Leona walked into the bar and sat down at a very large table. She had expected several of her friends to show up, so she could help Zac, familiarize him self with more students that weren't Slytherins. She ordered a diet coke from the bartender reflecting on the last time she was here. It wasn't a pretty picture, she thought. She began twiddling her thumbs waiting for some one to show up

Dai pressed her way into the doors of the Hogshead tavner with a certain amount of interest; she'd never been here before. But, as fate and an invite would have it... The place was kind of dirty, just by the atmosphere. Dai smiled at this, felt like some of the back alleys she sometimes haunted with more rough and tumble mates before coming to Hogwarts.

Spotting Leona and her brillant hair midway across the room at a table all on her lonesome, Dai made her way over and pulled out a seat beside her roomie and friend. "You know," she started, forgoing greeting, "you could do to catch me in person for these invites out to meet folks. I almost missed the note you left in the room-- Nezume decided it would make for fine chew paper with out either of our say so. So, who're we meeting?"

Leona blushed slightly, "I'm sorry...shoulda known better, we're meeting Zac," she paused for a moment, "He's a new Slytherin," she said seeing how she would react to that. When her Diet coke arrived she took a long drink of it using the straw to make it look like she was really concentrating hard on her drink rather than on something, someone else.

"Zac? All right, I've not run across him in the school before."

As usual, the girl was entierly oblivious to any shy or flustered behavior on Leona's part concerning this news. Instead her attention was turned to the waiter/bar keep asking her what she'd like. Dai replyed in turn that a good solid butterbeer would do her fine and then turned attention back to Leona. "So, your helping him meet new folks, ne? You usually aren't quite this generous with the average young one, Leo, you must have really hit it off with him."

Leona nodded her head without saying anything and still sucking up soda through her straw. Before she knew it, she had guzzled down the entire glass. She sat up and felt sick, like she was gonna explode. "I'll be right back!" She said and ran into the girls bathroom. After she finish 'heaving' the soda that came down too fast, she brushed her teeth and mouth washed, she reapplied her lip gloss. Her eyes seemed pleasantly smoky. Satisfied that she didn't look like a total mess, she walked out of the bathroom and sat down casually next to Dai and ordered another diet coke.

Zac walked into the bar and spotted Leona and another girl. He had worn once again all black except his eyes which shone brightly green as he walked over nervously. He had no idea why he had agreed to this, It felt awkward. Standing there he waved, "Umm . .Hello," he said and sat down next to Leona. He felt foolish, 'must think I'm odd,' he figured in his head. He wasn't acting like a Slytherin and he had better start, he decided. Sighing he watched them carefully, "Would you guys like anything to drink?" he offered looking at the diet coke Leona had in her hand.

"Hi, Zac" Leona said looking up from her diet coke, she put her hand on Leona's shoulder, "this is Dai, or D.L" she began, "she enjoys potions and anime, and has a rat named Nezume that enjoys chasing my cat," she said laughing, then she switched off, "Dai, this is Zac, Zac's a really good quidditch player, obviously he's new here," she smiled, "so there, ya'll are introduced," she said smiling a cheesy grin.

Zac smirked looking at D.L, "er . . .nice too meet you," he said with a nod of his head. Feeling awkward once more he smiled and let his eyes wander as he looked aroiund the bar. There wasn't much too see he decided, turning his attention back to the two girls.

"Right," Dai drawled as she eyed Leona with some suspicion. She was finally catching on to signs of odd behavior, "Pleasure, I'm sure Zac."

The girl then gestured to her butterbeer bottle, which had been brough out while Leo hurried to the loo. "I'm in fine shape on drink, I think. Anyway, your a quidditch player, are you? What kind of broom do you own?"

Zac smirked, "Yeah I play quidditch, own a firebolt 2001," he replied sadly. He had always been ashamed of his broomstick, even if he had been through a lot with it. He hoped to get a newer one later on. "Are you into quidditch?" he ased wondering if she knew about broomsticks would she be into quidditch?

Dream breezed into the bar. She'd gotten a call from one of her staff saying they needed an extra hand, which turned out to be perfect because Dream had also recieved a mysterious summons from Leo to meet her there. She caught the eye of her waiter and held up one finger to let him know she'd be right there. Then she walked over to Leo, who was at a table with Dai and a guy that she hadn't met before. Judging by the look of him, he was the new Slytherin that Remy had told her about. Dream had a soft spot for Slytherin boys, so she couldn't wait to meet him. "Hey guys, what's up?" she asked.

Dai took a pull of her butterbeer and snorted. "Who, me? Not really into quidditch at all. I like brooms though, used to get into a mess of trouble on my Da's ole Comet, you know, before we were supposed to be riding? And I've had a thing for keeping up on brooms since then. Firebolt sounds fine by me though, I haven't a broom at all at the moment myself. I keep thinking, you know, that I should wander down Diagon Alley someday and see what I can afford. But then I think of the potions ingrediants that can be bought with the same funds..."

