Mari sat in her minilab, which had actually once been a classroom but was now bewitched and was filled with high tech looking things. Mari was wearing a white labcoat leaning over a strange headgear machine. Today she would find out if her experiment would work!

Olivia walked in to find Mari surrounded by weird experement stuff and dressed even weirder "Um, Mari, are you ok cause my dads a therapist..." she walked around, tapping a few things and oooing and ahing at some random stuff "Is anything in here gonna expload?"

Mari jumped at the sound of a voice and looked up to see Olivia, "no no I'm fine really, I just think I've invented something really cool! I just need someone to test it out on!"
She took off her observer goggles, and cleaned invisible dirt off her white coat, "want to be my tester?"

"Um, what is it SUPPOSED to do?" she asked, looking at Mari with an expresion that said 'if i get deformed in any way by your experament, im sueing, or killing'

"Well, I don't think it'll deform you," Mari grinned, "it's called a Dream Machine, it makes someone go to sleep and it'll let other people see and perhaps, if my calculations are right, go into the dream... I think we should wait for someone else to join us, but while we wait, I'll show you what all the buttons on the machine do... Would you be willing to be my tester?"

"Mari! Maaariii!" Samara burst into the room. "Finally! Took me ages to find this place, you couldn't give better directions? Now why did you ask me to come--" she blinked around. "Merlin's pants...what's going on in here?" Whatever it was it was extremely startling. It looked like muggle technology...

"Ok, il do it, but only cuz I want other people to see what crazy dreams I have..." Olivia said "HI Samara" She added as she burst into the room "I better not get deformed..."

Mari smiled as Sam appeared, "Excellent more testers..."
Mari rubbed her hands together manically and grinned at them, "Would you guys mind stepped onto the platform and into the experimental chairs?"

"Excuse me?" Samara folded her arms. "I am not stepping into anything, Mari Maeda, and that's that. I'll just watch. I don't want anything messing with my brain."

Mari gave Sam a puppy look and slumped, "Aww please, it won't mess with you I can 99% promise it! All it does is allow me to see your dreams!"
"Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase?" Mari grinned.

Samara froze.

"M-my--er--that's not really--why don't we just watch Olivia's?!" she stammered. "I'm sure hers are perfectly good dreams--for--well--studying..."

"Why?" Mari crossed her arms, "Okay if you and Olivia show your dreams, you guys can test it on me... Okay with that? Besides, I promise that whatever we see in the dreams will be kept between us! Okay?"
Mari grinned and held up the head cover object, "Ready?"

Emma ran down the corridors, her hair pinned up into a bun, a slightly different color then her normal, skidding to a stop she turned the corner and saw Mari. "I did it..I did it!" she yelled jumping up and down. "I finally morphed and controled it!! Look my hair is a black color!!" she yelled..jumping up and down. "Oh..and sorry I'm late..Marcus had my note!" she said with a grin.."So we are doing something with Dreams??"

Mari grinned wider as she saw Emma come in, "Well I'm doing an experiment on Olivia and Sam, want to join? It allows me to see into your dreams... and MAYBE allows me to enter them!"
She rubbed her hands together and pointed at the platform, "Want to join? Nice hair color by the way."

Emma looked from Mari to the machine. "Sure..cant be worse than being a troll!" she said with a laugh..and then thought of something.."Wait are you sure your calculatoins are correct because..no offense but you arent in Ravenclaw for a reason!" she said with a grin.

"Smart people can be in Gryffindor," Sam murmured to herself. Then she sighed at Mari's terms and shook her head. "Look, you only need two people, and there's three of us. I'll stay back and keep an eye on things in case something goes wrong."

"Er, okay," Mari shrugged at Sam and glared at Emma, "Excuse me, are you trying to say I'm stupid? I'm 99% sure this will work!"
She threw a helmet at Olivia and Emma, "you guys gonna do it or not? Sam will be my assistant!"

((OOC: to be in Sam's dreams is not a happy place. But if you want to find out about them, you can try and talk her into doing it. :) ))

Samara nodded in confirmation and stood next to Mari. "So how's this all work? I mean, what's the main principle behind it? Did you work from scratch? Is this the main panel? Oh!" She prodded a knob lightly out of curiosity.

"No actually," Mari grinned at Sam, "I actually rebuilt it from a broken one that my dad made, he's a muggle engineer, so it wasn't made with magic..."
Mari smiled, "It was functioning when I got my hands on it, but you know some stuff would go on the fritz or the buttons were falling out... I didn't really invented, so don't think I'm some genius, 70% of it was my dad."

