Title: House Cup Winner & Updates!

Professor Rogue - December 28, 2006 11:43 AM (GMT)
It's taken awhile for me to accumlate all of the points, but I've finally done it! The house with the most points can finally be annouced! And the winner is . .. .

::drum roll please::

HUFFLEPUFF!

Yes, I was very much surprised myself. For awhile there it looked as though Gryffindor was going to win for sure. Grffindor is in second, and a very surprised Slytherin is in third followed by Ravenclaw in last. The final standings just goes to show you that it was truly anyone's game. The Slytherin's have been in last place all term I think and they've made an excellent comback in 3rd place. Congrats everyone! You should defaintly celebrate in your house boards.

What really went to the Hufflepuffs was the June RPG challenge that many of them participated in. They recieved 150 points each, which really put them in the lead. Check out the individual points participants in The Hourglass. If you re-calculate it and find that I've made a mistake, you will receive house points for Term 4. Congrats everyone!

For the other updates, just to let everyone know, the LC's domain name as changed to:

http://forums.the-leakycauldron.net/

So please update your Favorites and such. I had to change the URL so that the main one, (the-leakycauldron.net) could go to the LC's official website. Yes you've heard me right. The Leaky Cauldron is coming out with it's own official website! This website will be much like mugglenet and all the othe HP sites you've seen, only it will focus a lot on what we're doing here on the boards. Some of you are already helping me with the site, but if anyone else is interested please let me know. To give you all a taste of what the website will look like, take a look at this sample.

Sites like Mugglenet are very fancy. They pay a monthly fee (which is expensive) to host their website and do the things that they do. Good news for us! I just checked my e-mail and found out that we're going to be hosted for free. We will be able to do everything those top websites do and more. Apparently, there are a lot of very good website hosts out there and we have gotten a hold of them. So stay tuned for that, html is very complicated stuff but I'm learning it bit by bit.

Cheers! :broomstick:

Talon Rivieras - December 28, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)
ROFL! I love that hufflepuff pyramid Shonks. LOL! Yeah Reg, why were you surprised? I thought they were going to win from the beginning. I mean, they were winning when Shonks was practically the only member that even bothered to log on in Hufflepuff. It was about time they would win again after the house got more people. I mean seriously....

How'd Ravenclaw get so behind? *shame on yo-them*

I'll stop there only because there's a limit on how many smilies you are allowed <_< :P

I'd also like to congradulate ALL the houses on their efforts! I know some of you don't have that many members active in your houses, so you did awesome even though you were few in number! GREAT JOB! :wizard:

Congrats Huffles!!! Rupin and Twilight were the saviors I think, cause they were voting up a storm for the LC. Those points add up really really fast. So a big round of applause to all of the Huffles and 3 cheers to Rupy and Twilight!!!!! :D

Thanks, Dream! Actually, I think you kept me going. I'd see your post every day, and I'd think, "I can't slow down now, or Griffindor will roll right over us!"

So three cheers for Griffindor, for making us work so hard!

Slytherin might surprise you this term. I think we are more active now then we were last term. Thanks to Remy and Talon it seems that there are more active slytherins on this term than last term. So dont leave us out of the running yet.