Dai shrugged, "Well, you can see the relative conundrum there."

The witch nthen gestured as though to wave it off. "Anyway," she continued, "hows Hogwarts treating you? Aside from being pulled out frolicking by our one and only Leona."

Zac looked up as a girl walked in he hadn't met yet either, "Hello," he said and turned back to listen to D.L. He listened interested as she spoke. Zac smirked, "Quite alright," he said looking over at Leona. "Yeah have been to more places then I would have been to on my own, that much I can say," he commented getting up. "Would you like anything . . . umm, I'm sorry don't know your name," he said to the girl who had just joined them. Turning to the other girls he offered once more, "You sure you guys don't want anything?"

Leona smiled at him, "no I'm fine she confessed," she said slightly blushing at him trying to keep some sense of propriety around her friends, or they'd tease the mickey out of her. She began twiddling her thumbs and whistling nothing in particular.

Dai, recalling from some small corner of her mind that manners were applicable, nodded to Dreamy when she had arrived even if she had finished her converse of the mo'. "Erm," Dai continued after Zac had made the second offer, "No sir, I think I'm still well taken care of on Butterbeer. And this lovely red headed Gryffindor would be our one and only Dreamy Collins. Dream, this is Zac, though Leona may have allready told you that... even if she is trying to tune us out by whistling at the moment."

Phoenix walked in to get something to drink and have a chat with Dreamy. When she walked thru the door she noticed some of her friends. Phoenix walked up to the counter, "Hey Dreamy, how are you today? And could I have a butterbeer, please?" Phoenix gave Dreamy a warm smile and sat down. She turned to the others and said, "Hello. What is everyone up too?" Phoenix noticed someone new that she has never met before.

Dream flashed mischevious grin at Zac. "Nice to meet you! Let me guess... Slytherin?" she asked impishly as she gave a wink to Dai and a teasing look to Leo. Just then Phoenix walked in. "Hey Phoenix! We're supposed to talk today aren't we? Gimme a sec and I'll get some drinks. Butterbeer you said? I'm gonna have a cherry firewhiskey. Anyone else wants something?" she asked in general.

Leona who had took a break from her whiskey pointed at Zac, "Um I think he's already on that escapade," she said, "Hey Phoenix! Come sit down with us!" She smiled looking forward to see who else was coming. "Hey Dream," Leo asked, "when is Remy getting here, or is football on again?" she asked

Dai was mildly confused by the wink Dream threw her, all though her mind came to the conclusion that she had all the facts to a secret everyone knew, she was grasping at putting that picture together. With a shrug, she tossed off the problem and turned to other needs. "Hey Phoenix, always good to have another friendly face about a table. Cheers to the butterbeer, I'm still working on mine."

The witch then listened in on Leona's commentary and raised her eyebrows, "Remy's comin' too? Oh good, Zac won't have the look of a heram all to himself going on."

Remy:Slytherin's Official Future


Remy walked in his head hung low. He didn't see anyone else or rather didn't even lift his head to look simply walking over to the bar and sitting on a stool. He soon had a bottle of firewhiskey in his hand and drinking like there was no tomorrow. He was determined to drink his sorrow out of his body.

Leona blinked as she saw Remy in the bar, she was about to shout, hey over here, but she saw that he looked depressed. she wondered why, the last time he was depressed was the night Dream broke up with him. And if she knew her gossip (forget her friends) like she thought she did every thing was going well for the two.

Phoenix noticed that Remy walked in. He seemed to be down. Phoenix looked at the gang and said, "I will be right back, guys." Phoenix walked over to Remy and put her hand on his back and asked in a sweet concerning tone, "Are you okay Remy?" Phoenix was a little worried about him. He was always a chipper person but this time obviously something is troubling him.

Zac scowled as the Gryffindor asked him if he where Slitherin. Was she emplying something? "Yes, Slytherin," he responded a bit rudely and then felt himself blush. He hadn't meant to sound rude. Listening for a bit he noticed Remy walk in. Unsure of what to do he sat there. He didn't know Remy that well, and knew when one was depressed they didn't want to be bothered, and appearantly Remy was depressed.

Dream raised her eyebrow at Zac at the tone of his voice. She liked him already. Then she saw Remy walk in and could tell something was wrong. Without saying a word to anyone she abruptly walked away from the table and went behind the bar. She grabbed two shot glasses and a bottle of firewhiskey and she hopped up onto a batstool next to Remy. "Hey! What happened?" she asked anxiously.

Remy:Slytherin's Official Future

Remy was suprised to see everyone suddenly come to his side, it was nice having so many freinds at a time like thsi but now was not the time he wanted to discuss this. He downed the rest of the bottle and grinned as he sheepishly said, "My favourite team was playing today and they lost and are out of the playoffs, i know its not the end of the world but still." he finished

Dana Lynn walked into the Hogshead and walked up to the counter and ordered a butterbeer. After he had handed it over to her she turned around and looked out over the various tables looking to see if there was anyone that she knew. As she was about to give up she caught sight of Leo, Dai, Dreamy Becky and Remy and a new boy that she hadn't met before and walked up to their table. "Hi everyone is it ok if I sit here with you?" She looked over at the new boy "My name is Dana Lynn, whats yours?"

