If so, suggest it here Please understand that if the avatar is not of a Harry Potter character or Harry Potter related it will not be added to the database. Also remember that any avatar that you suggest will be for the use of not just you, but all members here on the boards.



1. All avatars must be 100x100 - no bigger, no smaller.

2. Please DO NOT put the LC black dot on there. I will do that after you submit it.

3. All avatars MUST be .jpg's or .png's. I can manipulate both of these and all will be saved as .jpg's, so it's fine.

4. If you are putting writing on the avatar, it MUST be in the right-hand corner. The button goes on the bottom left-hand corner. Leave room for it or I'm covering up what you wrote.

Could you post all of the smiles that you submitted? I wasn't the one that added them all to the boards, I only awarded you points for the ones that I did. I think Josh added the rest of yours, so if you could post them, I can fix that up.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, now this I did not know. As I said earlier, I assumed these were hand made avatars....hmmmm...I did not know that she had posted an avatar that you made.

But the avatars that are submitted should be made, anyone can just google a whole bunch of avatars. And I don't want us getting in trouble for taking other people's avatars without permission. Now if you have a friend or something on Live Journal that makes avatars and they say you can use them, that's another story. But yes, the avatars should be made.

i didn't know that I'm sry I saved them all to my pictures and forgot which ones I had and which ones were from other ppl. My favorites is full of icons. trust me

No you're not in trouble. Shonks was just thinking that the avatars came from various places on the net. But in my first post I should specify about making your own. But if Brittany made them and you posted them and that's fine.

That's fine. I think Shonks was just concerend about the distribution of points and what not, but again, that was my fault because that should have been clear in the first post.

But I award points for people making avatars for the LC. But the avatars should be made by you for the LC. Now, there of course are people who do not have banner making programs and such. And should that stop them from participating in this? Absolutly not. If you do know someone with a banner making program, you can give them the pictures and such and ask them to make you a few avatars specificially for the LC. Then in that sense, the avatars are yours and you can submit them for house points.

But the house points are going to stand right now, even without the two avatars Shonks made, there were still a lot of avatars. I'll just give Hufflepuff 5 points.

Yes it really should be your own Cate, unless you get someone else to make an avatar for you, for this purpose.

But I have Paint Shop Pro 8 and Photoshop, I'm going to see if there is any kind of way that I can upload it so that people can download it for themselves. I know we have a lot of people on the boards who don't have banner making programs, so this would be a good help. :)

You can d/l free trials of both prgrams off their sites and it is also possible to d/l them off places like Limewire but thats a wee bit naughty :yes:

Oh defaintly. Before I got my programs that's all I did was live off of the demos and it's probably how I learned to use them. But yeah, I hear Limewire is a good place to get it from, but you didn't hear it from me!

You didnt hear it from me either...just beware peeps. If you have dial up it's gonna take over 24 hours to download off the demo's :yes:

I don't upload things nearly enough. But here is the LC tag for anyone who wants to help out and stamp the tag on the new avatars that we have. Put the tag in the right hand corner. Of if words are on the avatar, put the stamp on the left corner, or upper corner, anywhere we can still see the words.

So here is the LC stamp. :)

You should use a watermark instead of a stamp, that way it doesn't matter if it has writing on it and stuff ^_^

Since we seem to have plenty of movie icons, thought Id make some more fun type ones :P

A watermark is basiclly a see through mark. I'll post an example of one later. I use Photshop and Paint Shop Pro. :yes:
