Title: The LC Oscars - Instructions

Professor Rogue - February 25, 2007 11:13 AM (GMT)
Today is the LC Oscars? Are you excited? You should be! We have the boardwide awards each year, but never as big as this. Congrats everyone for being apart of this! Please read these instructions carefully because it will be paced with information you should know.

Presenters: If you signed up to present an award, I need you to PM me ASAP so that I can tell you the winner and their award so that you can present it to them. KEEP THE WINNER A SECRET until you present the award to them. Don't spoil the surprise to the winner. You have been notified on which award you will present if you're still unsure, PM me and I'll tell you. To prepare yourself, check out this thread. Take a look at all the nominees who were nominated for the award you will be presenting and prepare yourself for what you will say. Before you annouce the winner you will have to name all the nominees who are up for the award along with a little information about the award. For example, if I were presenting the Oscar for the "Most Evil" award I would say something like this:

QUOTE
Rogue Collins - Presenter
Our next award goes to the Leaky Cauldron student who is the Most Evil.  This past year we've had many students who could fit into this category. From putting setting the headmaster on fire to breaking into his office, there have been a number of things that can be considered evil. This award goes to the most devious, cunning student there is. The nominees are . . . .. (name all nominees)

And the Oscar goes to  ::opens envelope:: (annouce winner)

Each presenter will have their own individual thread to present their award. If your character is sitting in the audience, after the presenter has presented can you post your reaction. Especially if you are a nominee, post how you feel.

Winners: If you win an award, congrats! In that specific thread post your reaction, give us detail. Were you surprised, did this come as a shock? Were you jumping up and down, give a hug to the person sitting next to you? However you reacted to the Presenter annoucing your name, post in detail. Then make your way up to the stage where you will be handed your award. Next, give your speech! It doesn't have to be long, but just say a few words about you winning the award. If you have any special shout outs or a couple of people you'd like to thank specifically, go right ahead. When you get your award, it's all about YOU so take your time with your speech.

Everyone: If you're not a presenter or have been nominated for an award, that's okay too, there's still a place at the LC Oscars for you! Show off your outfit on the Red Carpet, take a seat in the Anniversary Room and be a great audience member. There will be a main Oscar thread that everyone can post in, but you MUST post in the Red Carpet thread before you enter the Anniversary Room. Here are the steps:
  • Arrive at Oscars and walk (post) in the Red Carpet
  • From there, enter the Anniversary Room, find a seat and post in the Main Oscars thread.
  • When individual thread start showing up with Presenters announcing the winners, post your reactions in those threads
Other Notes: The LC Oscars will probably last a couple of days. Keep in mind that everyone is in differeent time zones so let's give everyone an opportunity to post and such. Also, there will be interviews and things like that (hopefully published in Witch Weekly) so be prepared to describe what you are wearing, how you're feeling and things like that.

I hope everyone has a great time!

Yeah Emily. I just PM'ed you and 7 other presenters. Sorry about this. This week was brutal for me and school and the awful snow we've been getting. But I've sent out 7 more awards and have about 4 more to do I think. Now it's up to the Presenters to present them and such.

So that's basically the update. We'll play it by ear to see when all the Presenters have presented the awards. When that is over with, then we'll move into the After Party where people will be interviewed and things like that.:)
