl one of these days!" Emma said under her breath, and walked calmly over to Ankaa, taking out her wand. She pointed it at Ankaa, and said.."Accio Book!". She watched as a book struggled to get away from Ankaa, but eventually flew into Emma's hands. Snapping the book shut, she heard the wail begin to fade. She looked over where Remy was and saw the librarian peeking out of the bookshelves to see what was going on. Emma smiled and childlshy waved at the librarian to tell her everything was fine. Flipping over the book in her hands, she read the title..."The Dark Arts of Love." she read outloud. She looked up at Ankaa, and said.."Why do you even want this?" she asked jokingly, as she put the book in her school bag, laying it next to the book she took out.

Remy grinned as he heard emma say the tittle. "wow is that a love book or something" he said trying hard not to smile. He grabbed his book and tried to remember what page he had been on, his book was just getting interesting as gilderoy had just met up with the yeti. Remy could not wait to see what would happen next.

Ankaa blushed furiously as Emma read out the title of the book she had been about to steal.
"Well, the thing is, I was only getting it for a friend of mine..., someone had asked..., well it doesn't matter now, she stammered hopelessly as she saw the book disappearing into Emma's bag. whatever she did, she knew she just had to get the book back.

She turned away from everyone, waiting for her face to cool down and trying to regain some composure

Emma felt the pulll of her school bag and knew that it was getting heavy by now having to hold two big books. Before she knew what was happening, her book bag ripped and spilled across the floor of the library. She noticed the book she picked out laying right across from Ankaa. Quickly pulling out her wand, she said "Accio books" and watched as her book, along with Ankaa's book came flying at her. She placed Ankaa's book on top of hers, and held them to her chest, so no one could see the title of her book. She then began to pick her bag up, and try to fix it.

Ankaa's face finally stopped burning up and she turned back round just in time to see Emma's bag jettison it's contents everywhere. Emma quickly retrieved her books and cluthched them tightly to her. Ankaa started to pick up pencil, parchment and other things that had also fallen from the bag.

She handed everything back to Emma and tried to sneakily check the title of her book but Emma was holding it too tightly.

"What you reading Em? Ankaa asked innocently. "I hope it's not another of Lockhart's, they're spreading round here like a disease."

Ankaa wondered if Emma would tell them what book she had but she doubted it, from the way she was grasping it and the look on her face, it must have been something either embarrassing or forbidden.

"Thanks" Emma said, as she watched Ankaa pick up the pencils, and place them back in the bag. "Oh the book..I'm..umm..just doing a little research..ummm..its just on medicine!' she said quickly, and handed Ankaa's book back to her.."Hear you might as well keep thiss" she said with a grin, and laided her book on the table. She reorganized her ripped back, and fixed it with a simple household spell. She looked down when she accidently bumped her book on the floor, and it opened up screaming. "Crap" she said, grabbing the book and placing it back on the table. She blushed when she looked back up at everyone. "It's called Dark Medicine, Magic and the Un-known!"

Remy put his book away and grinned. "Dark Medicine, Magic and the Un-known!" remy muttered as he looked at emma. "that book sounds interesting, i think you should go read it as soon as you can, i wouldn't mind having someone i know learn a bit more on how to help people out" he said as he looked at the girls.

Scarlett had been about to answer Ankaa's question with, "One hundred strokes a day with the a brush made of white tiger whiskers," when the book in Ankaa's hand started screaming. She put her hands over her ears as Emma came around the corner. Scarlett stood by silently as the perfect confenscated the book Dark Love Book. She stiffled a giggle when Emma's bag burst from it's burden of secrets, her own and Ankaa's. Scarlett tried to see the title of Emma's book when it fell to the floor, but Emma was too quick. Emma had all her things together and had given Ankaa back her book when she knocked her own book screaming to the floor. After this she confessed her book was a book about Dark Medicine. A little thrill went down Scarlett's spine. Was it the Dark Magic or the Medecine that excited her so? She was afraid of the answer. To cover her confusion she asked Emma, "Are you studin' be a Doctor?"

Emma looked at Scarlett.."Yea becoming a healer is the plan!" she said with a small smile. "And yea Remy, it is really interesting. Notice I said interesting, not fun!" she exclaimed.."It is a very crude book, but it has many important facts in it. The first one starting with this!" she said as she opened the book, and turned to the 22nd page. Pointing at a line of hyrogliphics, she asked.."Remy, do you know what that says?" she looked around at the others and then continued.."It says "There is Danger at School, beyond 3 bookcase, open book 29 and be warned by what you find!". Looking around, she then added.."I have been trying to find book 29 for a while, and I think I might have just found it tonight." grinning, she pointed at Ankaa's book.