Sam nodded impatiently, currently examining a button that's just popped off its screw and is bouncing around in the air attached by a wobbly wire. "Right, right, but do you have his plans or, or something? I'd love to see them."

Emma sighed.."I didnt say you are stupid Mari. Gosh, you know I highly respect you!" taking a look at the helmet thrown at her.."I just dont exactly trust this thing..I wouldnt trust it even if Sam built it. No offense..but maybe Sam should take my place and I will help Mari out!" she said with a very, cute convincing smile and tossed the helmet to Sam!

"Pah!" Sam failed to catch the helmet and it clattered to the floor. "Mari, you only really need one person anyways!" She couldn't take the risk of people seeing her dreams...

Mari sighed angrily, "Fine! If you guys want to be chickens! Olivia is perfectly willing to do it aren't you Olivia?"
She smiled at the younger girl, "Let's take a look at your dreams!"

Emma agreed with Sam and got a little mad when she was called a chicken.."Well, I like Sam, have no desire to let you see into my dreams..and I, also like Sam agree that you only need to start out with one person, if everything goes fine then I will reconsider." Emma said very stubbornly, walking over and sitting on a nearby stool.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah. I have nothing to worry about, all my dreams are stupid and entertaining" Olivia said, yawning (sorry its not that long, im multitasking)

Mari grinned, "Well there we are! Now Olivia if you will..."
Mari led the girl to the platform where a chair that looked like a dentist office chair was and grinned at her, "Sit here and put on the helmet, then we shall commence the experimenting!"
Mari clapped her hands gleefully.

"Uh, ok"
She sat down on the chair and put on the helmat "So, what do I do now?" she asked

"Just sit back and relax, alright? Slowly the noise of the buttons and movements will lull you to sleep and this screen," Mari tapped it with her manicured finger, "will show your dreams!"
"Now, Sam," Mari nodded to her, "Please move down the lever on the left of you... And Emma, press begin!"

Emma yelled.."Sweet Dreams!" to Olivia, and hit the button. She turned around and watched eagerly to see what would happen next. She started to hear and see buttons light up all around the room.

"All right, I will--what's its function?" Sam asked first. She wanted to know what the lever did before she pulled it. "Does it trigger the internal spark to get the machine spinning?"

"Smart girl," Mari patted Sam's head, "you guessed it all by yourself, now pull that lever or we'll never get started!"
Mari then turned to Olivia, "now slowly, close your eyes and imagine you're simply floating..."

Olivia fell aslepp like this *Snaps fingers*.
She started to have another one of her odd dream...

~Dream~
Olivia was sitting on a very large book titled 'This is a book!'. The place that the book was in looked alot like the Platform 9 and 3 quarters. "Well, this is new..." Olivia said, jumping off the book

Mari stared at the blank screen and realized that Sam had not yet pulled the lever, "SAM PULL THE LEVEL HURRY UP!"
Mari grinned at her and make a 'hurry up' gesture, wanting to desperately see if she would be able to see Olivia's dream as her father had suggested.

"Oh-my-god."Olivia said, looking at the train that had just pulled in "The train-is made-of- marshmellow!"
she took a bite out of it. "Mmmmmmmmmmm"

Emma watched the dream..and couldnt help but laugh. Covering her mouth, to stop the sound as if it would wake Olivia up. Finally, she couldnt do it any more, and laughed out so loud, falling into a near by chair.."I wish my dreams were that entertaining!" she said with a grin.

All of the sudden, a giraff came out of the train and started laughing like Emma
"Ok then..." Olivia said, raising an eye brow

Mari had pulled the lever for Sam, who didn't seem to be understanding and laughing just as much as Emma.
"Hmm... let's see if we can add anything to her dream..." Mari looked at the millions of buttons, "Ahha!"
Mari pressed the button she had selected and on the screen, instantly, a lollipop sprouted from the ground next to Olivia.

"Oooh..let me add one!" Emma said looking at all the buttons, she pushed one that made cotton candy dump onto Olivia's head. "Wicked!" Emma said satisfied.

"Hey, what with the lolly pop? and the cotton candy!" Olivia said "Stop messing with my dream! It'll get better!"
Just as she said that, Tom riddle, Greaoge Weasly, Draco Malfoy, Harry potter, Ron Weasly, 3 more Tom Riddles, another George Weasly, or was it Fred Weasly, whatever. and Cedric Diggory appeared. "Yeah" Olivia said, sitting down

Mari giggled as Olivia complained and imagined herself all the guys she crushed on.
"Alright let's bother Olivia a bit," Mari whispered and pressed a button that said 'girlify'.
Suddenly all the guys in the room were wearing dresses, prancing around the room, and talking about tea parties.
