Drake was walking up the stairs to the owlery with his newly purschased female miniature snowy owl on his arm and a little bit of food in his hand. He was almost jumping with glee, he now had an owl. He looked at his owl and smiled. Then he quickly frowned.

Drake hadn't thought of a name for his owl. That would be a problem he would have to fix quickly. No one, or nothing, should be nameless. Him he looked around as he reached the owlery.

He walked over to the only open owl spot and set his little owl there. "There ya go. Hope you like it, I'll bring some stuff later so you can make it more homey. Now i'm truely sorry about the name thing. I really hadn't thought about it when I went to purchase an owl. Trust me I'll have the perfect name for you by tommorow." He said to his snowy owl.

She truely was a beautiful owl. With his smooth white feather and big blue eyes. Drake set the handful of owl food next to his owl and told her, "Its not alot but it will do for now. I'll get you a food bowl and a water bowl tommorow." Then he sat down to think about a name for her.

Jenna ran up the stairs to the Owlery. She had a letter to send to her mother and was intent on sending it before she forgot. When she got up the stairs she swung open a door and it hit something behind it. When Jenna looked behind the door she noticed a person. "Ohmygosh!" She said dropping the letter. "I'm so sorry." She bent down. He had a bruise on his head. "Are you OK? Did I do that?" She asked wondering if the door made the bruise or not.

All of a sudden a door hit Drake's head. He reached and winced as he felt the bruise. Then he turned to find a beautiful first year Gryffindor girl standing there looking as if she at him almost in tears.

His owl started hooting at the girl. "Hello, I'm Drake. You must be new, I'm asuming, because I haven't seen you around before. Don't worry I'm not hurt that bad just a bruise. It'll heal. If your here to mail a letter don't let me stop you. I'm just trying to give this little owl her a name" Drake said as he reached out to shake her hand then pointed to his owl when he menchioned her.

Jenna smiled still feeling bad about hitting him with the door. She shook his hand. "I'm Jenna." She said introducing herself. "Nice to meet you. Nice owl. Pretty." She smiled again and brushed her long black hair out of her eyes. "They really shouldn't have a door here..." She said. Jenna looked around on the floor for the letter she had dropped and found it just as an owl picked it up and flew out the window with it. "Well then," She said as if she had nothing else to do. And the fact of the matter was, she didn't. Jenna sat down on the hay that was lying on the ground and put her legs off to the side of her. "Are you sure your OK? I mean, If your not I'll take you to the Hospital wing..." She said. Jenna felt really really really bad about hitting him. She felt so bad that a tear ran down her cheek.

Drake said, "Thanks." As he watched an owl come an swoop up the girls letter. "I'm really fine, thanks. No need to go anywhere." When Drake saw she started to cry he walked over to her sat beside her on the hay. Then wiped the tear from her eye and said, "No need to cry over me. I know how you can make it up though. You help me name my owl and I'll forget you ever even opened the door." He said with a smile.

"I just got her yesterday and totaly forgot about pickling out a name. She really does need one. By the way what's your name? You are a first year right?" Drake liked first years. They always had great ideas and imaginations.

Jenna smiled then fell back on the hay. "You'll never be able to forget I opened the door! She said throwing her hands up in the air. "I'm a very hard person to forget about!" She said as she laughed. Jenna thought for a bit then stated in a clear voice, "You want a sucker?" She said as she took two out of her backpack. Jenna looked at his owl which now was standing by her feet with it's head tilted. "What's a good name for an owl?" She said aloud. "You could name her fluffy!" She said hinking of what other people had named their dogs over by where she lived. Suddenly Jenna's owl Munchie flew back in with a letter in return to hers. Jenna hadn't even realized how long she had been there. It had been almost three and a half hours. "Whow..." She smiled as Munchie came and flew up to her with a letter and a large parcel. Jenna opened the parcel first. Dress robes and some extra money. They were really nice blue dress robes, very light and a little bit ruffled at the end. Jenna stuffed the money in her pocket and held out the letter to her owl. He loved opening letters. Munchie tore the paper off and Jenna read the letter aloud. It wasn't very long. "Thanks... Mum N' Pop" She said, "Wow... Great letter eh?"