"Remy, its okay. There is always next year. Have hope." Phoenix was trying to be comforting, but he still seems down. She looked at Dreamy and just gave her a little nod, meaning that Phoenix is going and for her to make him feel better. Dreamy always made Remy feel better. She was just an awesome friend. She did that with all her friends.

Dream caught the look Phoenix gave her, and she gave an interceptible nod in response. She filled up both the shot glasses and pushed one towards Remy. "Why don't you tell me what's really going on? Cause I know for a fact that your team won. I watched the stupid game with you, remember?" she said softly.

Phoenix walked back to the table of all her friends. She sat down next to Dai and said, "Hey can someone give me a new butterbeer? Thanks." Phoenix sipped some more on the butterbeer and just listened to what the others had to say.

Dai watched the episode with Remy from her seat with interest, but made no effort to aid Phoenix and Dream with helping the Slytherin Prefect. She knew the older boy, and liked him well enough, but certainly did not know him well enough to help with what were obviously very personal problems. The girl smiled though, as another familiar face came in to join them. "Hiya Dana, come on, you know your always welcome to join us. Find a seat, mate."

Noting a moment of silence from the boy this little get together was origionally being thrown for, Dai filled in for him. "This is Zac, he's new here so Leona set out to get him introduced to some folks around the school."

Dai noted with interest as Phoenix made her way back to the table, leaving Dreamy and Remy to work things through over at the bar. Her request made Dai snort and jab a finger at the newest boy among them. "Hey Zac, between Dana showing up and Phoenix demanding another butterbeer-- actually, add another one for me to that list--- that would be your cue to take up again on asking about fetching us drinks.."

Remy:Slytherin's Official Future

Remy turned to look at dream and smiled "i don't want to talk about it right now, hon" and what's going on over there. He said as he pointed to the table all the girls and zac were sitting at. Is it someone's birthday or something" he asked dream as he looked at her fingernails.

Dana Lynn took a seat beside Dai and smiled at Leo and Zac "Hi Zac nice to meet you, are you enjoying the school so far? I am sure Leo will help you get settled in just fine. She is really cool. Dana Lynn looked over her shoulder at Remy, Dream and Becky and then back at her friends at the table. "What is wrong over there? Did I come at a bad time? Dana Lynn asked worridly.

"Ah, me thinks Remy is having a bad day. I also think Dream will handle it. So when it comes to drinks and friends, it can never be a bad time to join, can it? Oh well, some time I'm oblivious to tactlesness, so possibly there can be bad times, but all babbling aside, I would say this is not a bad time."

Leona had come back to earth and looked over at Zac and blushed....He seemed to be equally out of it. She laughed softly, then tapped his shoulder. "You alright there?" She asked, "you still with us?" She inquired.

"I'm Zac," he said as the a girl asked his name. Getting up he walked to the counter to buy everyone a drink. Standing there he ordered the drinks and waited patiently for the person behind the counter to get all the beverages. Balancing the tray he walked it back to the table giving one to everyone. Once he arrived back at the table he sat down and grabbed one of the butterbeers gulping it down in one gulp. Turning to Leona he nodded his head, "Yeah I'm fine," he replied quickly.

"Good," she said, and took a butterbeer, "and thanks," she added and took a sip enjoying the feeling if of the sweet liquid trickling down her throat. She looked around at everyone gathered there "hey, any one have some interesting goings on that that want to share with the group?" She asked in hoping some one was up to something cool.

Dai excepted a butterbeer from Zac with a small show of graciousness, mildly debating finding herself a straw to play with as well. "Thanks mate, appreciated. Anyway, points of interest, you say? Well, I think I may have finally transfigured my poor test rat Nezume into a decent pin cushion last night. No blood, no squeaks. I'm ignoring the tail deal, I call it a handle. But I did transfigure him back all the way, and that's an acomplishment!"

Dream silently as Remy for a moment. "Alrighty then. No not a birthday party. It's a little get together to introduce one of your house mates to some of us from the rest of the school. Why don't you come over?" she asked. She didn't want to pressure him, but she could feel everyone looking at them, and knew that Remy must be as uncomfortable with attention as she was.

Dana Lynn nodded at Zac as he told her his name and took a butterbeer from him after he left and went to go and get some for the group. "Thank you Zac" she smiled at him and then looked at Leo. " I don't know about anything interesting about me, but does anyone know if we are going to have a dance or something for Valentines day? I think it will be really fun! I really like Valentines Day. And I like to Dance!" Dana Lynn smiled at everyone and waited for their responces.

Leo looked at Dana and nodded. "Yup there sure is," she said smiling. She didn't want to run her mouth off saying that Zac agreed to go to the dance with her. If he wanted he could say something, "It's February 19," she added in the end.
