In the 6 books so far Harry with his friends faced some very dangerous creatures.
1.P.S-a Troll, 3 headed dog
2. COS- Spider,Basilisk
3.POA-Dementors
4.GOF-Dragons,sphinx and few other Deathly creatures
5.OOTP-Cenataurs
6.HBP-no creatures(unturned warewolf) but the INFERI.
7.Deathly Hallows...?
Along the way he made couple of friends with creatures Fang the dog,House elf,Hippogriff, animagi, merpeople(may be not friends),Threastrels,Firenze,Grawp,Kreacher(he is its Master). Apart from the Inferi whom he faced in a cave, the rest of the creatures were faced by Harry in Hogwarts,Forbidden Forest,Hogwarts Grounds. Now i think that J.K rowling has given a certain clues to what Harry might face in the Future. When Harry went to hide his Potions book in Room of Requirements he saw a stuffed Troll and in P.S. Voldemort/Quirell said they have something special with Trolls. There was something in a cage and its skeleton had 5 Legs-its a Quintaped

QUINTAPED (also known as Hairy MacBoon)
M. O .M. Classification: XXXXX
The Quintaped is a highly dangerous carnivorous beast with a particular taste for humans. Its low-slung body is covered with thick reddish-brown hair, as are its five legs, each of which ends in a clubfoot. The Quintaped is found only upon the Isle of Drear off the northernmost tip of Scotland. Drear has been made unplottable for this reason.

We already know that Dementors are following the orders of Voldemort, so perhaps Harry shall face them in the Isle of Drear or in Hogwarts so perhaps thats where we might find one of them.
also one might deduce that hogwarts itself is in scotland because its given in the book Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, that there are some rumours that colony of acromantulas are in scotland.
so did she mention the ISLE OF DREAR she because it sounds good or is there something else to it.
That's interesting. I haven't read Fasntatic Beasts for a long time, and I hadn't really thought about that. I'll have to get busy and re-read Fantastic Beasts.
You know, Nikhil, it's folks like you who can come up with these great and apparently miniscule facts (to the rest of us, at any rate) and apply them logically to both fact and rumor that allready abound about a book to come out-, it's you guys who spark the imagination as much as J.K. herslef does. Really, I mean that with a sense of awe.
And now that that's out of my system...
This is an interesting theory. Though part of me wonders, even were they to turn to the island of Drear, and to run across one of these fuzzy, five legged friends-- I wonder if this creature would pose a threat to our intrepid trio. As in, yes it has a high M.O.M. classification, but would it still prove weak to wizarding skills.
Or, as you are so nicely putting up fro debate for us, would this creature, if it shows, prove to be a major story element? Either way, I think I'd find it pretty cool to see a Quintepod en-story ^_^
Wow I feel clueless here. :P I havent read that book, but I'll sure to get it now. All of a sudden, I feel like an HP dunce. lmao!
