Ohhh, I guess I'm going to be the first one to disagree with you. I don't like Harry and Hermione together. I prefer Ron and Hermione (although I love lots of other couples too), they just seem to be meant for each other. And you cant deny all the foreshadowing in the books and the movies, I really think they they are going to be together.

I've always been on the fence with "foreshadowing" in the books. I can see arguements for both sides. But...I do feel like JK might be a Hr/R shipper. (Sadly) But that doesn't change the fact that I still like Harry and Hermione better together. :)

For me, it's the H and H thing. Yeah, it sounds kind of lously, but do you realize that if they got married, both their initials would be HP? Interesting!

I love how they act in the books, the flirting and such. That's why I love them. Seeing it onscreen just confirmed things for me. The chemistry between Dan and Emma is great. But I'm with Li and Christi too, I think JK is a H/R fan. . which stinks. But we'll see how it turns out!

But anyways, let's pick things back up with these two! Why do you like them so much? For me, it was in the very beginning, Book 1 when Hermione kissed Harry and told him of how "A good wizard" he was. That during her speech about friendship and stuff.

Why do you like Harry and Hermione?

well i think the thing that made me switch over, is just the fact that they would look good together. i also think that its kinda cliche. the lead guy, of course gets the lead girl. its kind of obvious. also, ron's kinda dumb in the books and movies, and harry at least tries. so hermione and harry, the smart ones, should get each other.

Why. . . hmmm I think I might just be a sucker for the hero getting the girl. :lol:

But in all truth I think that Harry and Hermione understand eachother much better then Hermione and Ron. I've never understood the fighting turning into love thing. . . with Lily and James it was different in my eyes. James was doing things. . . that we so. . . out of line.
Ron is just annoying. Only a little though.
Harry and Hermione's relationship is much more mature. Hermione lets him vent for as long as needed. Harry does so. Then Hermione gives her thoughts on the matter. Which Harry holds in very high regaurd.

I'm with you all on that. I know Harry's the lead man, but him and Hermione would so work for me. I'm a sucker for the H and H thing. Ron gets on my nerves in the sense that he's annoying. I never got how him and Hermione fighting could sudeenly turn into romance myself. He means those mean things he says to her so I don't really see how he's liking her underneath all of that.

I'm going back to what Caitlin said somewhere about JK saying that the wrong people get together. I'm thinking that's Ron and Hermione. What if then, Hermione nearly gets killed. And you never realise how much someone means to you until they're gone. In the brief moment where he assumes the worst, look at his reaction. And look at his reaction after he finds out she's alive. That could draw them together.

the H and H thing could definitly work out for me too. i love those guys. i dont think that ron and hermione would make a cute couple anyway. theyre too different. ron and hermione are always fighting.

Even though it's not my favorite SHIP and it's not going to happen in the Harry Potter books..... I LOVE THIS SHIP! Harry needs someone like her, someone sensible. Ron- stay with Luna.

I agree about Ron staying with Luna, now those two are meant to be! But I've always loved Harry and Hermione. Watching the Prisioner of Azakaban movie, you can defaintly see the chemistry between them at the end when they go back in time and such. I loved it.

I like Harry and Hermione together. Think about it, Harry needs someone who is sensible enough to know when to hold on and stop him, and when to let go and allow him to do what he wants. Hermione and Ron just seem to akward and weird. I could NEVER see them together.






P.S. I HATE how Hermione's character is expressed in Movies now as well.

Reggie!!! I had NO IDEA that you were a Harry and Hermione shipper too! That is awesome! I really don't understand where the infuation for Ron and Hermione came from. To me, from the get go, Harry and Hermione were the perfect couple... They were both raised in a world of muggles, not knowing that they were wizards and witches. She has the book smarts, he has the raw talent. He's got bad eyes, she's got bad hair. She is way too smart for Ron actually.... and mature. It actually has a parallel to me with James and Lily's relationship. It just makes so much more sense!

Thank You for pointing out exactly why Hermione belongs with Ron. Harry does not need Hermione at all you see where as Hermione completes Ron without each other they are two misunderstood youths wandering along this dreary world but together they are soulmates. and as for Harry having raw talent actually it is more along the lines of raw luck no offense to Harry but what has he actually done to show his raw power was it making a corpereal patronus which he did after recieving a years worth of private lessons from Lupin. I am sure somebody else could have accoplished the same if they had been given the same lessons as mr has the world handed to him. Hermione is way too smart for Ron yes your right on the money on that one but Harry is no einstein either. and if anything if a Hermione ?? relationship draws comparisons to James and Lily i hate to say it but i say it reminds me of a Draco/Hermione one lol. wow i guess i was bored or something i better stop now.

Geesh! I don't even know where to start with that post! What do you mean I pointed out why Hermione belongs with Ron??? I pointed out how Harry and Hermione compliment each other perfectly! Like 2 halves of the same coin! And he did not take lessons for a year to learn how to do the patronus! He started being taught after the x-mas holidays and he used it before the summer had started, and other people could not do it that quickly which is why everyone was impressed by him. Also, I clearly said that Hermione is the book smarts of the two, and by the way Harry is WAY smarter than Ron. And yes... Harry is lucky, but he also has a raw talent, and he gets stronger with it every year!

so if i have a teacher teach me a certain lesson privately for several months then how is that fair no wonder all his classmates side against the boy who has the world handed to him but i am going off topic here and dream this is a discussion we will have later lol. as for Harry and Hermione i wouldn't have a problem with it but i really think Harry belongs with ginny more than he does with hermione sides has she ever shown any feelings for Harry??? they are more like brother and sister to me if anything she is the one he confides his crushes to (cho and ginny) not exactly something u do with someone you love