Myia knew she had to finally get her owl up to the Owlery or face problems with a
roommate when she finally got one. Myia's red breasted owl sat pirched on her shoulder as she walked up the stairs to the Owlery. " I still haven't figured out what to name you." She said as she turned her head to look at her owl. " I'm sorry... I just wish it would come to me." She reached the top of the stairs and stopped for a moment. She looked out into the distance and scanned it, "What a beautiful view it will have from up here." She thought. Her owl hopped down from her shoulder and pirched itself on the ledge. She tweetered a light tweet of approval. "I guess that means you agree." she said with a smile. The owl took flight into the afternoon sky, she needed to stretch her wings a bit bfore trying to settle in. What a graceful sight she was to watch, her wings danced across the sky. She was quite beautiful. When she landed back on the ledge she tweeted at Myia once again." Did you enjoy the stretch? I'm sorry I know you've been unable to do that in a few days. You looked so graceful." she told her owl. She stood there staring at her owl, something so familiar had come to Myia, her owl had vivid green eyes. Much like the eyes of her mother, how odd that was. The name had come to her as well. "I will call you Grace. You have beauty and strength. You have my mother's eye, looking into them gives me a sense of peace like I have never felt before." She said as she picked up her owl. Grace tweetered a little song as she nodded her head in approval. "Let's go find you a spot in your new home for the school year, but you can come stay with me any time." She said as she opened the door.

Myia opens the door slowly. "Oh, I'm sorry I can come back later." She says as she notices Jenna sitting with a boy. " I just wanted to get Grace, my owl, settled in, but if now is not a good time we can wait for a little bit." Myia says as she reaches into her pocket and pulls out an owl treat to give Grace as she waits for an answer.

October walked in and put her hands on her hips. Jenna again. She bent down and whispered into Drake's ear, "Careful Drakey! She bites!" October sat down beside him on the other side. Oct smiled and laughed. "What's up?" She asked glaring a little bit at Jenna but not enough to be noticable.

Myia decides since they probably weren't paying attention or didn't hear her she would quietly walk in. "Ok Grace let's put you here for now. " As she placed her on a pirch. " If I have to we can figure out another spot for you later. Here are some treats for you they should last til the late morning. I'll come after breakfast to check on you. If I don't come later. You enjoy yourself and stay out of trouble. I'll leave my window open in case you want to come sit in your cage." She whispers to Grace, " I love you sweetie" Grace tweeters softly back to Myia. Myia walks back out of the Owlery apparently unnoticed.

Hours later.....
Myia heads up to the Owlery to check on Grace. She arrives and finds Grace is not there. " Where could she be?" she thinks to herself. " She must have gone hunting as she notices the food she had left her was gone. Myia leaves a little disappointed, but decides she'll just come in after breakfast tomorrow. She heads down to the Great Hall for dinner.

Mwiley went up to the owlry to visit her owl NightFeather and came across three of her fellow students inside. "Hey guys," she said, as NightFeather came and landed on her shoulder as soon as she had sighted Mwiley. "I see you're enjoying your new owl Drake?" she smiled, "What have you decided to name her?" Mwiley extended her hand, and the little owl climbed onto her arm, reconizing her from the pet shop she had spent the last couple weeks in. "Hello darling," she greeted the tiny pet and stroked her with a single finger softly. "How are you liking your new living arrangements?" The owl hooted happily and Mwiley took that as a yes. Nightfeather, however began to nip at her ear, getting jealous of Mwiley's attention towards the other owl. Not wanting to upset her owl, she gave the tiny owl back to Drake and began to feed Nightfeather the treats she had brought up for her. "You ready for tonight?" she asked her pet, setting her down on one of the roosts.

Drake didn't notice as a girl stood with her head in the door saying she would come back later. Although he did notice as October walked in a whispered in his ear. "Hi October. I think I'll take my chances." Drake just noticed that he had been in the owlery for about 4 hours now. He should probaly get going. So he stood up but just as he did so the girl that came by early walked in. Drake thought about going over and saying hi when in walked Mwiley."Heyo. I sertanly am. " Drake thought for a second then answered the second question. "Well no not really, but I've been thinking about calling her Dragon." Drake smiled at what he said. Drake watched as his little owl sat on Mwiley's arm. As his owl flew over to his shoulder he said, "Yep, thats what I think I'll call her Dragon. " Drake petted his owl and asked, "Do you like the name?" She hooted in a singsong sorta way so he asumed it ment yes. When he looked over at Jenna She wasn't there. 'She must have got tired and left' Drake thought to himself.