Remy looked at emma with an odd look on his face as he heard her say something about a strange book in the library. After being sent to countless other dimensions and lands he of all people knew the danger of having a strange book in one's hand in fact wasn't that the exact same way he had conjourned up the dark lord who had taken him and dalejin over when they were both first years. "what do you mean by strange was all he said though.

Ankaa held onto the book nervously now that Emma had said it might
be dangerous.
"Er, I don't know anything about this book being a danger to the school" she stammered "I was only trying to help out a friend. Maybe I should just look inside it to see what it's all about. All I know is I got an owl from my friend David, asking me to check inside for something for him."

Ankaa put the book down on a nearby table and moved to open the cover, but her hand hovered over it before she finally grasped the book and wrenched it open. The book let out another almighty wail and she quickly slammed it shut and spun round to face the others.

"Does anyone know how to shut that thing up?" she demanded "There's no way I can examine it with that racket going off!"

"We could try 'Muffuliato' (sp?) on everone around, "Scarlett suggested, "and just deal with the noise ourselves. Or we could take it someplace else where the noise isn't so distracting. That thing sounds like the cries of the danmed." :firedevil:

Remy pulled out his wand and muttered "muffliato" so the librarian wouldn't kick them out of the place. He looked at teh girls and grinned "hmmm maybe one of you needs to stroke the spine of the book" he wondered what there reaction to his idea would be because he knew for a fact he wasn't going to be rubbing any part of a screaming book himself.

Scarlett gave Remy a sideways look from beneath her lashes. So Remy wasn't man enough to stroke the book... "Why Remy," she purred teasingly "How gallant of you to volunteer one of us girls to stroke the scary magic book. I'm not afraid." Scarlett raised one perfectly manicured red fingernail and made to stroke the spine of the book with it, waiting to see if Remy would take the bait and stroke it himself or just let her do it.

Emma watched as Scarlett began to stroke the book, her gaze directed more at the book than Scarlett. After a couple of seconds of stroking, the book gave one more painful yell as it opened up, and then collapsed back into itself. Looking at Scarlett, she smiled and tried to open the book. To her surprise, it was quiet as she flipped through the pages. "So where do you think I could find the dangerous item?" she asked sarcastically, she still didnt believe in the danger, curiosity had just gotten the best of her to look for it.

After giving Remy a moment to step up and be a man Scarlett sighed and caressed the spine of the book. It cried out and fell open in Emma's hand. "Guess it just needed a woman's touch. We could start with the table of contense," Scarlett suggested in answer to Emma's question. She turned to book to the front and was shocked by the illustration of a man and woman tangled naked on a bed. Scarlett's face blazed and she snapped the book shut looking down not wanting to meet the gaze of anyone else who might have seen the illustration too. :blush:

Remy grinned as he saw the scarlett caress the book. He knew the girls thought he was a coward and he himself would have thought the same if he was in there place. He saw the illustration and promptly accioed the book to himself and shook his head. "I don't think this book is very appropiate and should be taken back to the forbidden section where it obviously belongs". He began walking back to the forbidden section and grinned as he remembered what emma's book had said about the book he held in his hand. "danger to the school, be warned by what you find", "oh yea we did find something dangerous an adult book that is very inappropiate for young children" remy thought to himself as he walked into the forbidden section and placed it back where it belonged.

Ankaa giggled as she peeped over Scarlett's shoulder and saw the illustration insude the book. When Remy snatched it away and took it back to the restricted section, Ankaa looked puzzled.

She looked at Emma and Scarlett "I don't really beleive that that particular book was a danger to the school, do you? I say we keep on looking for it. If there's a few of us, we're bound to have more chance of finding it!"

Ankaa made moves to follow Remy

"Sure Ankaa, I'll help you look." Scarlett said. "Emma, what made you think taht was book 29?" Scarlett privately thought that that book would have a somewhat higher number assigned to it.

Emma saw the illustration and went to reach for the book, but saw Remy had already accio. She didnt wait to see how the others reacted, she saw that he was headed back to the restricted section and quickly ran up to him. "Ok..obvisouly that isnt the book!" she said with a roll of the eyes.."I think it came from over there..put on the highest shelf!" she said with a grin, pointing to a row of books to their left.
