Well, I am going to assume people are going to hate me for suggesting this and all, but whatever, I want to do something... INVOLVED and not just consisting of random RPs. So I have a idea... I shall outline it here for you people to mull over, and perhaps we will do it if the site staff doesn't slap my hopes and dreams out of the sky like a errant fly *sad kitty eyes* I shall just hope that this doesn't happen though.

Survivor
Hogwarts Edition

I propose we have a survivor type event on the LC, with all the events and such that they have on such reality shows. A event like this would realistically take a good while to take place, mainly because of the fact that nobody ever gets online at the same times. But I can make this work by making it like a old Play By Email Game.

Basically what we do is have everyone write short stories about what happens in game. Several RP threads can go on to just have the alliances and chatter between people between events. But the real work will be done in the official events, which should be done like... maybe once a week.

With something like this, some rules about magic would have to be made, like no summoning or creating food with magic, and other stuff... I dunno. Or maybe... *gasp* no magic!

Events

Events would be done as individual, or group stories that would be submitted and voted on after each event. The winners would be the ones with the best story pertaining to the event. As we can't all do stuff in real time, we can have events like:

-the initial event, where everyone makes it to the island or wherever we are, and their reactions to the environment and the harshness of it all
-a random sorting ceremony, done by impartial raffle of some sort to get the tribes(or tribes could be sorted by the time zone the people are in... which might work better for tribal cooperation)
-a group story event where the different tribes build their shelter
-a challenge where tribes have to figure out a elaborate puzzle on the LC
-a group story where the tribe has to deal with a storm, or some other natural disaster

and some other stuff.


SO I have said my piece, now for people to tell me how stupid I am, and say that it can't possibly work! Get to it people! I want to hear some truly original hate for this horrible idea!

Option 4 is exactly how I feel about it, Pyrii.

But I think magic should be an important part of it. Maybe we should play it on an island in the Hogwarts lake, where we could face magical obstacles like Blast-End Skrewts and Mountain Trolls, as well as natural problems like storms, hunger, and bugs.

I think the idea sounds really cool, pass it by the headmaster, maybe he'll like it!!

I think the idea is really good! We would obvisouly need Magic to be a big part of it, but yea, I agree with the others you should definitely talk to the headmaster about it and maybe some prefects!

Well... I seem to have gotten a decent amount of positive feedback on this little idea of mine. I think I will run it by the headmaster and/or some prefects after the halloween ball and this next Quidditch match have finished. Honestly though, I am surprised nobody picked options 1 or 5.

If you people are seriously interested though, I will ask. and I will write up some more information on it too. I can probably think of challenges and such myself if nobody else would. I don't watch Survivor religiously but I have seen a good amount of it, and I am pretty imaginative with magic and such. Although you can't really tell on a site like this, where you can't make up your own spells *sigh*.

But I digress. I will start drafting a better proposal sometime this next week most likely... unless the Quidditch match takes a few weeks as well.
