The attack of the blueish green beetles, every year or so they show up and get into peoples houses. I was wondering if anyone knows what attracts them and how do you keep them away.
Anyone know? I would be glad for any info.
These beetles even scare my dog. what can I do to keep them away.
These strange beetles if bothered or scared let of a bad smell and if you get it on you, the place where the spray hits you will start to feel a burning.
The smell they leave behind is kind of like a putrid scent and hard to discribe but if you ever smell it you will never forget that smell for as long as you live.
The smell that comes closest to it is limberger cheese.
If they walk on you it feels like there are little needles going into your skin.
These beetles would make a great horror story that is for sure.so let me know if you seen any, and I will let you all know if I find out what they are called, and what can be done to keep them away.

Jenna thanks for the help but I think I found out what it is called.
The catepiller hunter beetle, but there was nothing said about them having a bad smell or their spit burning you. So that may not be their name.