October laughed at him, "You will will you?" She smiled, "Everyone bites you know... You could just be the one person who everyone decides they wanna bite! Then what'll happen huh? Will you go around with human teethe marks all over your arms?" She teased him slightly.

It had been a whole day last time Drake had visited his new owl. He was sure she would be upset with him. As he walked up to the owlery he carried with him a bowl with owl food in it and an empty bowl.

Drake opened up the door and headed over to his miniature snowy owl, Dragon. She hooted in excitment when she saw him walk over to her. Drake set the food bowl down next to her. She started eating it right away. Then he set the empty bowl down and took out his wand and said, "Aguamenti." The bowl filled up with water. Dragon then started drinking out of her new water bowl. After she finished she hooted happily and flew over to Drake's out stretched hand.

Drake patted her head and said, "That's much better huh. Sorry I didn't come early." Drake sat on the stack of hay next to him with Dragon still in his hand.

Cara flew in through the owlery window and ruffled her white feathers. she spotted drake through her large green eyes and hobbled over, not used to walking using owl legs. she hooted softly up at him, meaning to say hello. then, remembering she was an owl, she nipped his finger affectionately.

"Do you want..." Just then a white owl flew into the owlery window. The owl hopped walked over to Drake. As the owl bite his finger affectionatly Drake said, "Hello." Drake didn't know it was Cara and thought it only to be someone's owl. Drake petted the new owl. Dragon gave Drake a nip at the finger, which was almost unoticed. "Sorry Dragon." Drake then started petting Dragon again.

Cara hopped over to dragon and hooted at her then flew up adn landed lightly on drake's shoulder, hooting softly, meaning to tell him how it feels to fly. she blinked down at dragon and started hooting to her about something...... SHE STARTED TO GET BORED SO SHE HOPPED OFF AN- (caps lock lol) d TRYING TO GET USED TO USING OWL LEGS. (grr caps lock again) she started walking in circles around drake.

The owl hooted at Dragon. She looked scared of the much bigger snowy owl.The strange owl flew onto Drake's shoulder. Then started hooting at him. It almost sounded as though the owl was trying to say something to him. After the owl stopped hooting like crazy at Dragon. Dragon took flight and flew up to the ceiling. "Its okay Dragon. She didn't mean to scare you. Come back down here!" Draon some what reluctantly came down to Drake's shoulder as the other one jumped off. Owl, or as Drake started calling the strange owl, started walking in circles around him. "Hey whatcha doing now?"

Cara frowned and hooted,telling dragon TO COME DOWN HERE AND WHO SHE WAS, HOPING THAT HE WOULD COME DOWN. SHE LO(caps lock again) oked up at drake and hooted then started walking again, this time falling over, and hooting indignately.

Drake watched as the strange owl once again started walking. this time it fell over. Drake giggled abit then said, "Its okay, all people, or animal I should say, fall sometimes." Drake picked up the owl and turned her right side up then set her down. Dragon started to calm down and noticed that the owl wasn't really an owl at all put an animagi. She bite Drake's ear softly then hooted and flapped her small wings towards the snowy owl. Drake knew Dragon was trying to tell him something but didn't know what. He then wished he had Dream's powers to understand animals. Drake for the first time looked into the Owl's green eyes and relized that he knew those eyes from somewhere but couldn't remember where.

Cara glared at the owl and hooted at her. she then noticed drake looking inot her eyes and realised that he might recognize them. oh dang she thought and looked away, walked around behind drake and glared at dragon again. she squaked really loudly kuz she stepped in something that didnt feel too nice. she jumped around on one leg for a few minutes then looked reproachfully at drake with her leg held out on front of her.

Drake watches as the owl steps in some gum. It hops around for awhile then holds its leg out to Drake. He pulls out his wand and flicks it making the wod of gum dissapear. Drake stands up and tries to think about where he saw those green eyes before. Yes that was it Cara! "Your Cara aren't you? I think I remember her telling me she was an animagi."

Cara stood back on both feet and hooted loudly that was in place of a swear word. she concentrated really hard on drake and turned back into herself. she scowled at drake then said oh well. she sat down and looked reproachfully at drake. u could have waited a little longer to figure out couldnt u?

Drake smiled as Cara turned back into herself. "I knew something familiar about that owl. I like you as a human better then an owl. and if I do say so myself your much hotter as a human then an owl." Drake gave Dragon alittle tiny parcel and said, "Don't tire yourself out. This is your first delivary. " Dragon flew out the window. Drake watched her go. Then turned back to Cara "So.." He said as he sat down again.

Cara turned bright red when drake said she was hotter as a human. yeah these eyes give it away all the time. she watched dragon fly out and said sooooooooooo wat? when drake said soo.

Drake saw Cara blush then blushed himself. "So...do you want to go get something to eat. I'm starving. I haven 't had something to eat in an hour." Drake smiled as he watched what Cara would say.

Cara giggled when drake blushed too then changed the subject. "sure" she said. umm...... not sure wat to get tho!!! she looked around expectantly as if to see some food sitting there. shall i send for a house elf to come and bring something? i dont feel like leaving the owlery yet. it is so beautiful here. all the owls......... she trailed off, staring out the open window.

Drake giggled as Cara looked around expecting food to apear out of no where. "Oe sec." Drake pulled out is wand and waved it twice. The first time a table and two chairs apeared the second time the table filled with a bunch of different types of sandwiches and two butterbeers. "Drake walked over two one of the chairs and oulled it out so Cara could sit down. "Enjoy." Drake said with a smile.

Cara's eyes widened in suprise as she watched drake conjure the table and stuff. "oh my" she said as drake pulled out the chair for her. she turned bright red again and sat down, feeling extremely awkward.

Drake pushed in Cara's chair for er then moved to his chair and sat down. He picked up a sandwich. It was turkey with Munster cheese on white. His favorite. "Help yourself. I think I made as many different kinds as I could." Drake then took a bite of his sandwhich watching Cara's eyes.

Cara smiled nervously as drake pushed in her chair then sat down opposite her. she twisted her red hair awkwardly while drake talked then took 1. she took one herself and took a really small bite. she noticed drake watching her eyes and carefully avoided his. she took another small bite and put the sandwich down and took a sip of her butterbeer.

Drake soon relized Cara was nervous. When she noticed he was looking at her Drake quickly looked down. He too took a drink of his butterbeer. "why did you decide to be an owl animagus?" Drake said trying to start a conversation.

Cara couldnt help but look up when drake asked y she chose to be an owl animagus. "well i love owls. they have to be the most beautiful, smart creatures ever. i have also always wanted to fly. it is alot of fun just gliding around above the castle. i bet i could..... oh nvm. Cara looked awkward again and took another sip of her butterbeer.

Drake smiled and nodded as Cara told him why she choosed an owl. When Cara said nvm drake wondered what she was about to say but decided against asking. "It would be fun to be able to fly everywhere without a broom." Drake took another bite of his sandwhich and fell in an akward silence.

Cara opened her mouth to say something 3 times after drake fell silent. she couldnt say anything so she fell silent herself. she was staring out the window, not aware that she was bout to spill her butterbeer. her mind was on other things.

Drake drank more of his butterbeer trying to think of something to say. He stood up instead. He grabbed some ham off one of the sandwhiches and put it in Dragon's food bowl. "Cara... Um...is everthing alright?" Cara had been quiet for quite a while now.

"wa-? oh yeah. everything is fine. just thinking... it nothing seriously." she got up and walked over to a window. she screamed and ducked suddenly as an owl swooped in through the window she was at. it was a small snowy owl. "oh hey hunny" she said cheerfully. "this is my new owl. i just got him." she smile happily as he landed on her arm, wich she had held out for him. she stroked his feathers and said "i have no clue wat to name him yet."

After Cara's owl came flying in the window so did Dragon. She landed on his outstretched arm. He pulled the letter of her leg and quickly opened it and read it. Drake had a huge smile on his face as he read it. He put the letter in his pocket then put Dragon next to her food and water bowl. Drake looked at Cara's snowy owl. "I'm not sure what to name it."

Cara had a blank look on her face and said nothing, staring at her owl. the owl curled itself up to clean itself, and it came to her. "snowball" she whispered. she smiled and looked at drake. "how is snowball for her name?"

"Sounds alright to me. but I'm not the one you has to be called that. You should ask your owl." Drake looked at her with a raised eyebrow wondering what she would say. Drake was still smiling as he thought about his letter.
